Firehouse Chimney & Duct Clean aka Seymour Chimney

They were awesome. A very friendly and efficient lady set up the initial appointment for me.They called to confirm appointment the day before and then called a couple of times the day of to let us know that they were a little ahead of schedule in case we wanted them to come earlier (we did). The gentleman who arrived was friendly, fast, informative and tidy. We will definitely be calling on these folks again next year.

Hard to say what kind of service this company provides. They did not respond to phone messages or an email. We watned to give them a try based on past reviews. Are they still in business?

Great experience! Kent and his assistant showed up on time, explained their services, and inspected all 3 of our chimneys. Only one needed cleaning and we were not charged for the inspections ($100 for the cleaning). They were very thorough and left no mess in the living area where they cleaned. They also cleaned our air ducts in the living room and kitchen ($20/air vent) and gave me some good tips on how to maintain the cleanliness. I never got the sense or felt like they were pushing me into more than I needed, and he gave me lots of "free" advice too: showed me how to light my gas pilot and fireplace, fixed a damper handle that was backwards and other help. Will definitely use them again.

The Provider called me to schedule an appointment. The initial suggested time was not going to be convenient due to a planned visit out of town.We scheduled a later date. The provider showed up at the approximate time scheduled and performed the service, after I wrote a check for the additional amount beyond that paid through Angie's List. I did not start building a fire in the stove until recently at which I time I began to observe the quality of the draw provided.

When first they scheduled, he had a personal issue and had to cancel the appointment. Subsequently, we just had issues matching out schedules to find a time that worked for both of us. I wanted to have it done before Christmas, and they called and left a message to let me know that they had moved out of their air duct cleaning season and into their chimney sweep season. He said he couldn’t do it until January but I never heard back from them after that.

I called for an appointment to install a top mount chimney damper. The operator was professional and knowledgeable. She set up an appointment for ten days from the day I called. On the appointed day two people arrived right at the scheduled time. They inspected the chimney, inside and out, and quickly installed the cap using parts they carried in their truck. They also noted a previous repair that had been made incorrectly and told me it was holding for now but I may want to have it repaired properly in the spring. The entire service call took less than an hour. I had previously contracted with another installer who made three trips to measure and then return with the wrong parts before I cancelled the order.

I called and made an appt. for between 2-4 pm on Friday Jan. 7. Kent showed up at a little after 2 and inspected the chimney and found that it did not need cleaning. He was very proffesional and worked very cleanly. He also gave me some good information on maintaining my chimney.

A company representative called immediately after we requested the service through Angies List, and we set an appointment. The technician arrived on-schedule, and carefully explained the services he would provide. The inspection was thorough and well-documented. The cleaning was fast and effecicient. The technician refitted a chimney cap that had come loose in a recent wind storm at no additional charge. The service was excellent. I would recommend this company to everyone in their service area.

They were very friendly when we called and scheduled us for the next week. They were 15 minutes early and called to make certain that was o before they came. He was very professional and explained everything he was doing. There was absolutely no mess at all and took very little time. We will always call them when it is time for the next cleaning.

From the beginning, my experience with Seymour Chimney Cleaners was superb. Amy on the phone was very polite, friendly, and professional. Kent showed up promptly at the appointed time and courteously and professionally inspected and cleaned the chimney without leaving any mess at all. The only visible sign he had been here was the clean chimney. I highly recommend this firm to anyone in the area.

It went very well. The serviceman was very professional and courteous and he left the area where he was working clean.

Two people arrived at our home including the owner who is also a firefighter with one of the local fire departments. They carefully laid out a cloth in front of the fireplace to protect our carpet. They inspected the chimney and cleaned it. They also cleaned the glass front of the fireplace. The workers also discovered the trap door to the ash pit leading to the outside wall of the fireplace which we were previously unable to locate. (We moved into the home last year.) They picked up after themselves and left no mess. They were courteous and knowledgeable and we would definitely call on them again.

Company called to schedule the appointment. I was given a time but asked if it would be okay to call should the workers be running a little early and move up the time. Two men, one the owner, came early. The chimney was cleaned from the bottom up using a large vacuum and other tools as was the dryer vent. They were pleasant to speak with and went about their work. Odd things/complaints - neither wore shoe coverings over their boots; the second worker asked if I had a place to dump the fireplace ashes removed from the fireplace; and (I didn't notice this until after they left) debris from cleaning out the dryer vent was left in the yard and garden. I will not need a chimney cleaning for awhile. I am not opposed to using them again but really it depends on the cost and ratings next time I need the service.

Great! No worries! In this economy, a wood stove for heat can save money. The loss that could be experienced if you take the risk is not worth getting your chimney checked!

Both of my fireplaces inserts were thoroughly cleaned as well as the chimney.

Kent was very courteous and professional. He cleaned the chimney and the fireplace without disturbing anything else. He arrived on time, was quick but thorough in his work, and left without leaving a mess. Because we live outside his normal service area, he charged an additional $10 for gas.

It went very well and I recommend this company to anyone needing chimney service.

Overall very good. The only problem was not showing up when scheduled, however, when he couldn't fulfill his original appointment, he offered a Saturday appt., which was appreciated.

The price was reasonable. He was in and out. My husband was actually there during the time of the service and we would defiantly use them again.

Kent was punctual, thorough, attentive and professional. Took the time to explain in great detail everything we needed to know about our gas fireplace, walked us through the operation procedures and answered all our questions. Instilled a lot of confidence! We are pleased with the service rendered and very happy we can now safely use our fireplace in the upcoming winter months.
