Gathered three estimates for replacing a damaged 16x7 Clopay garage door. 1) $695 + $75 for perimeter seal, 2) $675 and 3) $650 + $45 for perimeter seal from AAO. Each Company was very prompt in responding to my call. After learning that the Mid-America door had a better gauge rating (24) than many of the other doors being installed by competitors I decided on All Area Overhead and not just because they offered the lowest price. I was looking for a slightly better door than I had had and Allen was very helpful. Allen and a coworker arrived early on a Friday morning and gladly helped me move a couple of large items from my garage and completed the job that morning. They also put the items back in the garage upon completion of the job. The door, tracks, springs, cables and pulleys were replaced. Allen even rewired the old wiring leading to the garage door opener that had a short at no additional cost. Door looks great.

Great! Owner was professional, timely and friendly. Work was well done and fast. They made sure and test the garage doors to find any issues, and corrected them on the spot.

Just great. Allen was clearly knowledgeable about garage doors, and quickly and efficiently went over the options with us. He promply got our existing setup repaired so the garage door would close, overnight, and the new door was delivered before noon the next day. I could not have expected more from these men, and we love the new door! It was installed properly, and everything works to a "T". A sign of character is that Allen did not try to sell us a new motor&light...just wait until we need it. Allen even got our outside keypad operational: including providing a 9 volt battery for it! Little things make a big difference.

Our garage door was derailed and we didnt want to attempt to fix it ourselves and mess up the door further. I checked Angie's List for a referral and found All Area Overhead and it's high ratings. After my first phone call I was told they woud check their schedule and see how soon they could be out to the house. Within an hour the tech was at the house and quickly fixed the problem. He was professional and courteous and super efficient. I'm so glad I now have someone to call for any future issues!

Excellent experience. We got multiple quotes. Allen came out to give an estimate very quickly. He is very professional but friendly and answered all my questions. Once selected he was able to schedule when we needed within a few days. Excellent communications and on time. The install was done with high quality materials and workmanship. After a few weeks I noticed the door was rubbing slightly as it closed so I called and he came out on labor day and replaced a hinge and made a few adjustments - no questions asked. It is so quiet opening and closing it barely makes any noise. Allen stands behind his work. Would highly recommend him.

The experience was A+ from start to finish. Allen was very friendly and did a great job. He explained everything to us and made sure we understand how it worked before he left. We would definitely recommend him to all of our friends and we will be using his company in the future for our garage door needs. We are very pleased with our new garage door.

My garage door would no longer open. I called All Area Overhead based on other reviews, and mentioned what the issue was, and also that I might want to have them perform a tune up and roller replacement per a coupon. We arranged a 2 hour time span for them to come out the next day (even though they were amenable to coming out the same day). They called 30 minutes prior to the start of the agreed upon time frame, and were at my house right when they said they would be. He diagnosed the issue immediately (broken spring), and gave me a quote. I mentioned the other work, namely the tune up and roller replacement, and he suggested just replacing the broken spring first, then see if anything else is needed. He replaced the broken spring in about 20 minutes, and said that he wouldn't spend any more money on it, as the garage door and opener are already 17 years old, and it would just be spending good money unnecessarily. Wow! Honesty! When the garage door and/or opener actually do need replacing I will definitely be calling All Area Overhead to have them perform the work.

Allen @ All Area Overhead was great. He was prompt and responsive, courteous and professional. Perhaps best of all, I needed a replacement part and he had it ON THE TRUCK! Great!

I bought the deal for the work and he didn't charge me extra for the other work he did. I haven't had any problems with the door since. As soon as I called he scheduled it and he was right on time for his appointment. He was very professional and friendly and neat in his work.

We called the company that morning and they were able to come out by about 2pm. Mr Allen was very professional, quick and very helpful in explaining the problem with the door. He put the cable that had come loose back in place, lubricated the springs, and replaced 10 rollers on the door. He was very quick but he took the time to answer any questions we had and was very informative in explaining the mechanical wear and tear on our garage door. He told us we should lubricate the springs every once in a while and not jolt the garage door when opening and closing it to extend its use. We were very pleased with the repair and would use and recommend All Area Overhead.

Allen served garage door repair @my house thru the home insurance call. Arrived on time, did the job and also checked the door. He seems to be the person you can trust to evaluate the repair needs for the garage door system. After finding some issues gave me the advice speaking from his experience but not trying to sell his services at the same time - more like keeping my interest in mind of not wasting the money for the unnecessary repairs. Spoke to him about the overhead storage I plan to install and also got advised on how to better position it considering the possible need to replace the door at some time. I only paid the trade call fee (the rest was covered by the home insurance) but I asked him about the pricing for the garage door replacement and his estimate sounded very competitive.

My wife woke up early to drive to work this morning and the garage door wouldn't work. I took a look at it at 5:45 am, gave up trying to fix it myself at 6:00, found All Area Overhead on Angie's list and gave them a call at 6:15 and had a working door by 7:30. Quick, courteous, professional, and showed me what to look out for in the future. I'm definitely saving his card.

Great. I found him on Angie's list and saw he was very well rated. When I discovered my door had broken I was concerned because we needed to be able to come and go in just a couple hours. I called him and left voice mail and he responded promptly. He said he just happened to be in the area (Georgetown) and could be at my location within 40 minutes and he was. When he arrived he set to work immediately with all necessary replacement parts (springs and rollers) already on his truck and was finished in about one to one and a half hours. It was a real relief to have gotten the work done so well and quickly.

He is a great job. He did not make a mess and he removed and took all the old stuff. He hook up my garage door opener. He was very polite and professional.

They were very professional and provided an accurate diagnosis; also few days after installing the new one they came and check/fix some noise that was being caused by the old rail system Their prices are very good and the work done was excellent

Arrived ontime and worked diligently to quiet down the horrible noise when door was operated. Not much can be done to correct the badly engineered Genie from this affliction. The noise is a bit better.

Not only was he prompt, he did extra work at no extra charge! Very fast service, did not try to 'upsale' on his service. Nice young man.

I spoke with Mr. Mimm's on Thursday regarding having our garage door repaired and we made the appointment for 8 A.M Saturday morning. He was one of the Angie's List Members who had 100% positive reviews which was very important to my wife and I. He was on time and a very personable man to deal with while he repaired the door. He took the time to explain what he was doing with the door to myself and my daughter as he worked. The one thing that stood out about Mr. Mimm's was the fact that he was up front and honest about about the cost and repairs needed to the door. It is rare that you find someone like Mr. Mimm's these days in business. His honesty and integrity was second to none.

Wish all home projects went this well. It is nice to know there are still hardworking individuals out there trying to make an honest buck. Would definetely hire Allen and All Area Overhead again and would recommend them to others.

I called over the weekend to schedule work. I was told he could come out as early as Monday. I asked him to come on Thursday instead and he had no problem with that. On Thursday he came out inspected the doors. He replaced the rollers on the door and looked at the other doors to verify nothing was wrong with the other doors. He was very professional and helpful.
