Salesman, Jake Dreyer was great. They are a fabulous company to work with. Not necessarily the cheapest but worth every penny for the great quality work they performed. Their crew foreman, Edgar was an exceptional craftsman. Did fabulous work and had great attention to detail. Make sure they hand paint front door if you hire them. They had to return to repaint. Carpentry work was amazing and they were recently re-hired to repair damage done when HVAC installers fell through our ceiling.

I had contacted Phillips for estimates and after receiving estimates from several contractors choose Phillips because of their overall reputation. Their prices was not the least expensive and it was not the most expensive. . The crew removed a number of pieces of wood siding and facia board and replaces with James Hardie siding and painted the exterior of the residence. The work looked fantastic when completed. I was very happy with the quality of the work performed. The salesman had made some suggestions for exterior colors. We decided on two of the colors that he had recommended and are EXTREMELY happy with the result. My reasons for giving a "B" on punctuality are: on the day that the work was scheduled to begin, the crew was quite late in arriving. I contacted their office several times and each time was told that "everyone was in a meeting, but someone will call you back." No one ever called. The crew did finally arrive around 11:00 a.m. and began work. After all work was completed, I was told that they would return the following day to pick up the excess materials (some miscellaneous pieces of new wood, etc.) No one arrived that day, or the following day. On the third day, I contacted the office and asked that they remove the materials. Someone did arrive within a couple of hours to remove the materials. Again, I am very happy with the work, but believe that customer communication could be a bit better.

The salesman provided a prompt, thorough quote detailing exactly what was to be done. Work began on schedule and was completed over a 4 day period. Good workmanship and extra effort to match the existing paint. The cleanup was thorough for the large debris items however I would have appreciated a more thorough cleanup of the smaller debris, smaller shards and chunks of the old boards, strips of old caulk, etc. No effort was made to pick up this smaller debris nor to sweep off the porch and patio. Took about an hour of my time to finish cleaning up this smaller stuff. I feel like the price of the work was on the high side but the job was done promptly which was an important consideration for me and I agreed to it. Based on my experience I would use them again but would get competitive quotes before hiring them.

The folks from Phillips were professional and courteous. They performed the work on a timely basis. The appearance is great, and we have had no problems with the work.

We had no problems and work was done as described in the proposal. I am pleased with the results.

Phillips replaced rotten wood and siding, including decorative beams, caulked all seams, and painted the entire exterior. Their work was very complete, very professional, and I would use them again without hesitation. However, because they did such a good job, I don't expect to have to for at least 5 years.

Jeff was very knowledgeable, professional, and informative. I am also considering other work that would not be done by Phillips. I asked Jeff for his opinion about the vendors and products I was considering. His advice was objective, and it has helped me make a decision on that project. I emailed Phillips to come out and give us a quote on new gutters. I had already had 1 company out but was having a hard time getting responses from them, so I was very pleased when Phillips promptly replied to my email and called to schedule a time to come out. Dave came and was a pleasure to deal with, I had a quote before he left. One thing that really amazed me was they did not ask for any money to place the order. They installed the gutters while I was out last Tuesday and they look fantastic! I thought for sure they would call to get the payment that afternoon, but instead I had a message the next day making sure we were happy with everything. They made sure we were totally satisfied before even asking about payment...so refreshing! Thank you, THANK YOU Dave & Phillips Gutters!

They did a phenomenal job. I even referred them to my neighbor and he painted their house as well.

We we extremely pleased with the responsiveness and knowledge of the Sales Rep, Mr. Humphreys, and very happy with the crew of workers. They were fast, friendly, professional and did excellent work. We are really happy with the overall results. Would definately use them again. We had four estimates and while Phillips was not the least expensive it was in the ballpark and the quality of the materials they used was well worth the extra expense.

Was tremendously please with everyone involved. The representative who provided the estimate was outstanding - punctual, helpful; in guiding me and providing me with options. The appointment date was kept; the work crew arrived and they too were great. They were quick, professional, cleaned after themselves and even did some things that I didn't expect of them. It was a great experience. I would recommend this company for their professionalism and outstanding work to all.

The wood on the exterior of the house was in bad shape due to our letting it go too long since the last time it was painted. It needed quite a bit of prep work. I got a reminder call the day before David came out to provide an estimate and he arrived on time. Although Phillips was not my lowest bid, the bid was very detailed, listing each individual board to be replaced. David noted places that were rotting that another contractor failed to notice or point out. I was also impressed that the quote specifically stated: reseal complete seams, joints, cracks and windows (*we do not spot caulk*) and protecting the landscape. David also quoted new gutters (not included in this review and quote as it was quoted and installed separately). Included in the initial bid was a estimate for lead safe practices ($1918) which David explained was legally necessary unless I could prove there was no lead in the paint (since my house was built before 1968). He provided the name of a lead tester and the bid included a $250 Angie's List coupon, a $100 discount in lieu of an interior room (another advertised special that I hadn't heard about) and a $150 discount as a reimbursement for the lead testing. I had the testing done and was legally lead-free. We called David back and scheduled the work. He gave me an approximate date about 2 weeks out and said I would be contacted ahead of time. I was called a week later to say the date was set for end of the following week. I was also called the day before work started and again in the morning to tell me the name of the crew supervisor. The work was done quickly, professionally and extremely well. They used a lot of caulk. Phillips sprays on paint and then touches by hand where necessary (e.q. doors) or where extra paint is needed. They used wide paper tape to mask the brick and plastic to cover bushes and windows. There was no overspray anywhere. It was a very clean, very professional job. My husband and I were thrilled with the results and my neighbors have raved about how good the house looks. David came out while the carpentry was being done and I asked him if I could have the gingerbread trim on the front roof gables replaced with straight boards because the decorative edge was too dated. This was the only additional charge on top of the initial quote and we agreed before the work was done. I walked around with the crew supervisor after the work was completed. The work and the clean up was impeccable. I was very happy. Several days later, David came back out to walk around and inspect the work and make sure I was happy.

I called Phillips to get an estimate for hole house exterior painting and new gutters. David came out at the scheduled time and provided two separate estimates for the painting and the gutters. (I submitted the painting review separately since it was done my a different crew). David's estimate diagrammed the house to show where gutters and downspouts would be installed. The estimate was $1447 plus $483 for gutters screens or $1062 for leaf relief. He has pictures and samples. We decided on leaf relief. These are plates with wholes made to fit into the gutter lips to make a cover. I thought the price was a little high for the leaf relief but we never have to clean our gutters again. The gutter appointment was for a week after the house was painted. Again I got a call the day before. The crew came out, knocked on my door, showed me the color and verified that it was correct before starting. They installed it in less than a day and cleaned up after themselves. The gutters look great. The downspouts are much wider than the standard downspouts we had previously (from Home Depot).

When we did the job with a different company, we found some shortcuts Phillips had used the first time they painted.

After spending 3 hours with the salesman to get quotes we accepted the offer. Phillips was considerably higher than the other 2 quotes we recieved. We decided to use them based on references. The first day on the job the salesman called to say one of the 3 bedrooms was not included on the quote for removing the ceiling popcorn. He wanted to an additional $350 to correct his mistake. He was very unprofessional and demanding. The converstation ended when he told me is way my responsibility to review the quote to catch his mistakes. This was after spending 3 hours to detail all the work that needed to be done. At this point we discovered nothing would be done if it was not in the quote. This resulted in small items not being fixed such as wall dents, etc. I believe the situation became very uncomfortable for the crew working on site because the salesman was a "JERK". The quality of their work is good but for the price it should be much better! Update : I spoke with Randy Stump about the job and work performed. He agreed the job was not handled well by the salesman or the company after I ask for the saleman to be removed from the job. In regard to the quote the salesman failed to specify the payment terms thus leaving the quote incomplete. The items that were not done were items that typically would not be in a quote but would be done as part of doing a good job. Randy agreed with the items I described as part of the job that should have been done without being specified in the quote. It is unfortunate that I did not speak to Randy earlier in the process because most of the issues could have been avoided. Randy agreed to remove $545 from the total based on the difficulties I encountered. I would like to make it clear the work done was above average on the inside and very good on the exterior. I have changed my overall rating to a "C"

It did not sound like it was going to go well when the gentleman providing the estimate did not even bother to read the details of my estimate request before he called me. I was requesting an estimate for a complete exterior painting job and a complete gutter replacement job. I made mention that I wanted to make sure that they installed splash guards over the AC units. His response was "we have a minimum of $450 so we would not be able to do your job if all you want are splash guards". Had he read the request before he called, then he would have already known what I was referring to. My job was going to be closer to $3000-$4000. Once I explained and asked him to read the request... he provided me with a very professional looking package and folder with all the needed information. The folder presentation was by far the most complete and detailed of all the companies I received a bid from. The problem... his bid was literally between 75% and 140% higher than the other bids. That is a big difference. All contractors were highly rated on Angies list. So I dug deeper to see if we were comparing apples to apples and from a laymans point of view, and in discussions with the other contractors apparently we were. I contacted Phillips estimater again to discuss the price and ask why it was so high. Evidentally I have to assume that they did not want or need my business. His only response was that they were better, used better materials, etc. He did not attempt to negotiate for the business at all. Since I was dealing with one of their employees, I cannot say if he was a fair representation of the company in general. I wanted the job done right and was not basing my decision 100% on the price. But the enormous price difference and the seeming indifference as to whether they got my business or not... caused me to do business with someone else. So since the other contractors had basically an equivilent rating on Angies... I chose one of them... and I am totally pleased with the work that was performed by the other company. No... they did not provide a fancy folder with their bid... but they showed up when they said they wold and completed the job in a professional and quality manner. So before you automatically buy into the slick professional folder presentation they provide to you... shop around. You may still choose to go with Phillips... I almost did myself. Just be an informed customer. Did I get the exact same quality product/gutters/paint that Phillips uses? I do not know. But I am quite pleased with the quality of the materials and service. Even though the guy providing the estimate may not think so... there are many other options.

Perfection as usual! Gustavo is an artist. The way Phillips cares for your home while they are there is invaluable. They do great work and are punctual, careful and honest. This is the 5th time I have worked with Phillips and each time is a fantastic experience.

Overall good work, but color was off from what I desired but it was the color I chose.

The experience was fine. We would recommend them.

Their price was great.They matched the existing color perfectly.They performed the work quickly and professionally.I had no complaints.They communicated well with me about the quote and the progress of the work being done.The painters pointed out some shutters that needed work, and pulled them down for me, since they weren't part of the scope of the job to be done, and I was willing to paint them myself.They sold me extra gallons of matching paint so that I could finish some other downstairs areas on my own after I had completed some other repairs.

..It went great. We were fortunate to get Robert Guerrero as the crew chief and his guy's. They take pride in there work and Robert made some excellent suggestions, which we followed.

Brad arrived on time, very friendly, and professional. Provided a thorough estimate, along with samples and a folder to hold all the information to make a decision.

Phillips roofing have a staff of professionals that ae a pleasure to work with. When I asked for a quote, which some companies seem to think is unnecessary, they sent out a representative that walked me through the costs, included the upgrades I had requested and explained the insurance filing process to me. Having never filed a roof claim before this was most helpful.They sent out a crew that arrived ontime and ready to work. Even when some unexpected challenges were encountered, they reviewed them with me and continued working. They finished the work in one day and performed a thorough cleanup that included taking a high strength magnet over the entire property to pick up errant nails. I would definitely use them again. I was looking at hiring them to do some painting when I realized I had never done the review on the roofing!

They were very efficient and professional. They showed up on time. I was happy with the outcome of the project.
