WOW! What a breath of fresh air to find a service person like Allan. I called him last night after 5pm and he answered my call, said he'd be here the next day btwn 2-4 and even showed up earlier at noon. His business states Cedar Park and we're in South Austin so I wasn't sure if he'd service this far down so I was thrilled that he did. Allen has great interpersonal skills, is very honest, down to earth guy and gave us a variety of options without pressuring us to do any one of them. I specifically called his service because of the fantastic reviews that he has on Angie's List and everything they say about him are true. He's a real gem especially b/c of the prompt response he can provide a customer, and he's real good at explaining everything you'd need to know about garage doors w/ his 20 yrs of experience. It was a real pleasure to find him and we'll only call Alan from now on if we ever have any problems in the future!!

Allen was fantastic. I called him Tuesday night and he was willing to come out that night. But before he did anything, he walked me through a few things that I could do on my own to possibly fix it (door was not opening and closing completely). I was not able to fix it but It was not an emergency so he was able to schedule me for the next day. He called before he came and was right on time. He knew the problem immediately, fixed it, and then showed me how if it were to happen again. He did a little tune up and was finished! He charged me very reasonably.I immediately trusted him and would call on him immediately if I needed a repair I would also recommend him to others.Great guy, great service and great price!

The counterweight spring on our garage door broke, rendering the garage useless. Fortunately, the cars were outside, but I still wanted this fixed as soon as possible. Allen from All Overhead offered a lower price than what I had paid for my last spring replacement, showed up the same day and on-time, and performed the repair very efficiently. He also replaced a broken hinge and pointed out some other issues, such as worn out rollers, which I decided to have replaced. Overall, a very positive experience.

Allen readjusted one of the tracks that was in a bind, tightened the overhead springs and lubricated the existing rollers and hinges on my door. The door now opens very well manually, and Allen saved me the cost of an opener. This in a businessman who understands that his reputation is his future success.

Allen showed up on time and ready to work, with a fully stocked truck and large tool trailer which I thought was great. It just felt like we had hired the right person. He was friendly and got right to work, and was more than happy to explain everything he was doing and answer all of my questions without making feel like I was bothering him. At one point he showed me the opener support bracket and suggested that it be replaced. It was obvious that it was in need of replacement and he gave me a quote and I had him do the repair. It was great that I never felt pressured or that he was trying to sell me something I didn't need. The garage door is now in good working condition, no longer uneven and is much quieter than it was prior to his arrival. I couldn't be any happier with Allen and his work and suggest that you stop reading now and just call Allen.

I would recommend this firm to anyone who wants to listen. I called in the morning, and he scheduled an appointment later the same day. Then he called back and asked if he could come early! He was very polite, friendly, and professional. He offered me a discount on his services, even above the coupon I got from Angie's List. And when he was done, the door was so silent you cannot tell if it is moving. Overall: outstanding service from a real pro.

They were great, and there was nothing bad about them for sure. The guy that came out did a great job. He was really thorough and did not pressure me to buy anything extra. He did show me some things that were worn out and probably would not have lasted too much longer; all the parts were about 25 years old. They had a special for about $90, but I ended up spending around $250 because I had to get those parts replaced. Everything is holding up great, and I would certainly recommend them to others. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I liked that he was right on time and that he did not try to up-sale me. In terms of price, I do not even know how to compare it to anything; I just went ahead and used the deal. I would use their services again in the future.

The door are now so quiet! The entire house used to shake when they opened or closed. I purchased this through an Angies List Deal. The same day I called, he fit me in between two other customers. Efficient, pleasant, and did a fine job.

They really helped me solve my problem of a squeaky garage door. They didn't try to sell anything additonal than my Big Deal that I purchased. I will call them again in the future.

I was very pleased with my experience with Allen from All Area. He was prompt and took the time to explain not only what he was doing, but what I should be watching for in the future. He also gave me a price on replacing my doors as well as installing an opener on my third bay. He is tidy, efficient, courteous and knowledgeable. Nice to know there are still some "good guys" out there. Must also pay him a compliment on the fact that he followed up with me twice to set up our appointment. I can be a bit distracted and at times forgetful. Most of the service providers I have gotten "Big Deals" from have done that, but not all. That was most appreciated. I would not hesitate to reccomend All Area Overhead to anyone looking for garage door service.

Appointment set for 8:30am; arrived at 8:12am. Job finished by 8:40am. Very professional. Seemed very thorough. Adviced of potential problems down the road, but did not pressure to fix at this time. Overall, very positive experience.

That went well. He was punctual and professional. He knew what he was doing.

Julio was very polite and knowledgable. He did all the work in a very workmanlike manner. His only drawback was he wasn't familiar with the details of the special from Angie's List. I then printed a copy for him and he then completed the work. The work was all done in a very professional manner.

Allen was very helpful. My husband, years ago, had backed into the garage door and Allen showed me the crack that extended up the door. Sometime in the future we will need to replace the door.

I actually bought this on Angie's Big Deal, so the price was lower than normal. Allen called me a few days after I had purchased the deal and asked to set up an appointment, which I really appreciated, and frankly is just good business. He was on time, efficient, did a great job and was very polite. I would definitely use them again and recommend the company to others.

Scheduled the work two weeks in advance to accomodate our schedule. Arrived at 10am per committment. Completed all work at 10:40am. Allen Mimms was very courteous and anxious to do a good job. Found All Area Overhead on Angies Big Deal offer and was not disappointed in the result.

Allen contacted me promptly and then came out at the agreed upon time to perform a garage door tuneup on my double and single garage doors. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He worked quickly and efficiently. Since I had considered the future replacement of my existing doors with wood doors, he took the time to explain some of the pros and cons of changing to wood doors. He did not try to sell me on changing the doors but did offer to work with me in the future if I decided to change the doors out. He also showed me a trick to programming additional remotes and added the second door onto one of my existing remotes, a feature I didn't know it was capable of. I was extremely pleased with the service Allen provided and will likely be contacting him when I decide to replace my metal doors that were damaged by hail.

Allen arrived right on time, and he performed roller replacement and tuneup on my garage door in about 30-40 minutes. He could have completed it sooner, but we had a nice conversation about garage door quality and maintenance. He gave me some great info on how to keep my door running smooth for years to come. He showed my the wear and tear on my current rollers, and I was glad I got them replaced when I did. A month of a year later, and my door may have been bound up and crushed by my opener. Allen was very professional, and I would recommend him to anyone looking needing garage door maintenance.

Allen arrived only a few minutes into the two-hour appointment window. He lubed moving parts and checked them for physical damage and wear and tear. He was finished in about forty minutes and left the work site clean and tidy.

After hearing a very loud pop after closing my garage door, I noticed that one of the two springs had broken. I called All Area Overhead company at 3:30 p.m. that day and spoke with Allen. He gave me a quote over the phone to repair either one ($149) or two ($189) of the springs, and said he would be able to come out that afternoon to make the repair. Allen said he would be at my house around 5:30 and was there on time. The complete job took about 40 minutes and he wasted no time getting to work. Allen was extremely courteous and professional. I chose to have both springs replaced since they were 16 years old. There was no pressure to have both replaced -- it was my choice. The price quoted over the phone was what I paid and he did not try to sell us anything extra. I highly recommend this company for garage door repairs and services.
