Mike lived up to and exceeded the glowing comments he received on Angie's List. He arrived right on time, was cordial and professional, and fixed all the problems in very short order. His work on the second house was just as great. I would highly recommend Mike and will call him in the future

We have a 3 car garage with 3 single doors that haven't be serviced since we built 11 years ago. Recently a spring broke. I remember in a previous house years ago (pre-Internet and CERTIANLY pre-Angie) I went to the yellow pages and called a number of ads. All of them wanted to do a complete overhaul on the door instead of just fixing the spring at a cost of several hundred $$. My experience this time was MUCH improved. I called Apple at 6:30pm on Thursday. Mike answered and set me as him 2nd appt. for Friday AM. He called when en route and showed up promptly. As our house cleaner was there, I didn't even bother to meet him. He assessed the door, called me with a cost of $149, and I gave him the go ahead. About an hour later, he called to say that the spring was replaced and that he had lubed and adjusted the rollers on all 3 doors, as well as replaced a couple of missing screws. The price was still $149! Gave him my credit card and that was that. He did give me some maintenance advice, which I appreciated. When I got home I was VERY pleased to find that all 3 doors were much quieter. I guess I had forgotten how quiet an overhead door could be, but mine become annoyingly noisy. Great job, great value, great vendor.

Saw good reviews and that he was in Allen where I live so I gave him a call. He was available and professional. Fair on the pricing offering his current coupon price. He tried to arrive early but couldn't reach me. It was easy experience and process from start to finish. I would recommend.

I called for service, left a message for a return call and received one in 15 minutes. Mike was there within 1 1/2 hours as he stated he would be. Called back to confirm and then again in my driveway to let me know he arrived. Very professional. Replaced the springs on my 10 year old door and lubricated all that needed to be including the other single door since he was there. Price reasonable. Total time: ~40 minutes. I will be using Apple Garage Doors again with no hesitation.

Everything went great. Mike Green came out and he was outstanding. He came on time, did a great job, and knows what he's doing. I would use them again and definitely recommend him to anyone.

Premise: -2006 built home that never had a garage door opener. -Garage door opener professionally installed in June of 2010. This morning, the garage door would open but would not close because of little resistence or some other obstruction. Suspecting something more serious, I decided to call a professional. I saw Apple Garage Door Repairs & Services on Angies List and a coupon for a tune up for $49. Mike was quick to respond and right on time. He took a look at the garage door, inspected it for about 2 min, then told me that the hinges and the spring had to be lubricated. He took a lithium grease spray can and lubed all hinges and the spring. He showed me where to spray in details. Then he wrapped up, told me that he would tune it once a year, took my payment, and left. Here is a reason why my overall experience was B and the price was D. This job was NOT worth $49. In fact, I'm disappointed if that was indeed a "tune-up". I bought a lithium grease can earlier myself and sprayed the hinges but not the spring because I wasn't sure if it was an appropriate lubricating agent for the spring. He could have easily done that job free of charge or give me a discount. But he charged me full. Not only that, I had to go out of my way to ask all the questions I could think on the spot for him to provide me some knowledge about maintaining the garage door. If I didn't say anything, he probably would have greased the spring and just left and still charged me $49. As many consumers would agree, we want to pay for the service that is worthy of the money we are paying. And consumers would expect a service professional to be ethical and use an honest judgment to determine the value of the service he/she provided and adjust accordingly. That was not the case with Mike. It was almost as if he was glad the garage door did not have any real problem and happy to make $49 easily. Therefore, even though I valued his knowledge (although I had to practically squeeze out of him) and appreciated his responsiveness and punctuality, I cannot say that my experience with him was pleasant after making a payment of $49 for a service that could have lasted no more than 5 minutes. That was just ridiculous. But given that he came all the way from Allen and he shared some good information with me, I did not attempt to ask for additional discount. UPDATE: I did not write the initial report expecting any response but any report written on Angies List is available to the service providers. Because of that, I received a check in the mail today from Apple Garage Door Repairs & Service in the amount of $49.00 along with a print out of my report. While I have no idea whether the intention and meaning of this refund is good or bad, I assumed that it was done with a good intention. This was a good gesture and showed me that Mike is a man of integrity and truly cares about the customers and how they feel. Mike is obviously proud of the fact that he is recognized on Angies List and intends to keep it that way. And for that, I apologize if my review report reflected overly negative. I appreciate Mike's good gesture and I have corrected my review accordingly but I cannot accept this refund because it would be wrong of me to receive a professional service for free by just writing a mediocre review. As I have mentioned in the original review, Mike was professional, punctual, skillful at his job, and resourceful with his knowledge. I will be using Apple Garage Door Repairs & Service again should there be a need for a service.

This is my third property that I have used this company. I am an investor and they are a permanent part of my team. Professional, reasonable, punctual. I wish I could clone their work ethic for other trades.

Called Apple on a Friday evening concerning a garage door that would not open. They came out the next morning at 9:30 a.m., replaced both springs and the door was fixed and working by 10:30. Very pleased.

I called Mike based on his Angie's List ratings and he lived up to the A grading he received in the majority of reports. He was on time, pleasant, completed the job in less than 30 minutes, and less than $50. It is nice when people provide great service these days

Mike was great to work with. He showed up right on time for our appointment. He fixed the problem I called him out for (steel cables popped off hinges) quickly and explained to me how to maintain the doors and springs while he was performing the work. During our conversation, I explained to him how the door opener had been malfunctioning. He checked it out and found that it had a faulty circuit board. He also oiled both garage doors and springs and explained how to properly maintain them, which I hadn't had explained before. Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable and didn't mind answering any question I had. I'm not ready to replace the faulty opener yet, but I will definitely call upon Mike to perform any work needed. He has definitely earned a customer with me.

We needed a new garage opener. Contacted Mike by email, he responded almost immediately (minutes). He suggested a good model we could buy our selves from Cosco. He also mentioned a better model we could buy from him. We decided the better belt driven model was not much more than the one from Cosco and since we didn't have to go get it, we went with that option. Mike agreed to meet us at noon on a Saturday. He was on time and the whole installation only took an hour. Nicely done. Included a remote keypad at no extra cost. Very happy.

Mike was really good. Overall, the job went well. I highly recommend him and he was a really great guy, very professional!

Disappointing--Spoke to Mike and he agreed to meet me the following day after 4PM. Didn't show and didn't call and I haven't heard from him since.

I called to schedule an appointment and was pleasantly surprised when Mike Green, the owner, said he was just leaving another customer's house and was only about 5 minutes from my house. He was able to come right over. He tested the workings of the door and determined the problem was the opener not the door itself or its tracks. He then adjusted the tension settings on the opener. In addition, Mike educated me about the settings and features on the garage door opener and on ways to help keep the garage doors/openers working properly with just a minimum of maintenance that I could easliy do myself. I will definitely use Apple Garage Door again, and when I do finally have to get a new garage door opener, will have Apple Garage Door install it.

Excellent in all aspects. On time and personable, through and efficient. And I like the new opener very much.

We called Apple because we just moved into a new house and the garage door is VERY loud. Even worse it's right under our baby's bedroom. He gave me several options in various price ranges AND gave me options that we could do on our own. He even recommended buying the actual garage door opener at a local retailer and just have him install it - he actually admitted he couldn't beat the retailers price. I couldn't believe it. We had him replace the rollers and will be calling him back for install of new garage door openers.

I went on Angie’s List and called them on a Saturday night and the guy showed up within a very short period of time. I was there when he was doing the job and he was excellent. The garage door just wasn’t working, and he fixed everything so that it was operational. He said that there were other things that were needed to be done. He charged about $40 which I thought was ridiculously low. I think other people would have come out and charged hundreds of dollars because I was really expecting it to be a lot more. He did a great job, and I would recommend him highly. I intend using him myself.

He was great! I went out to leave my house and couldn't open the garage door. I went right away to Angie's list and called Apple Garage. He was here within an hour. He fixed the door. The price was right. He even gave me a lesson on what to do to keep it working smoothly. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

Mike from Apple is the kind of person you hope for whenever you need service in your home of any kind. Professional, down to earth, honest, to the point and no surprises. Apple was referred to me by someone else, my choice to call them was done by cross referencing them on Angie's list. So if Angie's list did not support the referral, I would not have used Apple. Apple is great!

We have a rental duplex that had been left in poor condition by the prior tenants. The garage door would not go up and down. I had a bid from a local gargage door company for $800.00 to repair the door or $2,000.00 plus to replace it (which they recommended). I went onto Angies List, located Apple Garage Doors, called and the gentleman went out that afternoon, called me with an price of $130.00 and I told him to go ahead. We have checked the door and it works perfectly - he not only fixed it but oiled the moving parts and did anything else that was needed. We will use him again.

I left work to meet Mike at my house and he was there early waiting for me. I showed him the door and he said the door was basically good, but it needed the damage fixed. He fixed the damage in 30-45 minutes and saved me lots of money in replacing the door ($500-700). He did a tune up of my whole door system and recommended that I upgrade my gd opener from 1/3 hp to 1/2 hp. He didn't offer to do it himself, he just said to watch the store ads for a good deal. He definitely was trying to save me money.

I called and they came over the next day. Very professional and updated me on weaknesses/strengths of my garage opener. I would highly recommend their service.

I called Mike and he came out the same day to assess the problem. The garage door is a heavy double door and the motor of the garage door opener could no longer handle it. He recommended I purchase a new, more powerful opener. He suggested a good manufacturer, and even answered my purchasing questions later when I needed to make buying choices. I purchased the unit and he returned the next day to install it. He took time to make sure I understood how everything worked. He also checked the entire assembly, tightening screws, lubricating tracks, checking the springs, etc. He even helped my sync my car remote with the door. He did everything quickly and thoroughly, and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend him and his work. His price was very reasonable.
