Mr Duct Cleaner

After little luck in finding anyone I knew to give me a good recommendation on air duct cleaning companies, I joined Angie's list. I am glad I did. I already saved my subscription fee (and then some) when I received a discount on the dryer vent cleaning service. I kind of figured all of those mailings I get in the coupon books advertising $59 air duct cleaning jobs were bait and switch setups so I stayed away from those companies. When I found this company on Angie's list, I was sold on giving them a call when I read all of the great reviews from other members. Not only was the price competitive, but their customer service was rated top notch and rightfully so. I am still one that puts customer service over saving a buck. With this company, I got both! The job was done in a little less than two hours and no mess was left behind. My ducts looked great and I could already smell the fresh clean air coming in. Great owner, great employees. All around a fantastic experience. I highly recommend this company!

Les noticed that our dryer vent was clogged when performing our energy audit. Les got his ladder out, got up on the roof, and unclogged it for us (it had about 4 inches of solid dryer nastiness). He barely charged me for doing that. Fantastic guy, and I would highly recommend.

Les and Jason are FABULOUS! They arrived on time, explained in detail about what exactly they would do with the air duct cleaning and dryer vent service. They were professional & extremely courteous. I'm so sorry, but I've forgotten the names - meant to write a review right away and forgot. I'm now getting new AC/Heating units, so I remembered I hadn't done this review - - and I want to let everyone know how outstanding this team is. The owner did the evaluation. He was here quite awhile checking areas, counting vents, looking in the attic, etc. The quote was very detailed on the work that would be done. His team was running about 15 minutes late, but they called to tell me ahead of time that they would be running late and they were very apologetic. When they arrived, the two young men were very courteous and professional. I must admit, they looked so young I was worried about the quality of work they would do. But they went straight to work and they didn't stop until everything was complete. They walked me around the house to look at the vents, brought some of the stuff down from the attic so that I could inspect. They also had recommended that we change the type of filters we were using in the units (didn't try to sell me some...suggested that I get them at lowe's) so I got some later and they put them in for me. They had forgotten to open the vent in one of the vents in a room with a very high ceiling, so he came back out the next day and opened it for us. I had gotten another estimate from a company that I received a flyer/coupon from in my valpak. It turned out that it was just a way to get in the door. The only thing they cleaned for the $49 was the return vents and 10 supply vents. Their estimate to clean the ducts was over $2000. I would definitely recommend North Texas Duct cleaning to friends and family.

We just purchased a new/used home. The previous owners had cats. The wife is highly allergic to cats. We were already having all the flooring replaced and figured we needed to have all the ducts cleaned as well. Found North Texas Duct Cleaning on Angie's List and after reading other reviews gave them a call. They were very polite and responsive to all our questions. After spending quite a bit of time discussing our situation with them, we set up a date and time for the service to be performed. Les and his crew arrived on time, dressed nicely, cleanly, and professionally. After brief introductions they began their work. They were terrific. They covered anything that could be contaminated, with plastic sheeting, and went right to it! They completed their job ahead of schedule and by the time they left, you couldn't even tell they had been here, except for the cleaner smelling air coming from our A/C ducts. We will definately call them again when we need additional services.

Les (the owner) came out to our house to look at our systems and count the supply ducts/returns. He took a photograph of a small break in one of the seals in the furnace upstairs. He said that it was minor and that his guys could repair it the day of their visit. Otherwise, he said everything looked good. Why we chose North Texas Duct Cleaning: NTDC was the ONLY company to come out. One company was more focused on telling me about their energy audit (that is not the service I called about) and the other informed me that they didn't need to come out they could just tell how much they charge (he tone indicated my call was a bother). Both companies did not provide the detailed service for which we were looking at (although maybe they did but were too quick to sell me on their cheap deals to make it sound like a good deal). What's the point of having my ducts cleaned if you are not going to clean my plenums and coils? I also found that the other companies had a set price but would nickle and dime you over each additional vent/return, dry vent, plenums, sanitization, etc. My guess is prices would have been similar if they provided the same thorough service. Service experience: after completing some messy projects around the house (popcorn removal, new carpet) we contacted Les to schedule his company to come out and provide the above-noted service (the bunny removal was not in our original agreement but was offered the day of the job :-) ). Two men: Josh and Jason arrived shortly before 9 a.m. to start work. They walked through the house (with their little booties) and then brought the equipment in to get started. I asked if Les had mentioned the small break in the seal and replacing the air filters. Les had shown them the photo and they were aware of replacing the filters. They went from duct to duct, then the furnaces, ending with the dryer vent (dirty!). They reported on what they saw. I asked how often I should have the service performed. Josh asked how often I used the dryer and if we had pets or burned candles in the house. For the dryer he said that once a year was recommended (makes sense) and that the complete system every 4-5 years. They cleaned up after themselves. However, some additional dusting/cleaning/vacuuming was required of me. This was expected since they were removing yuck from my ducts. They are not Merry Maids, so I didn't expect a perfectly cleaned house. They did not leave a mess however. The entire job took 5 hours. Personalities of all three were great. They were also professional, which is always a nice balance. I have them on my calendar for next year's dry vent cleaning and will definitely use them again 4-5 years from now for the entire system.

They arrived on time and were professional from the moment they walked in the door. They explained the process and the approximate time it was going to take to complete the job. They cleaned all the ducts and returns and they cleaned all the vent covers, too. They vacuumed up all the excess debris as they moved from vent to vent. When the vents work was completed they cleaned out the dry vent. The overall experience was exactly what I would want in any service contractor. Thanks for a great job.

Les was very easy and pleasant to work with. Inquiry was responded to immediately, and they gave me 10% off for being on Angie's List, even though I was not a new customer and there was not a coupon. They went above and beyond to show me all of the "stuff" they pulled out of my vents, and installed a cage around the outdoor vents so birds cannot try to build nests again. Very excellent service - on time and very good communications. Would use again in the future for sure. Also they did not try to sell me additional services, which I appreciate!

Les showed up and did the job himself. Very professional, prompt and helpful. He explained exactly what his process entailed and executed it efficiently. I would recommend this shop.

Les and his crew arrived at the scheduled time and completely explained the work they were going to do. They were very courteous and professional. The whole job was completed in an hour and a half. The price was very reasonable and exactly as quoted up front. We could not have had a better experience.

They were great I called early in the week and they got back to me immediately and setup an appointment with me to work around my schedule. They performed the service without and issue and were great to work with. They took the time to detail all the issues or concerns that they found in my system and made sure that all of my questions were addressed. I would definitely use them again when the time comes.

The crew arrived promptly, which is always appreciated. The owner was very nice, and he actually helped me get reimbursed through my insurance company. I think he went above and beyond, and I was very pleased with my experience.

Overall, everything went well. They were prompt, neat, clean, and professional. My house was not left covered in the dust, and I thought they provided a good service.

Les and Alex arrived as scheduled and asked if we had any questions for him to answer before he started to work. Alex went to work on the air transfer system and Lex worked on the ducts, they finished in about 2.30 hours and cleaned up after themselves. They especially took extra care with the dryer vent as it had a bird nest covering the exit and with time it probably would have caused a fire since most of the lint could not get out.

Called North Texas Duct Cleaning and spoke with the owner, Les at 9:45 am on a Friday and he scheduled a technician to come to my house by 11:00 am! The technician was very polite & well groomed. He took his shoes off at the door and cleaned up after himself. Total trip took about 40 minutes & I was on my way back to work. No more risk of a lint fire! I will always use NTDC!

I spoke to the owner on my initial phone call. He was very professional and informative and answered all my questions. Gave me an estimate for cleaning the unit and all vents openings. The guys that came out to do the work were awesome! Explained everything they were doing thoroughly and gave great tips for upkeep.
