All I can say is WOW.... I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen. I am tearing out a wall and moving appliances around where I will need to purchase new cooktop, oven and microwave. I didn't know where to begin with some serious questions such as now that the wall is removed I am needing to replace the gas cooktop with a down draft and will I have enough room to place an existing back blower with the same cut out in my granite. What brands, what size, where will the microwave be relocated once I remove the double oven? There were many details needed to help with layout, selection of product, brand identity, etc. I walked in the store an hour before closing and spoke with Daryl Bullock he spend an entire hour plus 15 minutes after closing to answer all the questions I needed. He helped me pick out each product according to my needs and measurements for my carpenter he even talked me down from a higher priced gas cooktop to a more reasonable one even though price was not an issue. (No Really) I also found out that they can not only sell the products but have the ability to install and conform to what ever is needed to refigure any part of the work. As for pricing the appliances were very competitive to those even on line maybe 20.00 more than the best price. So in conclusion I am going to buy all the appliances from them when I am ready in the next week or so. I am a Real Estate Broker and will recommend Rodenbaugh's to all my clients. If you don't believe this review I would highly suggest comparing customer service and pricing at other stores

He did a great job. I can't say enough good about the repairman or Rodenbaugh's in general. I would definitely hire them again.
Description of Work: The repairman came to fix our dishwasher. He was prompt and professional. He cleaned up afterwards. He was unable to repair the unit because the part needed to fix it was no longer made. He was honest and offered recommendations of different brands he'd suggest replacing our dishwasher with based on what he sees run best.

Everything was outstanding! From the initial discussion with Daryl who reviewed everything in total with detail, to the installation, to the post sale follow-up, hand signed thank you letter by Daryl and Ronald Rodenbaugh, and running the quietest dishwasher ever experienced --------- we are so happy! Everything about Rodenbaugh's is TOP NOTCH ------ we love Rodenbaugh's.......
Description of Work: We wanted the quietest dishwasher made and stopped in to see Daryl Bullock. Daryl was stellar. He showed us all the models from the 40db all the way to 60db. We settled on a 46db KitchenAid and arranged for the installation.

We will always call these folks for repairs. They fixed a washing machine and thank goodness, they caught a leak and told us we needed a plumber as well as their repairs. good honest folks who know their stuff.
Description of Work: we asked them out b/c our ice maker was not working. the repair man said he could fix it but in a few months we would have to have him back out b/c something else was wrong. We preferred saving another service visit and had him replace the bad part, which he had with him, nice, huh? We have used these folks b/4 and the service fee is high but worth it for an honest evaluation. We trust these guys and they don't try and jack us around. They are honest, up front and give a good estimate b/4 working.

I first called to inquire as to what washers and dryers they had in my price range. They were very informative and knowledgable. I drove to Allen, Texas, made the purchase from a very pleasant man. They installed the set and were awesome! I am using them for my new kitchen granite countertops, also. This is a family owned business and I wish I had known about them when I first moved back to McKinney, Texas.

(Please note I am not sure about the price paid. Part of the cost was covered by innsurace.) Rodenbugh's was very good to work with. They were patient with us while we decided what to do and handled last minute changes without issue. Chris worked with us over the course of many meetings to determine what we wanted with helpful advise on the pros and cons of various options (laminate or hardwood, ceramic or natual stone.) The installers were very polite and professional. They arrived on time and worked hard all day. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. The work was done on schedule and at the agreed on price. The tile work was especially well done. I have never seen a better job anywhere. I almost regret not having the entire house tiled (instead of wood and carpet)

Ultimately, it was a product problem and not a repairman problem but one of the two repairmen who worked with me seemed to resent the fact that I used my dishwasher and was impatient to have it repaired. I think his view was that I should be able to wash things in the sink "like the did when he was growing up." Really? I light of the numerous repair calls on a dishwasher that they originally sold me, I was hoping that Rodenbaughs would offer me a substantial discount on a new one. I like to use local small businesses when I can but I expect a higher level of service than a big box store. Disappointed.

I purchased an upright freezer and had it delivered. Jeff was excellent in helping me understand the differences in the makes and models. They carry models that are ?made in America? (as much as possible these days) which I strongly prefer. This is a local business committed to customer support. The transaction was completed and the freezer was delivered the next day. It was set up and the delivery person showed me the options and how they worked (great customer support after the sale). I will use these folks for all of my appliance needs in the future!

Gary at Rodenbaugh's was very helpful in selecting the right type of flooring for my home's slab type and condition allowing me to focus on color/patter selection.. The flooring order arrived as promised and the installation crew showed up as expected and completed the installation in the promised time frame. It was especially great that the installers were great to work with and assisted with all of the heavy furniture, etc.. I'm very happy with the entire experience and have ordered additional flooring from them!.

In August 2010, we woke up to 1 inch water from a busted toilet line. Whole house of hardwood floors and most carpet was lost. Our insurance company referred us to Rodenbaugh's. We have 2 dogs and during the 2 weeks removal and installation I was trapped with them in one room. The crew from Rodenbaugh's was very courteous and thoughtful to our needs. They asked if they could play their music (not loud). They cleaned up after themselves everyday and informed me when they were leaving for lunch or at the end of the day knowing that I was 'trapped' in a room with my dogs. They also discovered a very dangerous electrical issue that was hidden by a previous owner. At the end of the 2 weeks they worked in our home, I actually was sad to see them go! We will use them again.

The reason I go there is that it’s a small business and I like supporting local people. If I go elsewhere they have a very expensive warranty but here the warranty is only quarter of the price. When I’ve used the warranty, they’ve come out and exceeded my expectations every time. It is a great company and they provide great service. I would rate them highly overall.

We visited the store looking to purchase a new refrigerator, Darryl was working that day and was very helpful and knowledgeable. He spent over an hour with us just giving us insight into all the different options & companies with refrigerators. He even looked at the consumer report ratings book and gave us what he thought were our best options with the criteria we were looking for. A month later we called Darryl back and spoke to him over the phone, we had looked at their website and selected a refrigerator. We had our refrigerator delivered about 4 days later. The delivery team were prompt and spent about 15 minutes with us explaining all the ins and outs of our new refrigerator. The customer service is excellent compared to some of the big box retailers. We were pleasantly greeted on entering the store, and Kelly our salesperson then met us at the appliance section to guide us in our options. They were never pushy, but very consultative in helping us to choose the right product to meet our needs. We came in to replace our microwave with a comparable model. Kelly was very thorough in guiding us to the various options that would fit within our cabinet dimensions and then explaining the installation process that would come with the different microwaves. She patiently answered our questions about the features on each model and even directed us to a more standard, lower cost version when that might be the better alternative. Once in the store, we decided to look at the ceramic glass flattop stoves, and again, Kelly guided us in looking at our options, never once rushing us through the process or pressing us to close the sale, but rather demonstrating that she was there to help us as we enjoyed looking at all the models. On the day of the installation, we recieved a call telling us of their approximate arrival time. The team consisted of two very professional young men. They went to work immediately and had the entire job done in less than an hour. This included the cleanup. They did a fantastic job with the installation. Everything looked great. I always expect some clean-up on my part after having an installation where there is some construcution work to be done --they had to cut the countertops to properly fit the flatop stove. To my amazement, there was none. They had wiped the counters and vacuumed the area, even taking the extra step to clean under the counter in the cabinet storage area. This was an excellent experience with Rodenbaughs from the first meeting through to the final installation. They delivered a truly expectional customer-driven service, and they have earned the right to be considered our first option for any future needs.R
Description of Work: We purchased a new in-cabinet microwave to replace the original one that was installed by the builder almost 12 years ago. While at the store we also decided to replace our aged, but still working, coil stove with a new ceramic glass flattop model. All the installation work was sold and performed by Rodenbaugh's.

I bought a washing machine, dryer, and a fridge freezer from Rodenbaughs based off of the reviews on Angie's list and my experience talking with them. I'm not a very easy customer - I ask a lot of questions and take up a lot of a salesman's time but they didn't seem to mind. Their prices were comparable to Sears but delivery and installation was less. What was most impressive though was dealing with Richard in the store - I told him what I wanted (high capacity and efficiency over style) and he was straight with me. He could have tried to upsell me but he did not, and he had a lot of information about the products. The guys who came to install the units were highly professional, very polite, and explained how everything worked in simple terms. Again, I was impressed. I've given this family-owned and operated shop the top rating because we received superb service from beginning to end and I would definitely use them again. Note - they stock a select range of brands: the ones that they trust and know that they can get parts for should that be necessary.

My Insurance agency works with this company, so they contacted Chris to come out and do an inspection. Inspection/Estimate - GREAT! Chris came within 24 hours and took pictures and told me what all would need to be replaced and what I could expect as far as the procedure. He discussed my options and invited me out to the showroom in Allen to see the tile samples, because we had decided to go with tile in the bathroom and laundry room. Showroom Visit - GREAT! I went out the next day and looked at all the options. Chris was there to show me several samples, and let me take home the tile sample I chose to make sure it would work. He also gave me a grout color chart and asked me to pick an option. The wood sample that matched my existing wood in other rooms was loaned out, so he came out to my house a few days later to make sure the color matched the rest of the existing wood as well as to pick up the tile sample I had taken home from the showroom. He told me they would start after Thanksgiving. Then, the scheduler called me and told me that they would deliver the wood that week so that it could acclimate and start on the repair December 1. Work Crew/Punctuality - NOT good at all. They arrived at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, Dec 1,, and moved the furniture out of the room. The rest of the day was spent tearing out the floor. My old floor was difficult to remove, so this took longer than expected. I did like that Michael came and told me that they were going to lunch each day so that I knew where they were. That's about all I liked. I work from home, and I had to close my office door to try to keep the noise down. They played the radio really loudly, as though they were the only ones in the house. They left between 3:00 and 3:30 every day. 9:00 to 3:30 with an hour for lunch? Wish I had those hours. Friday was more of the same, and very little progress was made before "quitting time" so they told me they would be back on Saturday. Saturday they got there between 9:30 and 10:00, and only worked until 1:00, even though they were running behind and still had a great deal of work to do. The bathroom floor still had not been removed and, in my opinion, really needed to be the first area cleared so that the concrete could air out. I contacted Rodenbaugh's before we started to ask approximately how long the installation should take, and they said about 3 days or so. Those three days had now passed, and nothing was anywhere near being finished. Michael said he would be finished on Monday afternoon, with a VERY minor amount that needed to be done on Tuesday morning. When Monday rolled around, I could tell that it was going to just continue on as it had, so I told them that this was taking longer than expected, and that my husband would have to be home with them on Tuesday because I needed to go into the office. I told them my husband didn't have time to be here all day, and that he was a teacher and needed to get to work as quickly as possible. They told me that it would only be a few things left to be completed, but never offered to come earlier to accommodate my husband's schedule or anything. I could tell from the way things were progressing on Monday that they were going to end up being there all day on Tuesday if I didn't insist on finishing the grout that day. So, they stayed until 6:30 or so to try to catch up. It's amazing what they managed to get done by working a full 8 hours. Hmmmmm... Tuesday they had a different job to go to, so we settled on finishing on Thursday. Thursday they came to put the grout in the bathroom, and install the transition pieces. They reinstalled my pedestal sink and toilet, flushed it and left. What they didn't stick around long enough to realize was that they had broken the toilet mechanism inside the tank, and it was spraying water out of the leak and onto the floor. So, my brand newly grouted floor was now flooded.....AGAIN. At this point, I was really upset, so I called to talk to Chris at the store. He said he would have Michael come back to the house to fix the toilet. He said Michael was at another job and would call or be there at 4:30 or 5:00. Michael called back at 5:30 to say that he wasn't coming until first thing the next morning. Of course, their idea of first thing and mine are really different. So, about 9:15, he shows up only to say that he didn't break that part of the toilet and he can't repair it. I will have to repair it on my own. WHAT??? The toilet worked fine until you took it off and now it's broken, but I'M the one who has to fix it????? Also, the floor transitions were not installed correctly, and have to be redone. They are basically tripping hazards at this point. So I called Chris and left a message to let him know how upset I was, and had to call him back again four hours later because he still hadn't returned my call. He was basically not really any help. He didn't have any kind of customer care at all. Just had a tone and an attitude like, "Oh, well. Too bad. So sad." He said my husband had talked to Michael and offered to fix the toilet himself. Chris never offered to come out and look at it or anything, even though I had asked him to come to my house to see all the problems. At this point, they are to come out on Monday to reinstall the transition pieces correctly. That will be Dec.12. Not exactly the three days they estimated. Professionalism/Customer Care - Chris? Great, until there was a problem, then it went down the proverbial toilet. The work crew - AWFUL. They left the garage lights on everyday after they left. They rinsed their tools in my garden right beside my front door, so their grout, sand, etc was all over my plants, and they left a tool in the garden bed. Not exactly the curb appeal I was going for. They left a coat of dust and grime all over everything inside, which is to be expected, but they never once offered to sweep or attempt to clean anything up. They left a mess in my sink after reinstalling it, like they had rinsed their sponges and stuff in there again. Mind you, the outdoor spigot on the side of my house is designed for this type of use, and they never once asked where they should go to clean up. They seemed more concerned about their own time than mine, even though my family and I were the ones who had to live in the war zone with everything all messed up, my bathroom disconnected, my washer and dryer disconnected, etc. The night that they worked late, they made it seem like I was imposing to ask them to move the furniture back to where it belonged, and completely scarred the trim molding getting the furniture back in that they did put back. The trim was being repainted, or I would have had a real problem with that. They told me not to move the shelves back in to the laundry room until the grout dried, but they never moved them back into the space, or reset the items they took out of my laundry room once the grout had dried. They left the garage door standing wide open all day while they worked during the coldest cold front we have had all winter. I finally had to turn my heater off because it was just running constantly. My house was 65 degrees WITH the heater on. Either one or both of them smoked cigarettes, and with the door standing wide open all day, the smoke wafted right on in so that you could smell cigarette smoke all the way to my daughter's room on the opposite side of the house. In summary, I love the wood and tile products that I had installed, but I would NEVER use this group to install it. I called my insurance agent to let them know as well. Maybe other subcontractors for Rodenbaugh's are better, but I did not have a good experience at all. I feel like when you are in someone else's home, you are expected to act like a courteous guest, and treat them and their home with the utmost respect. I work in the Customer Service industry, and the customer should always come first. There's nothing wrong with music, but invest in a set of headphones for goodness sake and spare everyone else the noise. If you have needs for a job site that are going to be even the SLIGHTEST imposition to the customer, EXPLAIN all of that up front. Ask permission, don't just take for granted the fact that your presence is an inconvenience. With good communication and clearly explained expectations, everyone benefits. And for Pete's sake, when you break something, FIX IT. Rodenbaugh's has been in business for 50 years and doesn't have a single person around there who knows how to fix a toilet??? Wow.
Description of Work: My toilet overflowed and my floor had to be replaced in my bathroom, game room, and laundry room. Tile in the bath and laundry; wood floors in the game room.

They did a great job. I had great customer service beforehand. Somebody came out and looked physically if the job could be done or not and then they quoted it. We were quite pleased with their work. I thought that their price seemed reasonable. I actually could not find anybody else who could do the work so I had kind of had my figures crossed. They could have charged me anything but when they quoted it I was not aghast. The steps involved in what they were doing I felt the price was reasonable. If I need similar service in the future I would definitely use this company.

We found the upgraded pad and carpet we wanted at Rodenbaughs. The price seemed appropriate for the carpet and installation. The installers arrived at the time they had promised and got right to work. They moved the furniture, removed the old carpet and pad, cleaned the floor, and then installed the new pad and carpet. Afterwards, they cleaned up the area and moved the furniture back into the room. We were happy with the service, quality and timeliness. We have used this company several times before and will use them again.
Description of Work: Had the old wall-to-wall pad and carpet in the den removed and replaced with a new upgraded pad and carpet.

I am very happy with them. I have been using them for 16-17 years. The last time I used them, they did work for free because the washer was under warranty. I would continue to use them in the future. They are very interested in getting my problems resolved or meeting my purchase needs. They do not care about how much I have spent. They just want me to be happy with what I have purchased. They are never pressuring; they will show me all their stock. I like them; they are a really good business. They are really a great company. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Rodenbaugh’s Flooring America & Appliances, four months ago. They replaced the part in the washer. In the past, I bought 11 appliances for my rental property from them. I also got a washer and dryer from them for my daughter, a year ago. Even she has purchased appliances from them.
