Sullivan Home Service

Steve had to cut out and replace portions of the drywall, caulk, paint both woodwork and repaired drywall, blow dry between coats. The area looks like new. He also installed a 4' fluorescent ceiling fixture, adjusted cabinet doors, and installed a shower assembly. It went very smoothly and works perfectly. He is already scheduled to come for the 4th time to make additional repairs.

Really well- needed more repair then we realized did a great job neat no mess and was very good at explaining what was needed and why. He is definitely coming back. Honest and caring.

I had purchased a big deal and I paid some extra charges becuase he spent more time with us than the big deal. He was very nice and he did everything that he said he would do and it turned out very well.

I am very pleased with the work Steve did in my bathroom. Excellent job! He is very knowledgeable and personable with over 40 years experience. I would highly recommend him to family, friends and anyone needing handyman services. He even followed up with me the day after to see if I was pleased with the work and if I had any questions or concerns. Professional all the way! I will definitely call him back for other things I need done around the house.

Did an excellent job at repairing grout in kitchen and bathrooms. Attempted to fix gaucet in kitchen. I t is now stiff a sticky. trust worthy. Nice.

Excellent - timely, well-done with great follow-through.

Steve arrived on time. We went over list. i had priortized items that I needed done. I had hired him for 3 hours and wasn.t sure what all he could do in that length of time. He went right to work but made many, many many trips back to truck, often on the phone. I felt llike he was going to truck so he could answer the phone and not necessarily to get things needed for work. He misunderstood that I needed two shades hung and pulled my curtain rods out and left big holes in the wall. He came back to rehang rods when I called him and told him I needed them fixed.(He did not charge for this). I felt that Steve had a difficult time with time management.

Steve Sullivan was very responsive in the email communication to schedule the work and get the info required to do the job. He showed up promptly at the scheduled time and got right to work. The tile in the shower is in good shape, but the grout was in pretty bad shape with a lot of it missing. Steve did a great job making the grout look like new. He also did a good job of cleaning up the work area. I'm very happy with the work and plan on using Sullivan Home Service again in the future.

. I used Sullivan Home Service six weeks ago. I paid 800 $ much more than the big deal of 99 $. They worked for 3 days on my shower. I think he could have done in less time. He did a good job. It looks beautiful.

Went fine, but seemed like a small amount of work for the money paid

Mr. Sullivan answered my phone call, came the next day right on time, he told me what the problem was. After I purchased a new light fixture, he installed it.

Mr. Sullivan was good about communicating and scheduling the time for him to come by and do the work. Upon arriving he evaluated the work that needed to be done and got right to it. He worked hard (removing old grout/caulk isn't easy) and when we realized it was going to take longer than the time I had paid for with the deal he was good about coming out the next evening to finish the job at an hourly rate. The quality of his work is high and I'm pleased with the results. Mr. Sullivan was pleasant to work with and I trust that he will do his best to accomplish work in a timely fashion with an attention to detail.

He called before he came to make sure he had what I needed, he came back to finish the work at a later date because it took some time to get everything put together.

I was very please with my experience. He provided a flat hourly rate, which made it easy for me to budget as I added to the list of jobs. He also arrived ready to work, he did not waste my time with a lengthy estimate visit. He had all the tools he needed in his truck for everything I needed, and he made sure that I was pleased with the result at each stage of completion.

Terrible. I feel bad for this older gentleman. He gave no estimate and could not give a completion time once he was well into the project. He was nice enough and courteous, but he made a one hour job extend to more than 5 hours without completing it (we asked him to leave). All he had to do was demolish two approximately 7 foot by 3 foot half walls of brick (he removed them one by one with a saw!) and a 3 brick high 7 x 7 foot platform. We stopped him after 5 hours when he finally got the walls removed. It took me approximately 35 minutes to remove the remaining platform with a chisel and sledge hammer. Now we are approximately $250 poorer, have a large pile of bricks in our family room, and we're a little wiser. He seems like a nice guy, but he was in over his head on this tiny demolition project and we paid for it. Definitely not recommended - this should have been a one hour job, maybe an hour and a half if he cleaned thoroughly and took the bricks/debris with him.

We were very satisfied with all elements of the work from start to finish. Could not have gone better. Will use his services again.

Steve was GREAT!! He answered the phone himself, told me he could come by in the next day or two, and did. After he finished everything, I asked him for a quote to paint the garage ($350). On Tues 1/29/13 he came exactly at the time he promised and did the job, materials included. He even hauled out a queen size mattress that I didn't know what to do with. He was pleasant, clean and fair, and got the work done!! I will definitely use him again!! I still have one high hat in the middle of a staircase that needs to be changed which is hard to access but Steve said he could do it and will come back. He also still needs to lubricate the garage door but we decided to take advantage of the warm weather that day and paint the garage first. I would recommend him without hesitation!

Initial call to Steve went very well, was concerned about matching the color of caullk we already had in the house. Asked for a picture to be emailed so he could get it right. Was a bit late for appointment but did call ahead to let me know. Had hoped to get a little more done in the 3 hour labor special that I had bought from Angies List deal. Everything he did was done right, he was clean, did not leave a mess and my new caulk looks great. He is coming back next week for more jobs.

Steve and I agreed that the holiday was not a good time to have the work done and so set an appointment for after the start of the new year. He was running late but called to let me know he would soon arrive. He removed the old grout but made a trip to Home Depot to buy caulk in the middle of the job. The work was well done and I am very pleased. After completing the job he cleaned up very thoroughly. He was very pleasant and comfortable to be with. I payed an extra 1/2 hour and also paid for the grout.

Exceptionally well. Extremely well priced, very professional, would highly recommend.

Mr Sullivan came on the first , and expectedly the only day of service, and began the removal of my doors. When he opened the first box, he discovered that it and the other box had come with no door handles or locks. I called Home Depot and was told at that time that I was supposed to have bought those parts separately. Because I had not been advised of this at the time of the door purchase, Home Depot provided me with the handles and locks free of charge. Then Mr Sullivan discovered that some of the other parts were missing from the door boxes, and I had to again call Home Depot to order the missing parts. A second appointment had to be made after these parts arrived. Mr Sullivan made a second appointment to come to my home and finish the installation, and at the second appointment, he discovered yet more parts that were incorrect, but he was able to adapt them to make the doors work properly. This made the job take longer than expected, and added to the cost, which Home depot credited to my debit card.

Steve is terrific. He is very knowledgeable, and he doesn't waste time. All communication was prompt , friendly and thorough. We hired him to stay on past our allotted three hours (through the big deal purchase) to do some additional work at his regular rate, and he was happy to do so. It's been two and a half weeks, and we've not had a problem with anything he worked on. We recommend Steve highly, and we won't hesitate to call him again as needs arise.
