I requested a quote via Angie's List and I never received any call back or follow up. Obviously not interested in my business.

We had previously given this company a C rating because they were slow to follow up and communication could have been much better. We understand now that the owner of the company is knowledgeable about gas fireplaces and the best way to communicate is texting. The services we needed were not an emergency and he did get back to us with valuable information.

It took weeks to get an appointment. They did come when the appointment was set up. Found some problems with the gas insert and they promised follow up. After a month, I’ve tried to contact them twice and gotten no response so we are moving on to another company. This is warm weather so it’s good to know now we can’t count on this company.

Work for which he was contacted to perform was done promptly and well. However, he did not have the necessary cap to fit nor did he have a long enough extension ladder. Will complete this work on a subsequent visit as well as evaluating the chimney brick for integrity or water damage.

Great company. My husband and I contacted Firehouse Chimney because we recently moved into our new home and wanted to make certain that our fireplaces were safe before using them. Once again, Angie's List helped us find an outstanding contractor. Kent was thoughtful, smart, caring, thorough, and effective. He took the time to inspect our two fireplaces fully, then recommended that he clean one. He checked out our chimney and took photos, making some suggestions regarding possible maintenance needs down the road. Kent also took the time to explain the basics regarding our dampers' operation, fire safety, and the insert stove. He inspired confidence and charged a fair price for his services. We will not hesitate to use Firehouse Chimney again and recommend Kent and his company without reservation.

It went fine. It wasn't as involved as I thought it was going to be because they were in and out pretty quick. They were pretty prompt. There were no extra charges. We have a gas fireplace and it hadn't been cleaned in a while. So I thought it would be appropriate for them to clean it. They said it was in pretty good shape. It was a non-event pretty much. $99 for what they actually did probably was a little high. It took them 30 to 45 minutes. They seemed to know what they were doing. It's an enclosed gas fireplace and they knew how to open it and take it apart. So, they seemed to be pretty knowledgeable. They came on the time they said they would come. They were professional.

He did a great job. Was very informative. Only complaint I have is that his scheduler scheduled too many appointments for that day and I got moved from 11am until appx 4pm the day of. But I will use again.

He was running a little behind but called to let me know that so it was fine. Was respectful, did a wonderful job on the fireplace and the chimney. Took photos at the top to show me where I might want to consider upkeep in the future and some maintenance repairs needed. Saved me several hundreds of dollars by letting me know what repairs did not need to be made. VERY happy with this service.

He did a good and came out two weeks after I made the purchase. It was a big deal. It was clean and professional work. They left the area clean. They were responsive.

They showed up on time and we're professional, punctual, and left no mess behind. I was very pleased with their service and would definitely use them again.

He was flexible on his arrival time. We had scheduled for 8 am and had to change to afternoon. I had a few extra vents to be done (over 10 ) and also wanted him to replace a dryer vent. He explained exactly what he was doing and offered some suggestions . He was very respectful of our home and gave us good service.

2 technicians arrived on time. They brought the necessary equipment inside, careful not to damage any property. One worked on the air ducts and the other, the chimney's. All work was completed in a timely fashion. What I appreciated most was their honesty. While cleaning out the air ducts, the technician pulled out a very dirty sock. He came to me and my husband with it and asked if it belonged to us. Our home was built in 1960 and has had several owners over the years. I immediately responded, "no". He asked again for clarification. Again, I responded no. He unfolded the sock to show us a wad of money. My husband and I had went downstairs due to the noise of his cleaning equipment. (we have a small child) He could have easily pocketed the money for himself and I would have NEVER known he found it. We really appreciated their honesty and gave them a "finders fee".
