The installation of our kitchen tile backsplash went very well. We were very pleased with the quality of work and timeliness of the project. Steve communicated thoroughly, offered great advice, and was kind both in his manner and with his time. We highly recommend him!

Steve was great! He was very polite. He came one day and walked around with me for over an hour just to see what all I wanted done and to give me estimates and advice. Then, he wrote out a list of items and measurements for me to take to the store with me when I went to shop for materials. I scheduled him to come early the next week, and that morning he called to say he was running late, but he was the one who set the time in the first place, so it didn't really matter to me. I just told him anytime on that day would be fine. The step he fixed looks great and feels much more sturdy than it was before. The dishwasher proved to be more of a challenge because it had odd hook-ups, so Steve ended up having to go back to the store twice to get parts. However, he stayed as late as it took to get the job finished for us, so he wouldn't leave us with a mess. He came back the next day to do the ceiling fan because he had not brought a tall enough ladder the first time, but he didn't charge us extra for the extra day. We are happy with what he did, and we are planning to have him do more projects soon!

Steve was great -- very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, flexible, and quick. He got everything done we needed and we wouldn't hesitate to call him again when anything else around the house comes up.

It didn't go...we made two phone calls and he never called us back.

When I first contacted Steve by email - he returned my call immediately and said he would love to do the work but would not be available for about 2 weeks - which worked out well for us. After about 2 weeks he contacted me and made an appointment to come to our house to give us an estimate. He came the next week on the day he said he would and finished the work in three days. I was very pleased and impressed with Steve's character, professionalism and his skill. He has knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry and much more. Excellent workmanship! Mr. Sullivan is a very nice gentleman with a wealth of knowledge on repairing and remodeling older homes likes ours. He was professional and prompt and did a great job. We hope to have him back soon for several other projects.

He was on time and professional. It was a difficult job, as there was limited space to work in. Everything looked great when he was done. I would use him again.

Mr. Sullivan had recently completed a repair for us, cleaning and resealing the grout in a tiled whirlpool tub and shower. He did an excellent job, and I asked him whether he could also fix the water damage caused by a combination of these leaks and a flood from our washing machine. Our dining room ceiling had suffered significant staining, buckling, and cracking across an 8 by 10 foot area. Mr. Sullivan assessed the damage, and quoted us $450.00 for repairs. This was very reasonable; we had two other estimates, one of which was slightly higher, the other of which was much higher. Mr. Sullivan was also able to do the work within a week. The other service providers couldn't fit us in for at least a month. Mr. Sullivan arrived promptly at 9 a.m. on Monday, 23 June, and began work immediately. We were away from the house for large parts of the day; we gave him a key so he could come and go as needed. We had no hesitation whatsoever in doing this. Mr. Sullivan does meticulous, high-quality work. He is efficient in his approach, but he takes the time he needs to finish the job to his satisfaction. He patched the damaged drywall, re-nailed it where it had pulled free of its fastenings, resealed the seams, replaced the ceiling fixtures, sanded, primed, and painted. At the end of the day, the ceiling looked as if it had never been damaged. Mr. Sullivan is a true craftsman, and I strongly recommend him for any job that falls within his wide range of expertise.

We have a whirlpool tub with a tiled enclosure and tiled shower walls. The grout had cracked in the corners of the shower walls and along the seams where the tile met the tub, causing leaks. I left a description of the problem on Mr. Sullivan's website at 6 a.m. on Friday, 13 June. Mr. Sullivan called at 7 a.m. the same day. We discussed the work in detail; he asked a number of knowledgeable questions, and described the best approach to the repairs. He offered to come to the house and provide an estimate that afternoon. My schedule was fully booked, so he offered to come on Monday, and to complete the work that day if I was satisfied with the estimate. He arrived within 30 minutes of the time he had set, having first called to explain the slight delay. He quoted us $250.00 for the job, and $20 for additional materials he would need to purchase. This was highly reasonable. He started right away, and worked on the grout for most of the day. He did a meticulous job of cleaning, resealing, and repairing; when he finished, the entire tiled area looked new, and the cracks were fully sealed. He also explained his processes clearly and courteously at every stage. Given the time and care he invested in the job, I actually felt he had undercharged us for his labor. From the first phone conversation to the final cleanup, this was an exceptional experience.

Steve Sullivan is one of the nicest GENTLEMAN I have ever met. He is very courteous and easy to talk to. This may sound silly to those who do not have pets, but he was GREAT with my dogs and my cat. If your animals do not like a person, it is a warning sign they cannot be trusted. He did a wonderful job keeping my house as clean as possible during the work and cleaned up after himself everyday. He started the job on Monday morning and finished on Wednesday afternoon. Monday was all about the demolition. Tuesday was all about fixing the sub-floor, leveling the floor, and the prep work needed to get the tile perfect. Then he laid the floor tile and put in the tile base board. Wednesday was about repairing the drywall (ONE OF THE BEST DRYWALL JOBS I HAVE EVER SEEN) and grouting the tile. I AM ABSOLUTELY OVER-JOYED WITH THE TILE WORK. It looks exactly as I envisioned it. I will definitely use Steve for other home improvement jobs. The quality of his work is SUPERB! And, most importantly, he was nice. I got the sense he is a genuinely GOOD PERSON.

It was a disaster. My son was home at the time when Steve came to do the job. He showed up late and I was unable to walk through things with him. I left him a list to do by priority. I wanted a shelf installed in a closet. I wanted them to re-install what I had and he installed a new wood shelf. He bought $90 worth of supplies and he did not need that much. I also wanted him to re-attach my banister bracket. The banister was digging into the wall and it was very sloppy. The work was not what I asked and he did not get everything done that I wanted done. I would not recommend him from my experience. I also had trouble scheduling the service and they never got back to me.

After a slight delay in contacting us Steve was very responsive and looked over the bathroom and provided us an estimate. We felt comfortable and decided to go with Sullivan. Steve was on time and reliable, his estimate was accurate. While Steve was repairing the tile he found a problem with the subfloor, he offered us a couple ways to proceed, we decided to pay a little more and fix it right (the original construction was done on the cheap). I feel like he was fair, honest and responsive-- what else could you ask for? We will use him again! Our new tile guy.

Steve provided the details of the materials and labor. He requested for payment of materials when he brought them to the house and then payment for the labor when job was complete. His work is excellent and he cleaned up each night before he left for the night. I requested quotes on various work in the house and Steve asked for what was most important to me. He then broke the quote down a section at a time based on the importance to me. I didn't realize that it would cost as much as it did so this was great. This allowed me to do what I could afford at this time and then contact him again later when I had the rest of the money. He did so well with the first 2 jobs I have hired him to return when he has finished with his next job to do another job for me.

Excellent all the way around. Fair price, quality work, on time and professional. Have used him for two projects and I'm very please with both. Highly recommend.

I called them and they said that they were not able to do the work as they do not service my area. The person that I talked to was professional. I am in the county so I am shocked they would not service my area.

I will just say that he made it a two trip job. In other words he started the job then had to leave to go to a birthday party and then setup another date to complete what was started. This was imposition for my tenant. The job was completed and everything is working well, no additional charges were incurred.

I recently used Sullivan Home Service to do repair work on the windows in my home. Mr. Sullivan provided excellent service prior to and during his visit. He was prompt and courteous, asking many questions before he started to ensure he knew exactly what I wanted. He was responsive and flexible when I explained what I needed. His work was very satisfactory and he asked specifically if it met my expectations. I will be using Sullivan Home Service again and I recommend his services to others as well.

Steve is so nice and very easy to get along with ! We look forward to Having him come back! I had purchased "the big deal" for myself and Then gifted my mom and sister with one each. Steve Sullivan took me shopping at home depot and helped me pick out supplies for the project he was going to be working on. He also helped me with supplies for other projects I would be doing myself. He replaced areas of my bathroom floor and put back board down. He then put tile down. There was a lot of cutting on the tiles and he did a great job of fitting it all together. He could not grout it the same day so he showed me how to do it. Because of his instructions the grouting was easy. He checked out other projects that I would be working on and gave me suggestions. I am very pleased with his work and his willingness to share his knowledge.

Amazing! The tile was beautiful after he completed his work!

Mr Sullivan is very busy. Our communication was email/text. Based on the picture and my description of size I got an estimate via email/text. We never We're able to connect up for a more formal estimate. Ultimately I decided to go with concrete which Mr. Sullivan doesn't do

Still negotiating with Angie's list for either a new provider, or reimbursement. Need to have work done ASAP, so Angie's list....HELP ME>

I purchased a Big Deal for 3 hrs of handyman services from Mr. Sullivan. After I had to re-schedule our original work day, Mr. Sullivan arrived on time and immediately started on my laundry list of odd jobs. He was professional and courteous. I would recommend him to other Angie's List members and I would hire him again.
