Ashbusters Chimney Service Inc

While I was en route to meet them at the house for an apt between 3-4, they called me saying they would be more like 4:00 getting there. Then they called at 4 to say they were on their way, would be there in 20 min. Then I got a call at 445 to let me know they were stuck in traffic just 2 miles from our house. Once they arrived, around 5, they were polite, apologetic for being late, and quick to work. They were thorough in their sweep of the chimney, and moreso on the inspection. Upon finish, they educated us on the condition of our chimney, possible fixes, possible dangers and risks as is, with a list of recommended solutions and alternative fixes as well. This chimney hadnt been cared for in a long time and needed quite a bit if work. Overall, they did their job proficiently, neatly, and professionally.

The Good Ashbusters was very professional in reaching out to me, working to set up a time, calling before the appointment to confirm the time, showing up on time (actually the technician called me on the afternoon of the service to see if he could come early), being very professional in nature during the service, taking the time to answer all of my questions, showing me all of my options, and writing the information down so I could take some time to think about what I wanted to do as far as repairs go. The technician was a nice guy, not pushy at all, and and was willing to take time to answer all of my questions. I have a wood burning fire places on two different levels of my home that were converted to gas some time ago (although I'm not sure when). The home was built in the mid-60s and I recently purchased it so I'm doing my due diligence with repairs. The technician walked me through my options with converting to a ventless solution (I asked about it). He showed me where several repairs needed to be made and gave me options. I was impressed with Ashbusters as a company and the technician's customer service. The Not So Bad I will say that the solutions were not inexpensive and it seemed obvious that this deal was a loss leader in order to get into the home and identify more lucrative work. I absolutely don't blame Ashbusters, though, as this is actually a good way to go about getting business. I feel like the technitian was honest with me, showing me pictures of the damage that required repairs. He wasn't pushy about scheduling the work at all. Ugly? He didn't perform the chimney sweep that I paid $99 for. He said that the chimney wasn't dirty and didn't require it. I would have like him to at least sweep the chimney just in case, but he didn't. I do feel like since I paid $99 it should have been swept, ostensibly clean or not, because it could have been dirty in places unseen. Overall You get what you pay for. I think Ashbusters provides a highly professional, premium service and you have to pay more for them to do the work than others who don't have dedicated customer service in the office and who may not be in business this time next year. Chimneys are what Ashbusters are dedicated to and I think they'll be in business for many years to come and will do the job at least as good as others, probably better. Their customer service was excellent.

They did a good job. I think their price is very fair. They are very responsive and are absolutely professional.

They were punctual, professional, careful and they were exceptional in matching the masonry grout on 21 year old chimney. It looks there was no work done.

These guys were so punctual and polite!! Performed a very thorough inspection and cleaning. And did not leave a trace of their visit!! So PROFESSIONAL!!

Very professional - no mess. Since this is a new house for us he showed me how to use the gas logs. Gave us estimate for needed work such as crack in chimney cap but no pressure to do it at the time.

Without any porblems or complaints

In preparation for selling our home, we wanted to have the fireplaces inspected and cleaned. John, the technician, was running a little late but he called and apologized and arrived before his new estimated time of arrival. He inspected the fireplace in the living room and determined that it did not need cleaning. It is run on natural gas which burns cleaner and we don't use it very often. We have a non-vented fireplace in the family room which he also agreed to take a look at and he determined that it looked to be in good condition and and the gas logs did not need cleaning either. John offered to and did light the pilot on the living room fireplace. So since there was no sweeping to be done, I asked if he would clean the dryer vent, which had not been done in 10 years. Upon inspection, he found that the hose had come off the back of the dryer. He cleaned the vent and then re-attached the hose with a metal clamp instead of the plastic one that had been there before. All work was performed in a professional and timely manner. A cloth was laid down in front of the fireplace to prevent dirt from getting on the carpet, and even though it wasn't needed, I appreciated that respect of our property. The technician was polite and pleasant and offered additional tips such as being sure our carbon monoxide detectors were working. I was very pleased with the service and would chose this company again.

I was very pleased how quick and easy it went. I also was dealing with plumbing issues at the same time and they all worked around eachother seamlessly.

Bought a house with a fireplace last spring (our first fireplace). Ashbusters was recommended by several friends with fireplaces. When they ran a special through Angie's List for a special price on fireplace and chimney cleaning/inspection, we bought the deal. If was quite a while (a couple of weeks) between when I bought the deal and when Ashbusters contacted me to schedule the service. This was the only negative I experienced with them. I chalked it up to a large response to their special offer. I was able to schedule an appointment that worked well with my schedule. The technicians arrived on-time. They were thorough and professional. They moved furniture out of the way and laid out a drop cloth around the fireplace to protect the floor. When using the brush up in the chimney they also used a VERY powerful vacuum--holding the hose toward the top of the fireplace--and did not allow any ashes or soot to escape into the room at all. When they ran the camera up through the chimney, I was able to watch the color monitor with them as they inspected and took still pictures. They pointed out some problems and made sure I understood what I was looking at. They answered my questions about everything. They even emailed me a copy of their report and the pictures of the chimney interior for possible submission to my homeowner's insurance. Overall, I was pleased. The delay from purchasing the special on Angie's List and getting contact from Ashbusters was frustrating. My friends who use them have never had any such problems getting service scheduled with Ashbusters, though. I recommend Ashbusters.

I thought the repair was just a bit expensive (~$600) but was clearly necessary, and the cleanings seemed to be market price

they were on time, quick, clean and very courteous. I need to have interior repair done and will use them for that when the time comes

Clyde took pictures of the damaged areas and showed them to me, and thoroughly explained what would be done step by step. Very professional, friendly and outstanding craftsmanship. I have not had one drop of water in my fireplace since Ashbusters came to my home. Highly recommended!!!

We used the "Big Deal" to meet our needs for chimney cleaning. It was simple to purchase and Ash Busters made contact for our appointment time. Due to work schedules we had to change the appointment several times but Ash Busters was very accomodating! The service provider arrived on-time on the final date scheduled. He was neat, professional and gave excellent feedback on the condition of our chimney and firebox. He did come back a second time to climb on our roof and inspect the chimney cap in the day light hours. No extra charge for the return trip. My husband and I were very pleased with the whole experience and would use this company again. Excellent service!!!

The tech was very pleasant and friendly, but I thought it was a little unprofessional of him to bad-mouth one of his competitors. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and had several options for us to consider, which I appreciated. The work he recommended was a lot more than we felt was necessary and the quote he sent was extremely high. I'm sure that it was commensurate with the actual work they would have done, but we decided to go another way.

Mark Harris was the technician and he was very personable and professional. I noticed he put covers over his shoes each time he entered the house and that was very much appreciated. He was careful not to make a mess and covered the floor well. I bought The Big Deal from Angie's List and that was a big savings!

We called Ashbusters for an inspection of our chimney and an estimate on repairs or a rebuild of the chimney due to leakage of water into our living room ceiling. The water leakage was causing damage repeatedly over a period of time and we could never find the cause. Ashbusters sent two of their technicians out to inspect the chimney. They were able to arrange an appointment to meet me on my lunch break (which was very much appreciated). The technicians arrived promptly at the time we had set for the appointment. They were very professional and knowledgeable and were able to answer all of our questions. They climbed up on the roof and did a thorough inspection of the chimney and the top portion of the chimney tiles inside the fireplace and they confirmed that the water was definitely coming from the fireplace. They indicated that the chimney was basically stable and did not need to be rebuilt. There were some loose bricks at the top and the crown was crumbling and in bad condition. They gave us an estimate on pouring a new crown, repairing the top portion of the chimney, replacing the chimney topper, power washing the moss from the chimney, and sealing the bricks to prevent water leakage. In addition, we had them quote the cost to have the interior of the chimney inspected with a camera and cleaned. The estimate was on the high side, so we did not endup using them for the repair work; however, they were very professional and we appreciated the fact that they did not try to upsell us as far as the amount of repairs that had to be made. The technicians were honest and pleasant. Even though we did not use them for the chimney repair, we will probably be calling them at some point to do a thorough inspection of the interior of the fireplace with a camera and a sweep of any creosote. It was a very positive experience and we felt very comfortable with the knowledge and experience of the technicians. We would have no problem recommending this contractor.

From start to finish, Ashbusters was very timely, professional in appearance, and followed-up on all calls during the estimate, ordering of the chase, and the installation process. No complaints whatsoever. They gave us the best price out of three estimates.

The work was completed in a few hours. The techs that did the work was excellent. I would hire this group again. I am looking at some work on my fireplace and will be getting quotes from them.

I am not positive how much I spent, but I remember the Chimney Sweep kept promising to send photos of the inside of the chimney and I never received them. I bought the condo and had the chimney cleaned before I installed gas burning logs. I feel like the chimney is safe now, anyway.

Mike and Kevin were very professional, courteous, informative and fast working. It was a pleasure to have them sweep our chimney.

Paid flat rate for service--am guessing on the price now. Excellent job, pleasant people to work with. Superb company.
