Company came out as scheduled, found the leak repaired the pipe and was professional in all aspects of the work. Financing was available if needed.

We noticed our front lawn faucet was dripping and called Benjamin Franklin. We made an appointment for the following day for the hours between 8 and 11 a.m. At 8:00 sharp their representative called to say he was on the way. It took less than 30 minutes to correct the problem. He also accepted the Angie's List coupon.

The quality was good, but it was extremely expensive.

They were quick and they were on time.

They often send out a coupon that waives the service call fee on certain days of the week. That fit our situation. They came out, honored their coupon, diagnosed the problem and told me how much it would cost, replaced the valve, and were in and out in probably 40 minutes. I couldn?t have been happier with them. They are reliable, and I have used them before too. I would recommend them and would use them in the future, if necessary.

It began well with the dispatcher telling me they could get someone to the house that very day. She said they would charge $49 for just showing up, but before any work was done, the plumber would tell me what it would cost. She did NOT tell me that the minimum charge for ANY job was $99. The plumber showed up and said, it's your sprinkler valve and then he shut it off. He did not tell us that that one action of his was going to cost us $99. On the invoice he gave us, it clearly shows that $99 is the least that this company charge for a job. I don't know if we would have said, go ahead and shut that valve off--but we would have liked the option. His failure to state that his one action was going to cost $99 was more troubling in light of other "problems" with our plumbing that he proceeded to point out. He said we needed a backflow prevention test and a new valve to keep grey water from the sprinkler system getting into our drinking water. He said our pipes into the house were probably too small, given the age of our house, to handle a large volume of water, and we should think about replacing them. The sprinkler company that we had come out said, first, that the city is the one to do backflow prevention tests, and that, in any event, there was nothing wrong with our valves, only that old sprinkler valve. I feel like Benjamin Franklin, while competent, looks at customers as revenue streams, and that they were not upfront about the true cost of their services. Not only will we not use them again, we would not recommend them to anyone.

We were extremely impressed with Benjamin Franklin Plumbing (BFP). I sent a message via Angie's List to set up an appointment for the service. Courtney called me within 30 minutes to set up an appointment for the next day between 1pm and 4pm. Around 1:30 on the scheduled service day, BFP called and said that our plumber, Matt, was enroute to our house. He arrived shortly after and was polite and professional (including wearing floor protectors). He found the source of our problem, explained the issue, and provided us with an estimate for the work. We approved the work, and he quickly fixed the problem and installed the new shower head. He offered to do a complimentary plumbing inspection (which we suspected would reveal "new" problems for upsell), but he reported that everything was in good order. I was pleasantly surprised. He then when through the work order with me, took my payment, and ask if there was anything else he could help us with. Overall, I was really impressed. Next time we need a plumber, we know who to call.

They were very cordial. They did the work and didn't rush around. If I had any questions they didn't seem to be upset. They didn't mind me watching them do the work. The price was fair. They came when they said they would. I would use this company again in the future.

They installed a new garbage disposal unit. They came and fixed some busted plumbing on an emergency basis in the wee small hours. They work 24/7. They do good work. They come promptly. They do the work they say they are going to do and do it for a price they say they will do it for. They are very professional. They are punctual.

They came right out when I called them. They were very courteous and professional. They fixed the problem and that was that. My husband was the one who chose to go with Benjamin Franklin. The price seemed reasonable to meet, but I have nothing to compare it to.

They had come on a Thanksgiving weekend by the end of the day to fix the sewer. They were very good, and we were very pleased with their service.

My plumbing backed up in the bathrooms on one side of the house. They sent a plumber in the evening and he was at the house for a few hours. He worked on the clog from the roof but he never worked on it from the toilet area. He fooled around on the roof for a few hours and finally admitted he couldn't get it. Then he said he would have people come back the next day to dig up my living room to look for the problem. Then the next day my son and his friends went through the toilet and had it unclogged in 20 minutes.

They tried everything! They told me up front what my options were and what each one would cost. I was only charged for what was actually able to unclog the drain. They had to get on top of the roof to fix it. They definitely earned their money that day.

They were punctual and did a good job, however a little pricey too.

We got this company's name off of Angie's List. They were great. They came out at the specified time for the estimate, and did all the work immediately. They replaced some worn out parts and installed new sinks and faucets in our bathroom. They also replaced a leaky faucet in our backyard.

The price was entirely too high. They did tell me beforehand how much it would cost, but I had no choice. They were punctual and they did a good job, but they are extremely overpriced.

They were able to come out pretty quickly. The job was done within the day and the price was accurate to the original quote.

There workers were terrific! They are always courteous. They are on time. They just can't do enough to help you.

They were very professional when they first showed up to give us an estimate, and they showed up when they said they would, which is a huge plus. They were clean and neat. They didn't tear anything up or anything like that. They did a good job!

I had a couple of companies come out to give me an estimate for repairing a slab leak and some other plumbing repairs I needed. One of them was Benjamin Franklin, Arlington location. Benjamin Franklin's plumber came out with a person he was training. They were very courteous and had a very polished approach. They explained they charge a set price for a slab leak repair no matter where it is, easy or hard. They listed the additional charges for some other things I needed doing also. There did not seem to be much if any discount for adding the other things onto the slab leak repair they were already quoting for $1850. I asked lots of questions and got the impression they were answering out of sheer politeness and "professionalism" rather than being one bit personally concerned about my need to know what I was paying for and what was going to be used to repair my home. They wanted to use "Pex" line for the re-route of the line around the damaged pipe and go through my attic. They assured me over and over that even though it is plastic, it is safe to use in my attic. They did not offer to use copper pipe. Pex has been used the past 10 years or so. It is used a lot lately because of cost. It is far cheaper than copper. It is plastic and easily cut with a box knife. It is easy to run though walls because of the flexibility over copper pipe. It is brittle in very cold temperatures. I know others will argue, so get a piece of it yourself and try bending it when the temp is below freezing or cutting it with a knife, just see for yourself. What if a rat decides he wants to chew on it in my attic? I did not want it in my attic. I decided to get another company to give a quote. I got one with a good BBB rating to come out. They offered to do the work with all "L" copper line and high pressure fittings for the same price AND they added all the many many other jobs I needed doing for less than $500 more. I did not go with Benjamin Franklin not because they are a bad company, but because someone else offered better materials, pricing, and a more personally caring approach. I gave a rating for that company on Angie's list too. They had not been previously rated here. Now they are.

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing came highly rated in Angie's List and I found their coupon for no service call charge in the magazine, so I contacted them to schedule a toilet repair. The lady who took my call was polite and professional, fully explaining the charges and policies. I scheduled the work for the next week (my choice). When the plumber came, he was on time and immediately set out to diagnose the problem. When he pulled the toilet off the mount, he found major problems. The retaining bolts were not attached to anything firm, as the flange and toilet mount were broken. He also found the toilet bowl to tank attachments were corroded and needed replacing. He took digital pictures and fully explained the options. I elected to have the mount rebuilt, replacing the flange and retaining bolts and a new kit to attach the bowl to the tank. He began to work right away, and had all the parts and tools needed to do the job on his truck. Within four hours total, all the work was completed and the plumber explained that all the work had a two year warranty for parts and labor. Overall, I was favorably impressed by the punctuality, professionalism and quality of the work performed. I can now poop without experiencing "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride."

From the initial phone call to the job completion, everything was handled and completed in a timely and professional manner. When I made the initial call at 9:00 a.m., I asked if the repairs to our outside faucet could be accomplished today, as freezing weather was forecasted for tonight. I was told that a plumber would be out between noon and 3 p.m. to fix the leaking faucet and I would be called when he was on his way. At 10:30, I received a phone call advising me that a plumber was available and was asked if he could come early. That was fine with me, and Donald arrived at 10:45 and went right to work. This company does not do band-aid repairs, but instead replaces the faulty component. After the main water supply was turned off, the old faucet was removed, the water line thoroughly cleaned to ensure a good connection, and the new faucet soldered on. Then the main water supply and the faucet were turned on to check the security of the replacement and to flush the line to ensure the water line to the faucet was clear. As Donald was doing the paperwork, he asked my permission to accomplish a free inspection of all the plumbing in the house to give us an idea of the status of the house plumbing and things to monitor for possible problem areas. This took approximately 30 minutes and he was very thorough in checking all phases of the house plumbing. He then gave us the written and verbal results but never pushed to have anything done today or at any time. We decided not to do any more repairs or replacements today, but we will definitely use this company again for any future problems in that area.

We had a cracked and clogged sewer pipe under our slab. Two guys came out on time and began work. They were very careful to lay out a canvas tarp over the carpet in the hallway and the room they would be working in. They also setup a suction fan and used it in the area where the jack hammer would be used to control any dust. The repair was completed and fresh concrete poured in place. I noticed that they were careful to anchor some additional re-bar into the 2ft x 2ft hole for added strength. After the repair everything was put back together and vacuumed. I was very pleased.
