He did find the cause and made several recommendations. He steongly suggested the free option! Great service!,!,

Description of Work: I purchased a dryer vent cleaning. We both had to reschedule several times due to weather (snow) and other obligations. But the work went well, he was very knowledgeable and professional.

Description of Work: I originally bought a Fire logs clean-up service but advised when I called them that the thermocouple need to be replaced. I supplied them with all of the pertinent information, but when they came out they cleaned them and said I was OK. As soon as they left we tried the to use them and they went out within a few minutes. I called them back to replace the thermocouple and it took about a month and $169.00 to fix. They were very pleasant, so I would use them again, but I was not happy with the additional charge.

Description of Work: The provider cleaned out all my floor vents and ceiling vents, checked my interior and exterior dryer vent, and cleaned out our chimney. He also told me that the chimney's damper was broken, and fixed it to a useable condition (always open). It has been that way ever since. | |They returned about a month later to take a look at our chimney on the roof. They recommended a permanent, custom made, metal cap be affixed to it instead of re-cementing the roof. However, they would have to e-mail me the quote because it would be a custom job. They sold me on the product, and I was looking forward to hearing back from them. However, I never did. I even checked my junk folder for the next month, and never saw the e-mail. If they would send me the quote, I would like to consider working it into our repair budget--we love using our fireplace. | |They were great technicians and actually know how fireplaces are constructed and how they are meant to work. The techs that came to us are also trained firemen. I was thoroughly pleased with their knowledge of their craft and would definitely hire them to do a job at our home without reservation.

The owner does the work, and is so helpful, kind and professional, we cannot praise his work enough. It was like he was doing a service for family. We highly recommend Seymour Chimney and will ONLY use them for anything like this again.
