Ashbusters Chimney Service Inc

It went very well from start to finish. No mess, no fuss. Took approximately 2 hours and we are completely satisfied. Price was more than I expected but I have nothing to compare it to.

This company was by far the most professional and well run company I have dealt with in Nashville. Their follow through was excellent, the workmen were neat, clean and professional. yhey worked hard and fast and intelligently. The company followed up afterwards to make sure I was happy with their work.

The two workers were very professional and I was pleased with the prompt service. They cleaned my chimney and everything was neat and tidy. I asked them to save my charred logs that I like to use to kindle my next fire. They did, and replaced them on the grate before they left. Their inspection found missing mortar between flue tiles and between bricks in the smoke chamber. They recommended repairing by inserting a liner. For safety they advised that I do not use the fireplace until repairs are made. Their estimate for these repairs was over $2600 for one chimney. I have a second that they said needs repair also, and would repair both for just over $4200. I spoke with my contractor who sent me another chimney sweep (also on Angie's List) to look at my chimneys. The company owner came out and said he could do the repairs to the mortar without any inserts, since there was nothing wrong with the flue tiles and the smoke chamber could be done by hand. He did the repairs to both chimneys and billed my contractor who charged me $1800 to repair both chimneys, saving me $2400 over the Ashbusters price. There are other repairs that Ashbusters said need to be done to the outside of the chimney-- crown seal, repointing and waterproofing. I'll have my contractor do this. The Ashbusters people know what they are doing and I believe they do it well, but it's worth a second opinion. I called them because I needed my chimney cleaned, but I am glad that I also had the inspection and learned about the safety issues.

It has been just fine so far. They came out and looked at my chimney. They told me that it had to be repaired so they took pictures and I had it cleared through my homeowner's insurance. They have done a professional job so far. They told me that it was going to cost $5000. I am satisfied with the price. I am just waiting to have the actual work done now.

Ashbusters called me to set up an appointment. On the day of the service, the associates called to ask if they could come early because of a cancellation. ( I was not able to be home sooner than the scheduled time.) The two associates were waiting for me when I arrived home. They were quick, efficient, and courteous about their work, keeping the area clean and dust free. We have had Ashbusters do work for us before--they have always been exceptionally customer focused and professional about their work. We recommend them highly.

They were absolutely awesome. They are really good. They were courteous, open, honest and they did good work.

Mark and Josh were punctual, polite and professional. They repaired cracks, installed a chimney cap and waterproofed my very leaky chimney. It is now ready for gas logs. They even cleaned up after they were through. I would recommend Ashbusters to my friends.

They cleaned the fireplace very well. While my chimney physically appears fine, I figured it might could use some mortar repair, or just some general maintenance since it's 30 years old. I was a bit taken back to see a repair estimate of over $7,000. What they outlined seemed top notch, but overkill. For instance, relining the entire inside chimney with new style insulation cement, presure washing the exterior chimney, sealing the exterior chimney bricks, re-mortoring the inside smoke area, etc.... Again, I'm sure they'd do a great job with it, but that's *way* more than I had in mind.

I knew my chimney had issues and called ashbusters and they suggested I purchase the special currently offered through Angie's List. I scheduled appointment. I received a nice reminder call the day before service. On the day of service, Page called to let me know exactly when he would be there. When he arrived, he explained the service before beginning. He took video and pictures, explained the issues and options for repair, along with suggestions, as concerns best options for the money and for the health of the house and fireplace. They will be back to do the repairs. Thank you.

We first had Ashbusters out to inspect and sweep/clean the chimney. They found several problems which they documented by digital pictures and gave us a written estimate for the different repairs. When they came back to do the repair, they were prompt, pleasant and professional. Mark and Josh were very thorough and explained everything they did. They even volunteered to remove and haul away an old roof TV antenna for us. We have already recommended Ashbusters to our friends and would definitely use again.

To make a long store short, every one I dealt with was very nice, and I feel did the best job they could, they just didn't talk to each other and had different opinions of construction. The only reason I would not use them again is I don't think my fireplace could take being scoped by that camera again.

Had Ashbusters come out and clean our chimney. They showed up on time, even offering to come early. Promptly cleaned our chimney and provided an estimate for optional repairs.

They came on time, kept everything clean around the fireplace, cleaned and inspected the fireplace and chimney. They were very professional, very friendly, very thorough. They used a camera to go up in my chimney to inspect. They showed me that at one time I had a chimney fire, they showed me where my firebox had holes in it. They let me know alternatives for repair and gave estimates.

It was excellent! The technician that came for the estimate had a personal emergency on the scheduled day of the work. The company gave us the choice to reschedule or they could send a different technician. We chose a different technician to stay on schedule even though my wife and I were very pleased with the original technician. The technician sent to complete the work was just as knowledgable, professional, and courteous as the first. The demolition, rebuild, and clean-up were completed in one day with every step being explained and any questions answered. The room was even cleaned after completion of the work in a much better state than they found it! I try hard to be an objective person and in that spirit usually try to think of something that perhaps did not go so well. In this case however that would not be appropriate. Every aspect was completed with the highest of skill and professionalism. Highly recommend!!

it went well- they are very nice, did a thorough job and of course recommended additional work for which i declined- but at least now i know the condition of things. these guys are expensive- a bit like plumbers- but they are very good !

Ashbusters came to my home to clean my chimney. They took videos inside and outside the chimney and found many cracks inside the chimney, evidence of fire, and water leaks from the exterior of the chimney. These pictures were forwarded to my insurance company which agreed with Ashbusters assessment of the damage. The insurance agreed to cover almost all of the repair. Ashbusters returned on time, repaired the interior and exterior of the chimney, and cleaned up. They gave me clear instructions on how to use my fireplace. They were clean, careful, and polite.

The guys were prompt and very efficient. They were very honest, and let me know that my chimney is safe and ready for the winter season.

I left a message after hours on Friday and was surprised to get a call Saturday morning arranging a service call for Monday morning. They called to say they were on their way and arrived promptly as scheduled. Very professional, neat and courteous service. Gave an itemized estimate of suggested work needed on the chimney and explained what they found. No pressure to have the work done then or even by them. The office placed a followup call the next day to see if the work had been done to my satisfaction.

When you invite someone into your home to repair or maintain something as important as a fireplace, you hope for the kind of prompt, patient professionalism that Shawn (and his outdoor colleague) displayed. WOW! Not only did they service the chimney and carefully clean up afterward, but they gave us a "heads-up" about some potential spots around the chimney that could become a problem because of the way our siding had been put on. Great job, guys!

Chimney cleaning arrived ontime and great follow-up

No one showed for appointment. Did not call to cancel. Unreachable day of appointment. When reached a few days later no explanation was given or apology for wasting my time on a weekend. Appears to be out of state company that subcontracts locals. Would not use again to recommend.
