Description of Work: I purchased a big deal online for a roof inspection. The by responded quickly, set up the appt to do the work in a date I requested, and did some minor repair work which was included in the deal. It was quick and easy.

Description of Work: I may be off a bit on the date as I do not have the records in front of me. My house was getting close to the 20 year date and needed a new roof so I contacted several reputable companies and got quotes. Sprout was the cheapest of the three quotes but I am a value buyer so price was one of the considerations, but not the only one I used in making a vendor selection. I met with Mark who did a great job explaining all the options available to us. They showed up on time and worked hard every day and cleaned up after themselves each day. We had a few issues with the project but they were addressed in a timely manner. I expect some issues on a project this size so what really makes a difference is how they are handled. The first issue was they underestimated the time it took to complete the work. I think the problem was that I have very steep roof lines and a long drop in the back of the house. They had to be extra careful in order to avoid getting hurt. In the first few days they had a couple of guys who refused to come back after their first day because the roof lines were intimidating. However, they got their internal crew issues straightened out after a few days of working shorthanded and the guys that worked on the job were so impressive and professional that I gave three of them an extra $100 out of my pocket. In the end, I would rather they work safe, not fast. I was impressed that the company took pains to be sure the job got done right and their workers were safe rather than get it done fast even if it meant they would not make as much money. I am sure they made less money than planned due to the extra days it took. A few months after the work, we had a leak in our bedroom. By chance, it was over our bed and occurred in the middle of the night during a very heavy storm and landed right on my sleeping wife! To say the least, she was not happy. I called Mark the next day and he came out fixed some flashing around the chimney which had come undone. Not sure if it was an installation issue or storm related but he dealt with it quickly. Within a short time, we had the same issue again. Mark was on vacation but they sent someone else out who fixed the flashing again and we have had no issues since. The leak casued some sheetrock damage on our celing and they sent two guys to fix it. They fixed the sheetrock, but their painting skills left a bit to be desired as the white on the tray ceiling bled over to the tray wall which wasa different color. We will have some touch up to do before we sell but we were planning on painting the bedroom anyway so no big deal. I did not tell Sprout about the paint issues as it is not that big of a deal to us, but I am sure they would have corrected it to our satisfaction. Although the leak was unfortunate (especially not getting it fixed the first time), it showed the type of company that Sprout is. I can definitely say they have integrity in how they conduct business and work to make their customers satisfied. I would definitely use them again. Any company can look good when everything goes real smooth, but you find out what a company is really like when you have a few bumps.

Description of Work: Placed flashing around 2 sandstone chimneys. My sandstone chimneys (2) had been leaking into the house for years. After many different types of repairs I called Sprout Roofing who sent Caleb out within 5 days. He was wonderful. He provided a written estimate within 2 days dropping it off at my home. The work was completed within 5 days. He was able to solve the problem by putting flashing around the chimneys which was a delicate job given the sandstone texture. We have had numerous heavy rains since and no leaks! Billy Johnston and his crew from Sprout completed the work and were very professional showing up on time calling me ahead of time and returning to complete the job at the given time. The estimate was very reasonable when comparing it to other roofing companies. I would definitely use Sprout again and fully recommend them to anyone. In fact, my neighbor is calling them for a similar problem. One of my friends used them for their roof and loved them as well. Great company with a great work ethic.
