I bought a coupon on AL and thought I may just try them once. I did and I will use them ONCE again. They were very professional and actually saved me money as my "usual" hanger chargers more than that. Highly recommended!!

Norm was a very nice guy and very helpful and didn't make mess.

Wayne called the night before to confirm our appointment. He arrived exactly on time the next day, surveyed the damage, and went right to work. This was a dificult job because 1) it was very high up, all work had to be done on a high ladder and 2) the damage was extensive. He had to cut and install several puzzle like odd shaped boards, flashing and paint everything. When he finished, the job was perfect and the actual bill came in just under the low side of the estimate. All and all, a very pleasant experience and a very satisfied customer.

A little back and forth on 'vision' and price. Material was a huge mark-up. I get it though. They ended up being excatctly what I wanted and Jack did a great job! I would use him again

I called Handyman Matters and they were able to come within a week. The service man was on time and completed the jobs in the time frame that he quoted. The damaged wall looked perfect when completed. It had to be scraped, dry wall fixed and then texture added. The caulking on the fireplace was a perfect match and a job that needed the extention ladder to reach the 2nd story. I am so happy with the outside patio. It had been leaking onto my outdoor furniture and had left a water stain on the wood. All that was fixed and looks great. I would call them again.

Anytime I have anything around the house I need done: putting furniture together, putting in new fans, hanging rods for curtains, installing new doors- whatever I call Handyman Matters! I love the fact that the service is always prompt and done correctly. I always get a call the night prior from the handyman to make sure he has the right of idea of what I am looking for, they are always on time and professional. This time the handyman showed up on time and was able to put together a large table, 2 chairs and a shelf. The work was great !

It was an excellant experience. The serviceman had expertise in installing grab bars, including in the type of shower I have. He had helpful ideas on placement of the bars and was extremely courteous. He came prepared with the materials he needed to anchor the bars (I had already purchased the grab bars) so he didn't have to go to the hardware store on my dime. He put drop cloths down on the flooring that he had to walk across and cleaned up after himself. Everything went great!

I had a broken pipe during the cold weather spell on Superbowl week-end 2011. The water damage was extensive. I called for an estimate and Handyman Matters send out a representative to give me a quote. I was not told until the estimator arrived that there will be a trip charge for his time to give me a quote. I felt that I was put on the spot and it was not fair to advise the customer in ADVANCE that there will be a cost associated with providing an estimate. I did not use the company's services as the quote was higher than the competitors'; I paid the $35.00 trip charge but I was not happy. I understand that with the current cost of gas and the associated time involved with driving to a customer's home may dictate a trip charge; I just wish that everything was explained clearly up front. I talked to the customer service representative who called me to collect the money and let her know of my displeasure and asked her to elevate my dissatisfaction. She said she would. This experience left me with a bad taste.

Got here on time, very personable, very professional and went right to work. I am delighted with the desk, and the curio cabinet being moved. I will definitely call Dan and Wayne again if I need them.

Better than I expected. Jason at Handyman Matters came when he said he would (actually he called and asked if he could come early which was perfect!), gave me a quote and options for saving money, and he and his partner worked hard the whole time to replace the soffit facia on my entire home and a little dry wall work inside. Jason was polite, professional, and beat the low end of his quote by busting his butt to get the job done in just one day. I'm extremely impressed and will use Handymen Matters for all my tougher home projects.

Not applicable. If you have some extensive project, this company might work out for you, but if you just need a little something done; the price is not worth it, IMHO.

Handyman Matters repaired several cracks in the drywall of our house. The repairs look great and were not noticeable after painting. There was a fair amount of overspray of compound which required cleaning after the serviceman left. I didn't notice it before he left. We also hired the company for repair of a toilet. The toilet rocked and was not well secured to the floor. Only after the other dry wall repairs were complete did the repairman inform us that he could not fix the toilet due to new plumbing laws. Unfortunately, that was the primary reason for calling them.

They called the night before to confirm. They gave me an estimate and it was the amount I paid. The repairman was very friendly and professional. I plan to ask for him again. I was very pleased with the service. It was so nice to have a quality service from a home repair service.

Would recommend this company. Due to a gutter issue, we had experienced some water damage on some exterior wood that needed to be replaced and the gutter re-aligned. We were assigned Dan from the company. Really enjoyed working with him. He was very professional, friendly, and most important, suggested several methods for us to save on charges, making the job much more efficient than us. Work time was basically in line with estimated time, although slightly higher in duration. We were pleased with the quality of the work. In addition, we took the opportunity to quiz Dan on a few other unrelated issues with our house, which he answered thoroughly and in no way tried to push us to his company or to unnecessary work. Would definitely recommend these guys and Dan in particular to other members.

The initial contact and communication with Handyman Matters was good. However, the length of time to complete the job was excessive due to the fact the first craftsman they provided did not do a very good job patching, repairing, texturing and paintng the drywall. He was also late on 2 follow-up appointments. He then quit the company in the middle of my job and a second one had to come in and complete it. The second craftsman did a much better job, however this caused my room to be out of commission for several weeks. I would consider using them again, based on the fact management of the company in the end worked with me in getting the job done right and adjusting the price (materials, time and labor) of the first craftsman.

Overall the experience was excellent. The price that I listed above is the total price for both jobs combined. They are very accommodating, friendly and explained everything in detail. We are preparing to move back into a house that we own and had lived in previously for 16 years. There are many things that the house needs by way of repair and updating. Dan walked around the house and told me all the things that he and this company can do (which is just about everything ). We can't do it all at once but as we can do things, we will be calling Handyman Matters.

Our service man showed up on time and did the requested work in an efficient manner including matching the color of the tile caulk in the kitchen perfectly with the grout color. I definitely use this company again.

I spoke with the owner of the company yesterday and told him what I wanted to have done. He gave me a time estimate which was spot on. He said that Kent would call me that evening, which he did. Kent reviewed my repair list by phone and made sure I understood the billing protocol and told me he would be at my door at 9 AM the next day. Kent arrived on time and worked fast and efficiently and finished my list ahead of schedule. He suggested that I purchase my items ahead of his arrival instead of my paying for his time to run to Lowe's for me. I trusted him to pick out the items that I needed and the prices were fair. I hate shopping at Lowe's because I get lost and wander and am never sure what is the best choice for my needs. I also thought I needed weather stripping for my front door. Kent was very honest and told me that my door was fine and the metal flashing was in good shape and I didn't need to do any repairs there. While Kent was at my house I started my next list of repairs and Kent was able to check in my attic to see if I had spare tiles for my kitchen and also tell me what kind of caulk to buy. I won't be so intimidated by Lowe's this time. Kent was not only very personable but also very professional. I felt perfectly at ease with him in my home. I am so glad to have finally found a wonderful handyman. Thank you, I am preparing for the next visit already. I got more than I expected for my money. I would recommend Kent and Handyman Matters to all of my friends. I also like the fact that they don't use subs.

Very well. Very nice and professional. Attention to detail and proud of his work. Wants to do a quality job. Good communication which was appreciated. They take the time to make sure the job is done right. This eats into the hourly rate. Some other companies might be faster, but I'm satisfied in knowing my job was done right.

They were courteous and professional. I would use them again. This was the first time I had used them. He was very cool about it and cleaned up after himself while I was away.

I called Wednesday morning and spoke to Christy. She was very professional and very helpful. She had Kent on my door step at 1:00 pm just as promised. Kent was very quick and cleaned up after himself and did a very nice job without trying to "upgrade" me. He estimated 2 hrs and that is exactly what I got charged plus materials which he purchased at Home Depot. He called from the store to ask if the price was ok before he made the purchase. Loved the service. Definitely use them again and ask for Kent.

John came out initially and gave me an estimate of the number of hours he thought it might take to complete the jobs. The final cost was based on hours work and he came in under his initial estimate. He worked quickly and did a thorough job. Always told me what he was doing and why. Will definitely use him again.

I called and scheduled with Cindy and she asked about the issue I needed resolved and gave a ballpark number on her guess of the approximate cost. Larry, the handyman called me the night before to confirm. He arrived promptly on time and went through to evaluate everything and already had ideas on how to fix stuff. He went to Home Depot to get his supplies and came back and went to work right away. He told me everything he was going to do in great detail and I apprecaited that. I have a backdoor with a door frame rotting and I showed it to him. I'm going to setup another time for him to focus on that alone since it would require him removing the frame to repair it and he had ideas on preventing the rot in the future. Overall, I am very pleased and will use them again.

I called seeking someone to re-caulk my outside windows -- The person I spoke with was prompt and professional in answering all my questions about their service offerings, their craftsmen etc. She explained their fee structure, inquired about how many windows and a few details about what I needed she estimated the time needed and we set up an appointment. The craftsman called the evening before left me a vmail confirming the appointment including the time. On the day of the appointment the craftsman called to advise that he was ahead of schedule and asked permission to come to my house early. Upon arrival, he introduced himself provided me with a Handyman Matters brochure (he was out of business cards) and proceeded to walk with me around my home to review the work I was requesting (he took notes and listened very attentively). It was just window caulking and checking to see if my gutters needed to be cleaned --but I was appreciative that he was obviously taking this as seriously as a much larger and complex job. We completed the review -- and he went off to work. Upon completion we did another walk around and he showed me what he had done and not done and why. (He hadn't done what wasn't needed - what a concept! ) I wrote him a check based on the invoice provided --he only charged me for the time he was here which turned out to be less than origianally estimated by their office. Very fair, reasonable, professional and skilled for a job I didn't feel I could or should do myself. OH and they called me after the completion of the work to check to see how everything went! They definitely understand Customer Service and Satisfacton - I really appreciate that too! I will definitely use Handyman Matters again!
