I was pleased overall. Ashbusters told me their standard charge was $159 for an inspection and sweep. After the inspection, the sweeps - who were certified, by the way - told me everything looked fine and no sweep would be necessary. I was a bit disappointed when I learned the basic charge without the sweep was $119, which didn't seem like enough of a reduction. But, at least they didn't charge me for unnecessary work.

They did an excellent job of taking down the chimney. The company's owner Mark, was very friendly and very professional. I felt the price was high compared to other similar services. Once they didn't call me back right away so they could improve on responsiveness a bit. But overall a very good job.

They were very honest and did a great job! I didn't want to use my dryer until the pipes were cleaned out, and they were able to come the next day. Personable, on time, and efficient - I would definitely use them in the future!

From my first conversation with the representative on the phone through my visit from Tim, the certified chimney sweep who performed the work, the experience was great! Even though it's peak season for chimney sweeping and I waited till the last possible minute to schedule the job, they were able to come within 10 days. Tim was on-time, took special care in ensuring the work was done without a mess and most importantly, gave an honest assessment during the inspection. Because I was unable (more likely unwilling!) to get on the roof with him while he dropped a camera down our chimney to check for chimney tile damage, I had to trust his word regarding the internal condition of our 50+ year old chimney. When he returned with a clean bill of health, I was shocked! He could have listed a multitude of unnecessary repairs and had it been a priority to move forward, I probably would have done it and been taken advantage of. Not with Ashbusters! They are honest and forthright. Use them!

Ashbusters was very professional, calling the day before to confirm the date and time of the appointment and courteous. They described the inspection thoroughly and did not leave a bit of disorder. Not only did they perform their duties but they also informed us of a problem with our Fireplace that was not disclosed by the Previous owners of our home and could have caused a chimney fire. Although we did not have the repairs done at that time, if and when we chose to do them, we will definitely contact Ashbusters to perform the service.

Ashbusters was extremely kind to us. When the job became more complex (due to discovery of more problems) Mark explained each one and the right way to fix them. He is very knowledgeable about chimneys -- something it's easy to ignore but in an old house, could be very costly. We are so glad they did the work. They did a professional, thorough job. We have not had any problems in the three years since completing the work.
