They came out free of charge. He noticed we had a sprinkler system and recommended that we have a sprinkler system company come out and turn it off. They said to start off small and then call us back if that is not the problem.

The plumber told me my tank had been discontinued, but he could put in a replacement for a little over 500 dollars. I intended to hire this service, but had two extra filters I wanted to mail back to dispenser company. I called for the address and was told the cost of the part was $150.00. A plumber from another company put the tank in and it took less than 10 minutes. The Ben Franklin plumber was professional and explained all services offered. I am sorry that due to the cost I was unable to use this company.

The service is outstanding, although the price is higher than other plumbers I have used.

When our new gas hot tub heater required an increase in gas flow to maintain pressure, we embarked on a long process involving our local gas company, our pool repair service and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to achieve the proper levels. Although it was a trying ordeal, our experience with BF Plumbing was a bright spot. They arrived promptly and explained exactly what they were doing at all times. They even called the pool repair service and co-ordinated with them what was necessary to make the heater work efficiently. That was a huge stress relief for us, because at that point we were at a loss as to how to tackle the problem and not doing a very good job of explaining to the various servicemen what the previous one had told us. When the increased gas flow created additional gas leaks, they quickly corrected the issue and now we have a wonderful hot tub and functioning gas grill. If BF hadn't taken the bull by the horns and contacted the pool people, we would probably still be sitting in a tepid tub and eating medium rare steaks!

They did a wonderful job! They gave us some good advice as well! They come when they say they are going to come and they were great!

He thoroughly looked at each of 3 complaints and diagnosed and then gave me the price to fix them. After my approval, he fixed the two problems I mentioned above.

They were prompt. They took care of everything the way they said that they would. They were polite and easy to talk to. And they answered all my questions and concerns.

I was extremely pleased with these plumbers. Matt and Josh showed up on time. I have had bad experiences in the past with plumbers so I was expecting to be disappointed. However, this was a very pleasant surprise. This is the first time I've used one off of Angie's List. Matt and Josh were very professional. They completely repaired my problem and did it a for a very reasonable rate (my last plumber charged me a ridiculous rate and didn't even fix the problem.) Matt and Josh also went through my house and took the time to explain any other possible problems (water heater, other pipes, etc.) They were very thorough and efficient and I was truly amazed at how much they were concerned about fixing my problem. The toilet is only a year old (I got it from a big box hardware store) and I had problems almost immediately. I wish I had used Benjamin Franklin Plumbing from the beginning. My water heater is pretty old so when it becomes time to replace it, I will be calling Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. I can't stress how pleased I was with this company and with the plumbers Matt and Josh. I will recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to my neighbors and they are the only company I will call when I need a plumber in the future.

Contact with the company was great, with very quick response and guaranty of time frame. A call before arrival assured I would be home and the repairman (Tim) was very courteous and professional. The quote was more than I was prepared for (for having a clog due to silt) and I had to postpone repair for a week to get the money. Tim did assure me that it would be warranted for two years. Just estimating/quoting the price cost 49 dollars. I then asked what the cost of the repair would be when they came back and they quoted 219. I then asked if they would give me the Angie's list coupon on the quote, but they stated they would only do it on the repair. Tim did have to call to find out about the Angie's list coupon. I called back the next week to schedule the repair and verify the cost and Angie's coupon. The scheduling and confirmation was great. Tim showed up on time and they called about 15 minutes before to make sure I was home. After working on the valve and getting the silt out (as much as he could) Tim advised that since it may recur, he could not warrant it., unless it was for the parts he put in. I wished this was advised before since we knew what the problem was. He did say that to come out and blow it out again it would be less because it would not involve parts. When he totaled the bill it was $271. I was advised that I would not be charged for the service fee twice and he took that off and he also took off the Angie's list discount. He was very considerate of my house and always used foot protectors and brought in his own towel and floor covering to protect the bath. He cleaned up after himself as well. A very nice professional. He discussed options with me on the hot water tank.

They showed up the same day, did a great job. A little more expensive than I expected, but overall a good experience.

The visit was scheduled promptly and the plumber arrived within the time window, just barely. He explained our options and treated 7 drains. Since we had chosen the chemical cleaning, he carefully closed all the remaining drains to eliminate the smell. The cleaning worked and we've had no further problems. I liked the service, and the plumber was uniformed and polite. The service call ended on a sour note when he made an unauthorized "inspection" of my hot water heater and recommended it be replaced (we've had no issues). I didn't like the attempt to sell services that I didn't want and didn't appreciate the "follow-up" calls to see if I'd made a decision on the estimate he'd left. They also stuck a sticker on the cabinet door underneath my kitchen sink without asking.

Very polite certified plumber came to our house. He was very respectful of our flooring and wore covers over his shoes. He did a wonderful job! Kind of pricey though.

Matt arrived at the scheduled time, was extremely courteous, talked me through everything he did along the way. He was very careful not to track dirt into the house (wore coverings over his shoes). A wonderful service experience.

My electric bill had almost doubled and I was having all major units checked. I made the appointed for Saturday morning between 8 and 10. When the serviceman arrived I told them why I had called them and that I found out the day before that it was my A/C Heating that caused the high electric bill but the serviceman said they he would still do a home check to make sure the water heater and other plumbing were working correctly. He checked everything and said it all looked good with only one recommendation. He did not charge me anything. It was my first experience with the company and a great experience.

We found that our number 2 hot water heater had failed late on a holiday Monday morning. I called Benjamin Franklin because we were happy with their work replacing a toilet about 6 months ago. They apologized because they did not think they could get someone to the house before 6:00 p.m., but assured us that there would be no overtime charge. They called at 1:15 and said they could have someone at the house in 45 minutes. Two plumbers arrived at 2:00, determined that the loss of electrical circuits required a replacement, located a replacement and had it up and running by 4:00. They told me exactly what it would cost and told me where I could find a $100.00 coupon in my telephone book.

They were exceptionally ready to service and they came out on short notice. In fact, we set up an appt. between 6 and 8 PM and they ended up calling to see if they could come out earlier. There technical level was outstanding and the service was completed in about an hour. They cleaned up well after the job.

Service was prompt. Came morning after my call. Gave option of 8-10 or 10-12 for arrival. Called to say plumber was on the way at 7:30. Plumber was very polite, explained everything he was going to do, checked house for any other problems. We have used them before and have recommended them to others.

He was very courteous and answered every question that I had. He showed me what he was doing every step of the way while completing the job. I love the fact that the company called ahead of time informing you as to what time the person doing the job would arrive. He arrived within fifteen minutes of the notification. He did quote the price to me ahead of time. I always ask a lot of questions until I can get a visual of what's going on and understand how something works. He did not get impatient with my questions and I liked that. I think Benjamin Franklin should serve as a training model. The other plumbing company was rude and a total rip off.

This company really takes good care of you and stands behind their word. If there is something that we were unhappy with, they would be great about coming back out to deliver us what we wanted. They are all master plumbers to my knowledge but they can be a little on the pricey side of things. Their workmanship and ease to deal with definitely make up for the small difference in price. I like that they are always quick to get here and the work is always done well.

I like that this company will not charge you a service charge if they come out and do not do any work. They have always been very reliable and they guarantee their appointments. Ben Franklin has always been on time and prompt in getting to my service needs.

Ben Franklin was recommended to me by the president of our bank and he does an outstanding job always. They are totally professional. They wear uniforms consisting of navy blue pants and white shirts. They will estimate the job prior to getting started. Of course, if something were to come up during the course of the work, the estimate would go up. They, however, do have basic prices for basic situations. They always get your input as far as pricing. All the plumbing work we have ever had done has been done by them. They have done stuffed drains, and they also took care of a situation that we had in our family room. The water had backed up and they had taken care of all the plumbing work necessary to fix it. They have done everything and anything we have ever needed. They work in a timely fashion and they are very professional at it.

We thought we had to replace the whole toilet. Ben said he could repair the old one with no problem. While he was in the bathroom, he suggested replacing the shower head and that was the best advice we have taken. He was quick and professional. We will call him again!

I cannot say enough good things about this company. The men that come out are always very professional and their name says it all, punctual. I was very satisfied with the quality of their work and the main office called back to follow up as soon as they walked out the door. They called to make sure everything was one hundred percent to my satisfaction. I was truly pleased.

This contractor did a super job for me and they didn't even tear up my lawn. I was also impressed by how quickly they responded to my call. The customer service there is great and the guys that came were very friendly and professional. I know they did their best to fix the problem at the lowest cost for me.

I was very impressed with this company and would recommend them.
