Description of Work: Phillips did just as they were SUPPOSED to do and did it in a timely manner! Prepping, washing, and caulking took place one day and painting the next, they used the paint and stain we wanted without argument. Phone call messages were returned promptly and they cleaned up afterwords with no nagging! Yes, I would use these folks again!

I AM SORRY THAT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH OUR COMPANY DID NOT MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS. OUR RECORDS DO SHOW THAT WE SPOKE WITH YOU ON JUNE 30, 2008 ABOUT 3:30PM AND THAT YOU STATED THAT YOU DID NOT WANT THE ESTIMATE/QUOTE BUT JUST WANTED THE WORK DONE. WE INDICATED THAT WE ALWAYS DO AN EVALUATION AND PROVIDE A WRITTEN QUOTE FOR THE FIRST APPOINTMENT. WE DO NOT JUST SHOW UP AND DO WORK WITHOUT PREVIOUSLY PROVIDING A QUOTE. WHEN YOU SAID YOU DID NOT WANT THE QUOTE, YOU WERE TAKEN OFF THE SCHEDULE. I AM SORRY THAT THERE WAS A MISUNDERSTANDING REGARDING THIS.

Description of Work: I hired Phillips Painting to paint the exterior of our house. This is a large Victorian house with much detail and some very steep roof slopes on the 2nd level. Phillips crew showed up on time each day as planned, cleaned up everything each day. They replaced several pieces of siding that had rotted and did some carpentry work to repair some areas. Carlos was their lead painter/carpenter and he did a great job of fixing everything I pointed out to him. All of the crew was very courteous and they worked very hard for 3 straight days to complete the job. Overall they were the best painters I have ever contracted with and I have contracted with several. They also took care not to damage any landscaping and carefully prepared all surfaces by power washing and masking off windows and doors in advance. I would definitely hire them again and would request Carlos as the team leader.
