Description of Work: I used the Angies List special on 1 chimney and paid for the second. Guys were very professional, fast, and there was absolutely no mess. Found out that 1 chimney is unsafe and the other is fine. They cleaned both. Will call them in the future for repairs to the unsafe one. They thoroughly explained what is needed to bring it up to safe standards.

Description of Work: The technicians at Ashbusters came to clean our chimney 10-31-2012. They found from past chimney fires cracking, and gaps in the masonry, etc. They recommended I calll my homeowners insurance since I had had a fire and the repairs needed were so extensive. All the work, minus my deductible was covered. They came and performed all the work in a timely, courteous, and neat fashion. I highly recommend these guys.

Description of Work: Two pleasant gentlemen came promptly to perform the chimney sweep. I was VERY impressed that they put shoe covers on and spread out a drop cloth down where they were working, in front of the fireplace. I have never had a fireplace and they were very patient and knowledgable and answered all of my questions. The flue was not very dirty but had a lot of spiderwebs. They inspected the top of the chimney all the way down to the firebox. They did a thorough inspection of the firebox and explained what they are looking for. They answered all of my questions regarding burning wood and converting to propane. I was extremely appreciative of their education and attention to detail of the work.

Description of Work: Two service technicians from Ashbusters checked our chimney for any safety concerns. They identified several issues that should be dealt with in the near future, but since we have vent-free gas logs, they said our fireplace was safe for use. They provided a written list of repairs needed, estimated costs, and that same day they emailed me copies of the photos they took. Unfortunately, the company I work for scheduled a teleconference at the same time Ashbusters arrived, so I was not abel to interact as extensively with the technicans as I would have otherwise.

Description of Work: when the techs came out for the chimney sweep - they found we had a crack in the base that needed to be replaced. They gave us a quote on the spot and came back in 2 weeks to replace - very happy and will use again!

Description of Work: they came out to clean our chimney-and they may have cleaned it but all they did was to try to sell us an 8,000 package of chimney repairs. we felt it was a ripoff. this is after we made 8 attempts to schedule the appt.

Description of Work: the fellas from Ashbusters Chimney came when they said they would did the work answered all my dumb questions and even oiled my chimney flue ( not part of the service) for me. the were professional and cleaned up behind themselves. i would recommend them to anyone and will use them every year to keep my chimney in good repair.

Description of Work: Clyde and Josh were very polite and professional. They were on time as promised for both the estimate and the actual work. Repaired two chimneys for leaks and installed a cap on one. Capped off a gas line to fireplace and removed the grate. Great service and great people.

Description of Work: All services were very professional. Shon and Jonathan were very professional and took great care to protect carpet, etc. They were very forthcoming with answers to my questions. They made a point of giving me the opportunity to watch the video inspection of the chimney. Shon reviewed with me photos he took of the cap. The additional work I requested was quickly scheduled and would have been very timely if I didn't delay it for my scheduling purposes. I would definitely recommend their services to family and friends.

Description of Work: Jason & Tim were wonderful! They explained in detail what needed to be done to chimney & Fire place and they did it!! We now can use our fireplace!!! I would highly recomend them for future jobs.

Description of Work: Chimmney as checked with camera and the cresote that was in the bottom was removed. Workman said he had to go over the condition of chimney with his boss. and he would get back with us. That was on december 17,2011 . We have not heard a word from them since. they could at least tell us if it is un fixable. I feel we spent 250.00 for very little

Description of Work: They swept the chimney, did a thourough inspection, and answered all my concerns.

Description of Work: Technician was prompt and courteous, performed televised inspection of 80-year old masonry chimney, showed me cracks in tiles and signs of previous chimney fire. Gave written estimate of cost to repair which was substantially less than prior estimate from competitor. Agreed to take a look at gas-fire-starter in a different chimney (without inspecting that chimney) and advised me to replace the fire-starter, a service he didn't charge for and he doesn't sell. I can get a new fire-starter for $20 from Hearth & Grill. Technician didn't try to pressure me to see/perform additional inspections (such as dryer vents). Will use this company to perform the services they estimated.
