All Area Overhead

Great. These guys know what they are doing and very responsive!!

We used all area overhead since they replaced our garage door a number of years ago. However I don't think we will use them again. The job took much, much longer than expected and we had to manually open and close the garage door for over 3 months. The main problem was that the wrong panel was ordered, however getting updates about when the new panel would arrive was terrible. I had to call each time (no calls to me unless I called). Many times i would get a text back that they were in a meeting and would call me straight back, only to never receive a call! Also, apparently our panel was shipped to the San Antonio dispatch center but there was no room on the truck for it to come to Austin. I was told they would try to get it delivered on a separate truck . However a week and a half went by without anyone contacting me and only when I did call them did we eventually get the panel delivered and installed. When the panel was installed, the technician left without us having a working garage door - we had an old motor and he said that he thought the uplift electronics had fried. I fixed the garage door 10 minutes after he left by replacing one of the sensors. I would have expected him to try to fix the door after we had waited so long for it!

Job was done quickly and door works great.

The technician was prompt, determined the problem and replaced the unit in the original trip. Very satisfied with the product and the work. Would recommend andwill use the use again.

All Area was referred to me by a good friend. When I spoke with them on the phone, Allen (I think) was really nice and professional. I was excited to work with them, as it seemed he was knowledgable and polite, and came with great references and reviews. He gave me their dealer's website, told me to look through the options, and to email with the ones I wanted quotes on. I spent quite a bit of time doing that, sent them over later that day, and then didn't hear back. I called to follow up, he seemed genuinely apologetic, and said he'd get the numbers to me within a couple days. After a couple days passed, he then called me to explain why he still hadn't sent them (at this point, I wasn't angry; I get that he was slammed and appreciated that he called, and his apology), and that he would have them to me by the next morning, but then I still didn't hear from him. I followed up one last time another couple of weeks later with another email, but never heard back. Mind you, I want nice doors, that are probably expensive, so I would have thought he'd want to sell those to me. Final note: I'm a Realtor (which I never told him, but it was in my email signature) and it never ceases to amaze me how many people/companies give me really bad service even though they stand to get a lot of business from me/my clients if they'd simply do a good and professional job.

I have had this company out 3 or 4 times, and each time they were terrific. The last time I had a problem, the door wasn't working correctly. The person I talked to said he could save me the cost of a service call, that he knew what the problem was. He was right, and the door worked as it should. How many companies would do this? This told me they have so much business because they're excellent. This is one fantastic company.

Technician was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. I was always updated on his arrival time, as I live in a high traffic area. He was able to save me several hundred dollars in a new garage door opener by making some adjustments to my old opener, which I though would need to be replaced. I was aware that some parts might need to be replaced, as they were original parts and reaching that point where they might breakdown ( door spring ). The cost of the replacement spring was reasonable and what I thought it would be. My overall assessment of All Area Garage is that they rate excellent in communication, price and professionalism. I recommend them for your garage door needs.

This company is great. He was on time and very courteous. I purchased the on-line coupon and even though he said I might need new rollers after he examined the door and adjusted it, he thought I could get by a little longer without new rollers. No high pressure to buy. I appreciate that very much and I WILL call them back.

Contracted to have the spring replaced. Allan arrived on time and called ahead to let us know he would be there soon. Repair was completed very quickly. Not only did Allan replace the spring as requested, he checked all bolts, lubricated all friction areas, checked all components and even checked and adjusted the garage door opener. Not only did he not try to sell me parts that I did not need, he gave me tips to extend the life of all the parts. I have dealt with other garage door companies in the past and by far this was the best experience I have had. Here is a key for you: When you compare this company to others on Angie's list, don't just compare the satisfied comments but compare the prices charged. You will find some with consistent good comments and satisfaction but look to see if what they have charged is consistently high or are there many cases where the price is low. That will tell you as it did with me on this company that they are not replacing parts that do not need replaced. I am very pleased I choose All Area Overhead!!

This company continues to provide fantastic customer service. I believe this was the 4th time I've used them for service, and they have yet to disappoint. As I've said before, there is no room for improvement.

They were very pleasant when I called to schedule the tuneup and came on time. They were very pleasant and professional and solved my problem in addition to the tuneup. They kindly did not charge me extra for the repair.

Very well. My door works much more smoothly, there was a bent area that sometimes kept the door from going up and they fixed it at no extra charge. They also lubricated everything and the door is much quieter now. Great Service from a Great Company! I won't hesitate to use them again.

All Area Overhead was very polite and had someone come to my house in the next couple of days. Turned out I had the wrong battery in the garage door opener. The repairman cleaned my sensors in an effort to justify his visit but did not have the correct batteries with him. The charge was $104. I understand there will always be a service charge for coming out and diagnosing the problem but I felt this was excessive. I still had to go out and buy the correct battery. The repairman spent the majority of his time in his truck figuring out the bill!
