 + -1 moreMy garage door would not close when I returned late from work. It jammed about half way down. I called Apple that night about 9 PM expecting to reach a recording. Instead, Mike answered the phone and said he would be out the first thing in the morning. He was there at 8 AM, reviewed the problem, got the parts and was finished by 10 am. I couldn't be more pleased.

 + -1 moreMike arrived on time as scheduled and within the hour after calling him. He waited on me for 45 minutes since I was stuck in traffic. Mike could have over-charged me since I was in a bind and unable to close/open the garage door. He could have tried to sell me a new door, a much more expensive option. Instead, Mike quickly and efficiently diagnosed and repaired the door. Great service at a reasonable price, you can't asked for better.

He went right to work and in no time had the door back in working order. Some years ago, he installed the garage door opener for me. He is great and I highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Tune up: Replaced garage door back on the tracts, adjusted the system getting everything back in balance and lubed all the parts.

Description of Work: Once again, Mike saved the day! Mike had installed a new garage door on our house a year or two ago and he's come out a few times since to repair problems we caused. This time, our side roller and rail was off and he came out in 30 minutes, fixed the problems, and did a fantastic job. Out of all the people who we've ever had do service at our house, Mike is THE BEST!

 + -1 moreMy garage door busted on a Friday night. Called up Mike at 9:00 PM. He said he would be in by 8:30 AM on Saturday. He arrived 8:15 AM. He had everything with hime he needed to get the job accomplished, knew exactly what he had to do, did it professionally, was very personable and courteous. By 9:00 AM we were in business. Fantastic service, no hassle price, just was a pleasure. Thank you Angies' and thank you Mike.
Description of Work: Mike was called in to fix a busted garage opener. The unit was very old and basically died. It had to be replaced.

 + -1 more7650 Called Mike on a weekend because the garage door on a duplex we own was not working. He went out to the unit immediately and fixed it. He had to make two more trips because the renter was doing something that was causing the problem. He never charged us any extra for that. This is our third time using him and we will never call anyone else. He is pleasant, prompt, never tries to push us to purchase something we don't need (which another garage door company did on our first experience with him), his prices are more than fair and he is just a really nice person.

I will be having him back in a week or so to install two new garage door openers for me since he quoted me a great price!

 + -1 moreWhen I first called Apple asking about the repair, he told me how I could fix it myself. I'm not the most mechanically inclined person, so I still had him come out for the repair. Apple showed up promptly and quickly repaired my garage door. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: My garage door has wires on each side that needed to be spooled.The wires on each side had come off of the spool and prevented the door from lowering. After that was repaired, it was discovered that I needed a bracket replaced.

Long story short there is really nothing that can be done because of the way the sun shines on the sensors at certain times during the day. Nothing is broken just kind of bad luck. He repaired our broken spring and replaced it with two springs so as to relieve the stress on the door. He was finished in half an hour! I am so pleased with this experience.

They fixed the door so that it could be closed overnight, and scheduled the repair for the following morning. They showed up ahead of schedule, to apologize for being unable to perform the service at the agreed time, but left the door sections and committed to returning within a few hours. They returned ahead of schedule, began and finished within 30 minutes. They were extremely professional, personable and their work was spot-on.

 + -1 moreThe garage door would open ok but you had to hold the button in for it to close. If you let go of the button the garage door would go back up. Mike told me to adjust the light sensors at the floor and it would solve my problem. It did.
Description of Work: I talked to Mike and he told me what the problem was over the phone. I adjusted the light sensors at the floor and it works great.

Description of Work: Went out to the garage at 10:30 on a Sunday morning to find a broken spring. Called Apple at the recommendation of an acquaintance. Michael answered the phone and was at my house in about an hour. He was polite, friendly, and professional. He offered suggestions on repair options regarding stay with a single spring on a double door as the builder had installed, or using two springs and gave me the price quotes for both. As I work in a home related field, I was already aware of the single versus double spring reasoning. He did not know that and everything he said about the options was true and accurate. I went with the double spring upgrade. He installed the new springs, made a number of minor tune up adjustments to the door for free. He also offered some suggestions on little things I could do myself to further tune things up if I wished. I was very happy with his service and will recommend him to my clients from now on for garage door repairs.

 + -1 moreA power outage required me to manually open and attempt to close the garage door, but the door did not close evenly (one side lower than the other) and a cable ended up outside the door. I couldn't budge it. I called Mike at Apple Garage Door repair and he came out the same day, assessed the problem and had it repaired quickly. He was polite and efficient and proved very capable. He even tightened some lose wires at the button that had made that feature unreliable. His price was fair; love those Angie's List discounts! I highly recommend Mike.

 + -1 moreCalled the company on a Sunday morning and although he was able to perform the repair that day we weren't available so we scheduled an appointment for first thing Monday morning. He arrived early, which was great, and suggested that we replace the 1 spring on our door with 2 which would carry the weight of the garage door more evenly. The cost was only $50 more for the second spring so we went ahead and did that. He finished the work in a half hour and afterwards provided us tips to properly maintain our garage door. Great service!

 + -1 moreWhen I first called him, I was pleasantly surprised that he was able to come out that very day. We scheuled a time and he was very prompt. He inspected our system and got the garage door to raise properly. He showed me how we needed another support on the track. He said we could wait, but that eventually, we are at risk for it going off track. He gave me an estimate of the price to buy and install a brace, and I said I would rather to go ahead and get it done. He did not have a brace with him, so we made arrangements for him to return the next morning. The next morning I went out to move my car out of the garage and into the driveway, and he was already there and almost finished with the job. He aligned the eyes and oiled all the necessary parts. I was extremely pleasead with the service and recommend him very highly.
Description of Work: I called him becaue our garage door would not go up. He conducted an inspection of the grage door opener and got it to working. He noted that our grage door was doing okay at the moment, but becauuse it did not have a grace in the final leg of the track, he felt at some time it would come off the track. He did not have the needed brace, so he made plans to come back the next day. The next morning he came back installed the support on, oiled the brackets and ensured everything was working fine.

The house is presently vacant and the garage is detached so he could get in and diagnose the problem. I mentioned that I live less than 5 minutes away and would be over to settle with him. He called me when he determined the situation to be someone locked the garage door (embarrassing) - he didn't charge me for the service call and left business cards which I will share with everyone I know that needs work on their garage door. It is so refreshing to find businesses that are helpful and honest!
Description of Work: The garage door on the rental property wouldn't open and due to the age of the house, I anticipated a major repair. It turned out to be a very minor adjustment and we were not charged.

He told me that it had to be one of two things happened with the door. He told me exactly what to do over the phone and it was fixed instantly. Mike is really great. I would recommend his services.
