They do everything. We showed them where we would like the wood stove and they took of everything. Their prices were reasonable. I think they went above and beyond. Although there was a screen at the top of our chimney, we had a bird get in. They manufactured a new screen to prevent birds from ever getting in.

These guys were very professional and timely in taking care of the tuck pointing that I needed done. They seemed knowledgeable about the job. While I didn't use all of the services they proposed there was no hard sell and the did a good job on what I needed.

Ashbuster's did a thorough inspection of the chimney, actually showing me what they saw via video and photos from inside my chimney. There was some water leakage and the chimney needed to be repointed and recapped. They did excellent work and were courteous and professional throughout. They now come and sweep the chimney annually. I would highly recommend them.

It was not actually fixed. I wasn't too pleased with what they did. Just for coming out is $89.00. Depending on what needs to be done is extra. He went up and what it was is something on top of the chimney was coming off. There was also a piece of sheet metal that needed to be replaced because the wood underneath was getting rotten. He didn't come with anything to replace anything. He just nailed down the cap part and said he would have to come again for the other part and it would be another service call. So I wasn't too happy about that. He was right on time but they did not call me first. They said they would call me. I kind of got caught off guard and lost time. I was not prepared for them. He did not have a uniform or badge or anything. I will not call them back.

Ashbusters are great people to work with. They are on time. They do a good job. They leave us happy. They cleaned up after themselves.

They were so good, I recommended them to my daughter. They had a good price, they were very considerate of our new rug and they did a good job. They were helpful and they came on time. I would use them again.

Ashbusters was very responsive. I called a couple of places, and most did not call back within one or even two business days. On the contrary, Ashbusters answered, was able to come out to the house within two days of calling, and provides FREE estimates. The home inspection report showed issues with the firebox, the fireplace is currently not in working order, and the masonry of the chimney bricks was in trouble. They met our real estate agent (we are still living out of state) at the house, and provided him with an estimate of repairs needed and what it might cost. It won't be a cheap repair - they seemed perhaps a bit on the expensive side, but very knowledgeable. We are not planning to do the fireplace repairs first, but will most likely use Ashbusters when we get to that project.

Initially called Ashbusters for an estimate on Fireplace and Chimney Repair and installation of a Lock-top Damper. Mark came out to do the assessment and was extremely helpful and honest about which repairs he recommended and which ones he didn't think were needed. He quoted $450 for locktop damper and installation, $115 for patchwork of the back wall of the fireplace (needed repair and replacement of 2 firebrick), $175 for patching of an ash-dump door and pouring of a new fireplace floor, and $375 to pour a new crown on the chimney (had lots of water damage and an extremely deteriorated crown). I ended up getting all the work except the lock-top damper done, and they honored a 10% off coupon from Angie's list. The same person who did the estimate was the one who came out to do the work, Mark. I decided to purchase the lock-top damper and try to install it myself and Mark even helped with that when he was here - which I thought was extremely nice of him! He definitely went above and beyond my expectations. The whole experience was professional and I would definitely recommend this company for future services. Thanks Mark and Ashbusters!

He did a good job. They were quick and did what they said they would do. He used a camera and showed us what he had seen.

The office contact person was amazing. She was polite, thorough, and responsive to our request. Our service tech was Jason, who was prompt, courteous, and very respectful of our home and time. He did a thorough cleaning and provided, at our request, some suggestions regarding upkeep of our fireplace.

I contacted Ashbusters for a chimney sweep/inspection and spoke to a very nice and helpful woman to set up an appointment. They arrived on time and were fast, clean, very polite and professional. We moved into our house a year ago and have never used the fireplace because we were aware that there were some problems. Jason from Ashbusters showed us pictures of both the outside and the inside of the chimney so we could see exactly what the issues were for ourselves. He explained everything thoroughly and gave us an impeccable written estimate for everything so we would know exactly what it would cost to fix each issue. He even gave us ideas for alternatives, such as a wood-burning stove, that would save us money in the long-run. We have a lot to think about, but once we make a decision we will definitely be calling Ashbusters again.

I saw their trucks around and they were very professional. They were good and we liked them. They come out and use several stoke things and work on your chimney. We have an older house that we bought in summer and we needed to make sure we were safe. They just tell you want you need to do. I knew what the cost was before and I knew they weren't going to fix anything. They were honest. I've never had to have one of these people come out and they might be a little higher on price. The quality was good.

They were on time and clean. They did a great job. Everything we read was the work we received. They were punctual, responsive, and professional.

This was my first time using Ashbusters and I was impressed by the entire experience. Their office staff is friendly and helpful and the technicians who came out and did the work were nice and knowledgeable. They were right on time and did the work without mess or fuss. Ashbusters cleaned 4 of our wood burning fireplaces and chimneys. They were SO clean! I couldn't believe cleaning an ash riddled chimney would be so dust free! They were right on time and the workers were extremely polite and professional. I would highly recommend them!

The experience was fine. They didn't make any mess, and at least I didn't have to clean it. I didn't take estimate from any other companies.

Everyone I spoke to from Mike who did the initial inspection, to Matt who completed the work, to the receptionist today is very nice. The only issue I had initially was that they didn't always show up as promised. The work they did appears to be very well done however, it did not stop the leak as they told me it would. The next time it rained, the chimney was leaking again (all over my wood floor). Matt came to check and said that I would need to replace the flashing at a cost of $650, and install a crickett. If I wanted to do both together it would be $1,250. As I had already spent $865 to complete repairs that I thought would solve the problem, I had 2 other companies come out to get their opinions on what needed to be done before I spent any more money. Both estimates are at least $300 lower than Ashbusters, and both said immediately that the flashing should have been checked first thing. I think Ashbusters should have known that the work they did would not stop the leak. I feel like they took advantage of me being a single woman and not having any prior knowledge of roofing/chimney systems. I spoke to Mark Stoner, the company president, today and he was very unconcerned about my issues. I told him I would be leaving a negative review and he just did not care. He would do nothing to help the situation except send someone else out to look at my chimney. At this point I can not trust this company. I have already hired another company that has a guarantee on their workmanship, not just a manufacturers warranty for materials. Now I am out $865 for repairs that could have waited.

The phone person set an appointment for an estimate on the first phone call, and gave a time within a 1 hour window on a day of my choice within 2 days of my call. The estimator showed up on time, made the measurements, and I had an estimate via e-mail the same day. The office person called the next day to be sure the meeting went well. I ok'd the work as estimated (except I opted for no sealant which would've added another $250), and they set a time for the work to begin within 2-3 days. Workers showed up early that am, ground out all the old mortar, and would'vbe finished the same day, but couldn't pour mortar due to rain. They returned the next day and finished. After about 2 days they returnd to do the cleaning acid wash. I was able to do the transaction by phone (pay 1/2 half to my credit card before work started, and the remaining half by phone to the credit card after work completed) Everyday, someone from office would call to be sure all was to my satisfaction. My only complaint is that they seem to be a bit expensive (although I did not get another estimate), and the workers left some trash (soft drink bottles and paper cups) under the shrubs around the front door. I called to complain about the trash after the work was done, and the receptionist apologized and offered to have someone come right out and clean it up, but I had already thrown the trash away.

They did a good job. They were very responsive and very professional. They didn?t even charge for the estimate. When we set it up, it looked like they were going to charge for the estimate but they didn?t. He also told us about some endangered birds we had in our chimney that we didn?t even know about. He took a picture of the nest and told us to wait to do the chimney service until after the birds had left the nest. We decided that we are going to do the work ourselves.

Shon and Tim were very punctual and professional. They explained the process in detail and worked around some challenges that the chimney posed. Great experience.

I can see why Ashbusters has earned such praise. On both occasions they came when they said they would and there were no hidden charges. I paid exactly what the estimate called for. They also gave me one discount for having them do both the chimney and the dryer on one visit and another discount for mentioning Angie's List. At no extra charge, they also painted the new chase cover to match the old chimney cap. They were polite and professional in answering my questions about how and why they did the work they did. When they took the old chase cover down, they showed me where it had rusted through in several spots, thus confirming their original assessment. At no time did I feel like they were just trying to sell me extra services that I did not need.
