Description of Work: I called because I had a leaky toilet and a bathroom sink that had been dripping. Scheduling the service was easy and there were reminder phone calls, this was very helpful. On the morning of the service, the handyman was very late. He called and let me know he was running late and we discussed the repairs that needed to be made. He said it sounded like a part for the toilet would need to be replaced and I ran out to purchase that part. He didn't examine the toilet but changed out the part anyway. When he went to repair the sink he said there was no leak. I had previously shut off then water valve to keep the hose from leaking. Over a month later, there has been no leakage from the sink. He also adjusted the stopper on another toilet. Later that night I inspected to work from the original toilet and I still had the same problem. I had to have someone else come in and they determined the issue was in fact the hose leaking. After I replaced that hose the leaks stopped. I felt taken advantage that I had to pay someone to come in and do the work again. That being said, the handyman was kind.

His business card listed a number of credentials relating to energy evaluations. He recommended upgrading to a high efficiency a/c unit with a split option for upstairs. Single pane windows not as energy efficient as double pane. Unable to inspect duct work and insulation in attic due to blocked entry. He checked the a/c unit to verify age, used a meter to determine insulation in ceiling of upstairs room and made recommendations.

Description of Work: We used an Angie's list deal to purchase fence repair. They replaced 6 worn boards and stabilized the gate. They provided a 2 hour time window and called before they arrived. The gentleman had asked about the size of boards in his call, so he arrived with the proper materials to make the repairs. He did a good job securing our fence for a new dog. He was efficient and polite. The gate may require some additional work, since one of the main posts is loose. He was very clear about that, but knew that we needed an immediate solution so that our dog would be secure. I was very pleased with his service and the work that he completed. |
