Josh Like and his crew led by Victor did a great job. They were professional, punctual and all around nice guys. This was the best experience I have ever had with a painting company. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and will use them without question in the future.

When we decided to have Phillips do our gutters, we told Brad that we wanted it done in the beginning of June. Then I received a message saying it was scheduled for the next day May 29. I called the office and left a message and called Brad's cell. He called back and said it was now scheduled for June 12. About a week later I have two new messages, one on my home phone and one on my cell wanting to know if I am pleased with my new gutters. What??? I called Brad. He looks on his computer and tells me that the problem is there are two separate programs that things are kept on so that caused the confusion. He assures me that they will come on the 12th. Today the 12th, no one shows. I called the office. Jessica is flummoxed and finally finds me in the system but her schedule shows the 17th with a note about today as tentative. Seriously, if you can't get the scheduling correct how can I have confidence that you'll do the work correctly? I cancelled it all and will take my business elsewhere.

Due to weather conditions painting was delayed several times. However, when the painting was done, gnats covered the paint and had to be removed. The guttering was installed after the painting was done. However, the guttering over the patio is coming lose and not doing the job of draining the water properly from the roof. I have called the salesman and sent emails. An appointment was set up to do the repairs but due to rain the repair men never showed up. I have not heard from the company for a reschedule. I have again twice contacted the sales man about the situation, once again today, June 6, 2015. He says that he will try again this next week to get something scheduled. I honestly don't think they are as concerned with the quality of their workmanship and customer service as they advertise. Phillips has finally made good on repairs to the guttering they installed. On Friday, June 12, 2015 a crew of two was sent to make repairs. They were very efficient. They removed the guttering, repaired the wood backing, sealed and painted, reinstalled the guttering and cleaned up. They said they used longer screws than had previously been used. AH!!! Let's use the correct materials the first time!! I am now happy. I just hope there are no further problems with the workmanship.

I called to schedule an estimate to repair my gutter, and to paint the exterior of my house. I was told up front that the minimum bid for either of these services would be 500.00, and was asked if that would work with my budget. In my experience, the contractor provides the estimate and the homeowner decides if they accept the estimate. This contractor seems to want to decide which customers are worth his time. Not up to Angie's list standards.

Very well. Because of the weather, it was hard for them to get here to do the work because it rained almost every day. However, they worked with us and did the prep work one day and the painting a few days later when we had a dry break. The painters were very nice, professional, worked hard and did a great job! I would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors.

It could not have gone better. Could not believe how thorough the guys were. Very good job on all items mentioned above and also cleanup after each phase was great. All of this done in approx. 3 1/2 days. If you ever need paint, carpentry work or guttering do not hesitate. Thank You Tony, Angel and all the guys. Thank You Angies List as well would not have happened but for You.

Excellent. The team of six arrived promptly in the morning, and went right to work. The team leader was very responsive to my questions, and provided modifications where necessary. They completed their work in about three hours, including thorough clean-up.

It went as agreed to. Robby Phillips crew of Antonio and Jimmy were fantastic. They were committed to getting the job done properly and within a reasonable amount of time. They did all the work themselves, completing the job in four days. They even surprised us today (Sunday) when they returned to complete it. We are sincerely grateful for their performance, demeanor and excellence. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Phillips Painting to friends and neighbors.

I called a few days before the appointment to let them know that we wouldn't be home that day and time because we had an unexpected schedule conflict. I asked the secretary to have the person leave the bid in our mailbox or simply email it to us. She said that was no problem and took down my email address - also confirmed the home address, bid details (what exactly we wanted a quote on), appointment date, and time. The person who came arrived right as we were leaving, had no clue what we wanted a bid on, and even after we explained what we wanted he only gave us a bid on half the house (sides, not all the way around as requested). We could see all the notes the secretary had sent him -- very detailed. He just never took time to actually read them. He appeared very irritated that we were leaving. Again, he didn't take time to read the notes the secretary had sent him. Wrote down the email address incorrectly, and in the end the quote for gutters on half the house was literally double bids received from other gutter companies we had come out.

Could not have had a better experience. We worked with Miles from Phillips and he was incredibly responsive and helpful from the day we got our quote from them. He was always available via phone and email and answered all our questions. He was very patient with us while we decided on colors too! Their work looks amazing and it's like we have a brand new house. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

He was just super thorough moving around the house looking for cracks and holes and what needs to be replaced and caulked. His communication, customer service and demeanor were all wonderful.

They are by far the most professional contractor we have ever dealt with and this was the most pleasant repair we've ever experienced. They stayed in constant contact through the process. Their estimator, installer and painter were all courteous and professional. The work looks great...seamless with the existing gutter. (P.S. Not sure what Band of Neighbors is...that's the only reason I'm not sharing on that platform.)

Contracted to have the exterior of my home and utility building painted in 2 colors on 2/4/15. It included a lot of wood replacement and was expensive but I figured that getting the best was worth it. Hey ? how often do you paint your house? A crew of 5 arrived the first day (Wednesday) and did what I thought was an exceptional job of prepping; I was ready to write a glowing review for Angie?s List! Only later did I see lines of white caulk between my dark green trim and my brick. Really? It was later slopped over with paint but still looks tacky. Should have used a ?dries clear? caulk. By the way, they DID clean up after that first day. Fortunately, I decided to police my driveway. Found a nail, a screw, and two bottle caps ? flat tire waiting to happen. An oil leak stain is now where they parked their van. There was also a jacket draped over one of my shrubs for 2 days. They arrived again on Friday (bad weather on Thursday) to paint. Unfortunately, they opted to paint my gutters and garage door the dark green trim color despite the fact that 1. Those boxes were NOT checked on my contract (?that?s what we usually do?) and 2. I had specifically asked my sales rep to have them check with me re what color to paint what parts of the house. According to my sales rep the cost is the same whether the gutters and garage door are painted or not, so no joy there. My only option was to repaint what I hadn?t wanted painted in the first place, either in the base color of my house or in a third color of my choice. Because I just wanted it to be over, I had them use the tan house base color with the stipulation that, if I don?t like it, they?ll change it to whatever I choose. The first day of painting ended FINALLY. They would return the next day to finish and do a LOT of touch up and cleaning. Was left a second oil leak on my driveway. The next day (Saturday) touchup and cleanup issues were addressed hurriedly; I think they were in a hurry to leave. We shook hands and they left me with a few keepsakes ? a third oil stain, 2 nails, and a bottle cap. Later that afternoon, my sales rep (Brad) arrived. We did a walk around and he found some problem areas that I hadn?t and wrote them in his notebook; says he?ll be back on Thursday with the crew leader, Evaristo, to take care of them (including the oil stains). He was with me when I policed the driveway and was very unhappy about the nails and bottle cap. I was just going to toss them like I did the others but he wanted them - Brad said not to fix anything myself but to find everything I could that needed addressing for when he and Evaristo come on Thursday. I kept looking and finding things, taking pictures as I went; marked everything I could reach with blue painters? tape (which included the paint-over of the lock on my utility building - again, tacky). Thursday came as did Brad; no Evaristo. Evidently he was doing something ?important?. Brad promised that they would both be here on Friday. They arrived. Brad left and Evaristo started working after I told him to ask me if he had any questions. A while later he rang the bell and said he was done and ?Bye?. I said to wait while I checked everything against the pictures I took; when I was satisfied with an item, I would delete the pictures. Good thing. Six pictures left ? if he had asked me, he would have known. He appeared annoyed ? wanted to get going, I think. Argued with me on a couple of things but I wouldn?t back down. (Before the job began, Brad assured me that Evaristo spoke English. Yeah, well ?I think maybe he speaks it better than he understands it.) Finally, he ?finished?. Perfect? Heavens, no. But I was done and just wanted it to be over. Overall, it was not a good experience. UPDATE: Was contacted immediately by Phillips. Someone came out and fixed the outstanding issues to my satisfaction.

The crew of two men arrived on time all three days. They were receptive to my concerns as they completed the cleaning and caulking. The painting took only two days, which is excellent given the fact that my house is very tall and included four different colors. There was no paint spatters on my bushes or anywhere that I noticed.

They did an excellent job painting the interior of the garage and then on the outside replacing some wood and paintings of the house.

They were very good. Punctual. They came in and matched the gutters to the paint. They did an outstanding job. I wasn’t sure about it, and they came in and did everything right. The price was good. I'm really happy with them. I would use them again. With regard to the cleanup, everything was fine. I couldn’t even tell that they came. They just came and did it. When I got back home, it was all done. I had a really good experience with them. I probably would be using them again.

I contacted several Angieslist-rated painting companies to solicited bids on painting the exterior of my home and repairing or replacing my gutters. Phillips Painting and Gutters was one of the companies contacted. I had used Phillips in the past to do the same exterior work and was most pleased with the work. I made an appointment for a representative to come out and assess what needed to be done and provide a quote. Robby Phillips was assigned and showed up right on time. Robby did a great job of assessing what needed to be done and offering me some alternatives which he priced out. The cost estimates were most exacting which I greatly appreciated. To get Phillip's standard 3-year warranty I would have to go with the most expensive alternative which involved the replacement of a lot of wood. Admittedly the fascia and soffits were in bad shape and could warrant replacing but I was not ready to go that direction and felt that a lot of scraping and priming would provide an adequate job. I opted not to go this route. The alternative of just scraping, priming and painting the exterior which was my preferred choice was also expensive compared to other bids I received. Similarly, the bid to replace the gutters (which was Robby's recommendation) was also higher than other bids I received so I did not choose Phillips for this work either. I am still convinced that Phillips would do a top notch job on exterior painting or gutter work but it comes with a significant cost. There are other alternatives that do just as good of work at a lower cost.

They were nice and left me samples. They were a little bit expensive but I thought they did better work. We talked about options and they knew what they are talking about. They made some recommendations that I liked. They showed up clean and professional. They had a descent look. I would say that they would definitely be on the running through to be used and I don't have a problem with them. They did a good job when they came out to give me a quote and looked at the house.

We had some wood rot on the outside of a bathroom window and the inside sill had some water damage. All the wood was replaced and repainted inside and out.. We also had roof rat holes on four soffets on our second story roof line. These were replaced, caulked and repainted. All the work was fast and efficient and looks amazing. I couldn't have asked for anything more. The estimator and all the work crew were neat, polite and very hard workers. The work was completed a day ahead of schedule. Thanks for a job well done!

First Miles came out to the house very quickly after the first contact. Within the timeframe he said, he provided me with an estimate. After comparing three different estimates, I decided to go with Phillips Painting. All three estimates were neck and neck close within a few hundred dollars of each other. We scheduled the work at the time I had wanted since I was on vacation that week. It was about 1 1/2 weeks after the estimate was given. They were to start on a Monday - but due to rain the previous week, they were delayed until Wednesday. They came out Wednesday with a crew and immediately went to work. No goofing off -- all very professional, worked hard the entire time they were there. Each evening prior to leaving, they cleaned up the yard. They completed all the work on Saturday. On Sunday during daylight, I found a few minor issues, two had already been pointed out to the crew leader and he was going to come back the following week during the daylight hours and fix. I found a couple more minor things and Miles came out and looked and made sure that the crew came back out and took care of these. They were there the following Saturday and fixed all the issues. Unlike some, I don't expect perfection on such a large job. So finding minor things did not bother me. The thing that I look at is how quickly they resolve the issues. They were out that following Saturday when I was home, fixed the issues and the house and fence look absolutely wonderful. I would definitely recommend them. The crew was very professional, courteous and did a beautiful job.

install took a while to schedule but when they came out the worked fast and installed a quality product i am happy with. We have two separate buildings that needed gutters and i forgot that the paint was different when ordering the color gutters. ON day of install i noticed my mistake and with one phone call they brought out a different color gutter for the second building. could of easily blamed the mistake on me and went about a change order and increase in price but they did the profesional thing and corrected it without any hassle.

From the first meeting with Dave and estimate the process was great. He was involved the entire time. The crew were on time, cleaned as they went , and if I noticed something addressed it , immediately.

From the beginning, I felt it was a bad job. They said we had a 3year warranty on the work and did come back out once when I called but he said the problem was with the roofing people and not with the paint (even though they did both the roofing and the paint). They made a mess and left it for somebody else to clean up. Update 9/30/14: Since posting this review, they have come back to fix the work. They cleaned up everything, including things they weren't even obligated to clean. They sent the A team and they did a good job.
