Description of Work: The service A+ provided was fantastic! The handy man came and fixed my garbage disposal, saved me hundreds on hiring a plumber by finding the problem, drained out my dish washer that was affected from the disposal, hung a chandelier, fixed a lose front door knob and lock, hung a coat rack and did it all with a smile! He was great and saved me lots of money!

Description of Work: The company kept changing the appointment, to an iNconvenient time---past the date we were having house guests.. So we never got any service. Wasted $99 and we may not use your " service" again.

Description of Work: Electrician installed 3 ceiling fans with lights in 2 hours. | |Service was initially scheduled for Monday, 8/4, but electrician was behind schedule. He called me directly and stated he would come the following day. I called the A+ early Tuesday morning and they confirmed the communications directly with the customer regarding the work schedule were not consistent with company policy and the originally assigned electrician was not available that day. The company immediately reassigned the work and scheduled service for Thursday. The new electrician showed up promptly, was friendly and ensured the work was complete. | |While the first assigned electrician was unreliable, it was clear he was not following at least one company protocol and steps were taken to ensure the prompt completion of service. In addition, I am satisfied A+ was committed to providing a good customer experience.

Description of Work: The electrician arrived right on time. He spent a lot of time and expertise evaluating my main problem, which was blowing a circuit breaker whenever I use the microwave at the same time as the toaster or the coffee maker. He discovered there was no easy fix. The solution would take several hours to do and cost about $300 to run one or two new lines from the box, through the attic, to my kitchen. I wasn't ready to make that decision on the spot, but will keep this company high on my list if I decide to do it. He then successfully completed a small electrical project for me which is working perfectly.

Description of Work: After purchasing the big deal on Monday, August 18, I phoned the company and explained to them the type of work I wanted done (replacing five interior doors). Katy responded that someone would be getting back to me later in the day. No one called. I called the company again on Tuesday and Katy said her manager just walked in the office and they would be calling me back to discuss the work. Again, I did not hear back from the company on Tuesday. I had not heard from the company by 11:00 Wednesday morning so I decided I did not want to use a company whose idea of customer service did not meet the standards I expected.

Description of Work: It was a very nice experience. They called and scheduled the appointment, and Kevin was right on time. He checked my fence and told me it really didn't need any repair at this time. (It's actually my neighbor's fence that has the problem!) I appreciate his honesty, and will contact them if/when I decide to replace or repair the fence in the future.

Description of Work: A-Plus replaced our downstairs unit with an energy efficient model and completed weatherization (including insulation) that qualified us to receive several rebates and a federal tax deduction. They explained all aspects of the process in great detail, explained options including pros and cons, provided us with a much better understanding of how the system works and how appropriate size is calculated and were patient in reviewing complicated elements as needed. They managed some challenges with the City inspection and went the extra mile. They were always upbeat and friendly (Debbie in the office became my great pal during the process, and always helped to see that things were addressed by the technical staff and field staff if things got complicated). They prepared a great packet that made it easy to set up extended warranties and to be ready for tax filing. They continue to service our units - they are a great group to work with!

Description of Work: They replaced a HVAC unit.

Description of Work: Service tech found the problem was only the air filters in the ac unit were excessively dirty. (Tenants hadn't changes them for over a year.) Check for other possible issues, found none, just charged for the service call. Tech explained everything clearly, office folks were very nice on the phone.
