Threshold install was very well done and professional. There was a slight mix up where i wasn't available and my father payed the contractor without ensuring the door completely sealed. I called the owner, he fully understood, sent the technician back out to correct the issue without additional cost. Overall great experience, accurate quote and good customer service. I gave a B grade in quality because i believe the technician should have sealed the door initially, the entire job was about sealing the door so leaving without that complete, even without me there to say so was a miss in my opinion. This very easily could have been an A, and i will likely hire them again.

Very responsive. Called on Wednesday and got a friday appointment. Called the night before to let me know who was coming and when. The arrived a bit early and did the job quickly. This is how a service company should be run!

When i called Handyman Matters the call was returned within 24 hours. Then i was able to email pics etc. of the project. The handyman James was aweswome. He was very professional and did a great job in a timely matter. They did not go over the estimated cost agreed upon, but it did seem expensive for type of work completed.

Jack (the handman) called the night before to confirm the appointment the following morning, and showed up promptly at 9am when scheduled. He was professional, efficient and did a great job. He installed the door and sealed all sides, inside and out, with caulking. He did all the work on the back porch and cleaned up all debris. This week we got rain for the first time since installation and the door did not leak at all, which was a big concern of ours. I attribute this to both the quality of the Hale door and the quality of the installation. I was told when making the appt. that the pet door installations are a flat price of $160 with a $45 trip charge - not sure why they just don't quote a flat price of $205. (I got a 5% Angie's List discount to bring the total to $197). It took Jack about an hour and a half to install the door, which works out to $135+/hour. Other quotes I got were for less (around $150 total), but those companies didn't rate as well so we decided to pay the extra for the peace of mind. Overall I think the price was high for the time it took to complete the work, but the job was done well and I would definitely hire Handyman Matters again.

I continue to have excellent experiences with this company. I contacted them to work on the door to my backyard that had damage to the doorframe and door. The individual who came out to my house was very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. He repaired the doorframe and replaced the door including painting to match the colors. The estimate was spot-on and very professionally done. I will continue to use this company for any needs that I have. Thanks guys!

We have a set of pull down stairs in our hall way that allow us access to the attic. The mechanism was kind of broken so we ordered replacement stairs and needed someone to install it as well as make the area tight so our air and heat didn't leak through the stairs. We also had a fan/light/heater combo that needed to be installed in the guest bath.The work was done on time and they did a great job. The gentleman that came was kind and clean and efficient.

The service man knew what he was doing. Performed the job quickly with high quality. He left the speciality blades and hardware with me at the completion of the job. The bid provided was an initial charge for the first hour and then an hourly charge. The contractor would not provide a fixed price but estimated that the job would only take a couple of hours. I had emailed pictures of the area to be worked before they provided a guess of the time it would take. The job was completed in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The guy was very good. He did the job quickly. The price was great. I don't have any complaints.

He did great work. The dog had chewed the wood surround on the fireplace. It actually looks better than it did before. It was a brown color before, but he repaired it and painted it white. I could not even tell that the dog had chewed it.

I am satisfied overall with the work done by Handyman Matters of Collin County.

His quote was little high so I did not end up using him. He was fine. It was very professional stuff, it’s just that his shower quote was reasonable but his tile and floor quote was more expensive than others and put him over the other bids that I received. The overall experience was fine. I guess everybody has to make a living but his price was a little more than I wanted to pay. I did and he did not have anybody in that area who could do anything so did not get the bid the second time.

This is an update to my report of December 16. After posting that report, I promptly received a call from Andy Bush, the owner of the company. He was very professional and apologized for the actions and miscommunications that had occurred previously and for which he had been unaware. He arranged for another handyman to complete the open items. Jack came by early in the week to inspect the items to be completed and arranged to finish the work on Friday, January 6. He contacted me the night before (at a reasonable hour) to confirm the appointment. He showed up on time, completed all the work in an excellent and professional manner, and was a pleasure to deal with. The responsiveness to my complaint and desire to rectify what happened proved to me that my experience was an aberration and I will definitely use this company again.

They are always honest. They are the best. The former owner of our home and done some repairs on our roof that weren't very safe and secure. It ended up being too big of a job for Handyman Matters so we used another company, but they were still great to work with. We'd use them again.

We were happy with the work and we plan to use them again in the near future for another project. They are awesome and very experienced. They followed up with me a week later for my feedback and to make sure I was satisfied with the work.

I had a wonderful experience with this company. I had a pipe burst last year and I finally got around to getting it patched up. They patched up a hole on the wall and the ceiling that the plumbing guys cut to repair the pipe. The scheduling of the appointment was very simple and they requested the approximate dimensions to ensure they had the proper material when arriving. The technician was very polite and professional. He did a very thorough job to patch up the two holes and cleaned the area before he left. The phone estimate was right on the money. The technician reviewed the work to be done and indicated there should be no change to the estimate. I would definitely recommend this company and I plan to use them again for larger jobs in the future.

I have a lot to say about this company. I recently bought my first home and purposefully had the builder leave off knobs on my upgraded cabinets because I wanted to choose my own. I hired Handyman Matters to put my new drawer pulls on. They sent a Handyman out who installed the kitchen pulls just fine. When it came to my master bathroom, guest bathroom, and one drawer in the kitchen everything went south after that. The kitchen drawer was off by 1 inch and I was able to tell by just glancing at it. He mistakenly measured the holes wrong for the master bathroom and guest bathroom and thus drilled the holes wrong on 6 cabinet doors. After drilling the holes and realizing his mistake, he tried to cover up his mistake or fix the problem by coloring the holes with permanent marker so that it wasn't as noticeable! After realizing that the mistake was probably too big to fix, he then came and got me to look at the mistake and said he could fix it if he went out and bought the bigger pulls for the bathrooms. I told him that i wanted the size that I picked out for a specific reason. I could not believe that there was permanent marker on my cabinets that I spent EXTRA money on to get the better ones. I called management and told them they were replacing EVERYTHING. There is NO WAY I was going to have misplaced drilled holes covered up by permanent marker in my BRAND NEW HOUSE. Tim, someone on the corporate side, was very helpful. I did not meet any resistance in getting new cabinet doors ordered. I told him that I wasn't paying for the hour that the handy man took to fix his mistake, the cabinets, or the cost to have someone come in and replace and install the doors and put on the pulls when the new cabinets arrived. Tim was very helpful and did everything with a sense of urgency. The cashiers check was mailed to the cabinet company right away and the doors were ordered quickly. After that, I expressed my concern and I requested a different handyman. Here, I was met with much resistance and told they like to give their handy men a second chance and the handy man was very sorry. To be honest, I don't really care about giving people second chances. The job should have been done right the first time. I shouldn't have had to wait 2 weeks for everything to be fixed. After I asked three times for another handy man and I was given the same response, I finally gave up and said FINE but I will have to watch him like a hawk. How can you blame me though? My confidence in the handy man was very low. The same handy man came 2 weeks later to install the cabinet doors and pulls. Of course, we watched him just to make sure he drilled everything right because I didn't want to order MORE cabinets. For some reason, in the beginning he had trouble getting the new doors installed and drilled multiple holes in the side where the hinges are. One of the base of the cabinets became cracked. This is where my bf told him to STOP before the crack got bigger. The handy mans cell phone rang at that moment, and he then excused himself to answer the phone. He left to go downstairs and outside my house where my front door was. My boyfriend went to the front window and opened the window only to hear the handyman talking bad about him to his boss saying he can't work. His boss then called me asking me if there was a problem. Andrew, the owner, was very polite on the phone and asked if there was a problem. I explained to him that my confidence in the handy man was low and I can't be blamed for watching him to make sure it's done right this time around. PLUS, he had made another crack in the base of the cabinet which I did not ask them to replace but could of since it was damage not caused by me. I told Andrew that from the very beginning I asked for another handyman and it should have been respected. We wouldn't be in this situation where I was watching him. If someone doesn't feel comfortable with someone, they shouldn't be FORCED into being stuck with someone when they already had a bad experience with that person. Andrew apologized, which I appreciate but I informed him that a good business would respect the customer's wishes from the very beginning and I wouldn't have to wait another day for another handyman to come. The next day someone new came. We didn't watch him. He installed the rest of the cabinet doors on and also installed the pulls just fine. We were all happy then. So to make a long story short, although my experience with the first handyman was HORRIBLE...I will say that the upper management did a very good job in damage control and keeping me from getting VERY VERY upset. If i had met resistance in replacing the cabinetry that was damaged, I would have been EXTREMELY upset and probably have hired a lawyer. This was the whole reason I chose a company that was insured. Since the company did a very good job in damage control, I am giving them praises for that. The company is good if you get a handy man that is qualified. If they don't meet up to your expectations, at least management will be sure to take care of you.

Mike was very punctual, professional, honest, and made sure I knew exactly how much I was being charged and why. He did an excellent job on the woodwork and cleaned up everything afterward. I would definitely use this company again!

I called Handyman Matters and my call was returned within 10 minutes. They were able to set up an appointment for me very quickly. Chris showed up on time and was very professional. He worked quickly and even fixed a part of the door I had forgot to mention on my first call. I was very pleased with the professionalism, speed and workmanship provided. I will definitely use Handyman Matters again.

Great service, it was one person working alone, so it took a while. He did the drywall/filling work one day and the painting the next day. I also asked to hang a towel bar in the bathroom, and he had forgotten about that until the second day, he did do the work, but did not have wallpaper glue to fix the wallpaper, I told him I would do it myself, but the handle was hung well and the old holes patched up. The only things I did not like too much, but would not prevent me from using them again was some drywall filler on the carpet and on the ceiling fan (but this dissolves in water easily, so not a huge deal).

Excellent all around. Making the shutters required finding 1x6 cedar boards. I wanted boards without knots since knots usually fall out with time. Such wood is very hard to find, but he went out of his way to locate and hand-pick very straight boards that had only a few very tight knots, with none being on the edges. Since I was having the house repainted and wanted the new shutters painted before being installed he delivered the new shutters just before the painters were scheduled to come, then returned to install them once they were painted. I found the people at Handyman matters very accommodating, easy to work with, and eager to do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer. I would gladly recommend them to anyone and everyone.

We had ANOTHER handyman (that we selected off of Angie's List because he had an A rating) than installed a door for us, and then proceeded to tell us that he does not do trim work (after working for 4 hours) (he also called us and told us that he forgot to caulk) . So we had a half finished job. I was very frustrated with that handyman, and I was about to give up on Angie's list. But Handyman Matters also had a good rating. So we called Handyman Matters to see if they could finish the job and put trim around the door and caulk. They sent Wayne, and I was so happy when he was here. He knew what he was doing, did the job and then even fixed a problem with our fence for a small additional fee. It was nice not to have to babysit the professional (as we had to do with the first handyman). From now on I'm calling Handyman Matters.

Joe took apart the old wood Patio cover and cleaned and filled all screw holes then primed and painted the patio area and primed and painted a few spots around the trim on the house and hauled all the old wood away plus an old concrete planter that had turned over and I was not able to get it back up due to the weight of it and Joe hauled it off for me with the old wood. Work was first rate.
