One word - great (or does that count as three?).

We used Carnival for some interior work a few years ago and were very satisfied. We were planning to use them for the exterior but another contractor went the extra mile to gain our business. Carnival was very professional and regret that I couldn't give them my business.

Steve Long came to our home to provided an estimate on August 13th, 2008. Besides the painting there was a fairly complex wood trim repair job around second story dormers that needed to be done. Steve's estimate for the trim repair was well-below that of an exterior carpenter that had bid on the project a week earlier. The Carnival crew was not able to start on the scheduled date due to three straight days of rain. They showed up on a Thursday and prepped, repaired, replaced and painted for two and half days. The quality of the workmanship was incredible. The crew leader, Brian, was friendly and genuinely interested in what we thought of the job they were doing. He even helped my wife choose a new color for our front door, something I have had little success doing on a number of occasions. Brian not only can paint but he has an incredible eye for color. After the job was finished I did my own inspection and found a lintel and part of a window that they had missed (not surprising considering the size of our home). They came over the next day and completed the work. After this experience I have decided that I will never do my own painting again. Carnival will now be doing all of our painting.

They did a fair to good job on the general, but they sprayed the porch on a very windy day, causing tons of over spray. I didn't notice until I went to clean my windows and realized it was paint, not dirt. I emailed the owner and I have heard absolutely nothing back from him.

Short story - Fast, thorough and professional. Did a great job re-painting the chimney. Long story - Received a flyer about Carnival Customer Painters and it mentioned they also had a service called 'just chimneys', which is exactly what I needed. I am about to have my roof re-done and the roofer mentioned I should have my chimney painted prior to having the roof done. I have a tall chimney and a very steep roof, so I didn't want to risk painting it myself. The workers came out and did a great job caulking and repainting the chimney (two coats). I think you may pay a bit of a premium to have just the chimney done, but they did a great job and it will allow me to (possibly) paint the rest of the house myself. The company did also give me a quote to paint the rest of the house and gave me the credit for what I had paid to get the chimney done. I need to have some other work done first, so not ready for the house painting at this point, but will certainly consider letting them do the rest too.

Met with their salesperson. They were the least expensive company but they did a horrible job. The project took longer than they imagined, so they rushed it, and it looks terrible.

I received a very prompt response to my inquiry. Clark was very professional and offered me several options and suggestions. He made the process very painless.

They had a great price and they were ridiculously professional. They did all of the prep work very well without having to be supervised by me. They made me very happy and the paint job has lasted since they did the work. The quality of the work was great.
