Vent Masters

Chris was supposed to clean the air ducts, vents, and returns in a house we had just purchased.. Upon arrival at the home, he found that the condensation line was backed up and one of the return ducts was full of water. He contacted us and gave us a new price. The work was more extensive than he had estimated, but he went with the price he had quoted us. He was very thorough and made sure everything was in working order before he left. Chris did an awesome job and we will use his service again when needed.

Vent Masters said my home was outside their 50 mile radius service area but my home is well within that radius at 31 miles. I admit the driving mileage is 53 miles and if that is the criteria, they should change the website to say driving mileage instead of radius.

There were no troubles scheduling. The technician explained everything to me about the service and I did purchase additional cleaning services for the vents. They used a very large, heavy duty vacuum that hooks up to the vent for the job. The work took about four hours. From what I can tell, everything turned out well.

He arrived on time, showed me what was wrong, and gave me a fair price. His work was top notch and he finished the service within a half-hour. Courteous and polite, he knows his work thoroughly.

It went well. He was very professional and punctual. I have a dog with lots of fur and he let me know of some preventative maintenance that I could do as well.

Chris was wonderful! When I called to schedule an appointment, he was very prompt in answering and was even able to work me in as my job was considered smaller than many. He called the day of the appointment and gave me his estimated arrival time and was perfectly on time. He was professional, courteous and very well-mannered. There was a deal on Angie's List but I actually wanted to have a different service performed. He worked with me and my budget and gave me a great, fair price. He worked quickly and efficiently and answered all my questions without hesitation. I would highly recommend Chris Rhodes / Vent Masters again!

No work has been done yet, but they were willing to transfer the wrong service bought to one that I could use.

Chris got up on a ladder to our dryer vent, which is on the third floor outside. He was able to remove all the obstructions, which included at least three birds' nests plus lint and other objects. He returned my call almost immediately, he scheduled the time to come do the work and arrived exactly when he said he would. Not only did he get our vent completely cleaned out, but on his own, he actually fixed our laundry room doors which were out of alignment. Absolutely terrific job, we will use him again.

HORRIBLE! After listing three (3) dates and time of day to perform services for dry vent cleaning, I receive an e-mail to contact Vent Masters. I called Chris at Vent Masters shortly after receiving the e-mail to schedule an appointment. He said he was driving and asked it I would text him my name, telephone number, and service they would be performing. He said he would call me when he arrived at his next job. Chris did not call me back that day. He sent a text at 9:55PM stating he would call me tomorrow regarding my appointment. At 11:05AM the following day, Chris called and asked if it would be OK to come over now. He asked if the vent was on the main floor. I told him the vent was on the second story. He asked if I had a ladder he could use. He then asked me if anything was clogging the vent. I told him that it looked like a bird may have been trying to build a nest in there at one time, but the vent seemed to be clear. Chris then notified me that in addition to $99.00 (Special) I had already been charged for the cleaning of the vent, he would be charging me an additional $25.00 for the use of MY LADDER to clean the vent, as well as another $10.00 for the removal of a possible bird's nest. I told him these additional dollar amounts should have been listed on Angie's List, and he should buy his own ladder. I cancelled the appointment and went to Home Depot where I bought the Dundas Jafine ProClean Dryer Lint Removal Kit for $19.99. It did a WONDERFUL JOB and was so easy to use. I would not recommend, nor ever use, Vent Masters for any of my household needs in the future.

I called Chris in desperate need of a dryer vent cleaning. We just bought the home and didn't realize the maintenance on the house wasn't kept up to par. I called him mid afternoon close to the end of the work day. Chris worked with me and got out within the hour. And he came from Nashville and I live in Clarksville. He found many birds nests and cleaned all of them out. He then added a new vent with screens and fixed up my dryer duct! He was so kind and understanding and answered all of my questions. I own multiple homes and also flip houses and I plan on passing his card out to everyone I know and will only use Chris from now on!! He's the go to guy on any and all duct needs!!

This singular experience has validated every reason for me to join Angie's List. The reason Chris and Christopher were here was simply to clean out my air ducts that hadn't been done in years. The service they provided went well, well beyond any expectation that I had for them coming in. My only regret is that there isn't a higher grade available for Professionalism than an A, which doesn't appropriately reflect the reality. Chris went out of his way to ensure that they did the intended work, but was also able to identify some potentially dangerous situations that could have cost me my home. Shoddy workmanship by Turnberry, the builder, had caused years of problems under my house from the dryer that had years of lint being blown under my house creating a fire hazard. Chris is a wealth of knowledge and even showed me a couple of problems that were not even related to his role. While under the house using something other than duct tape to ensure that my dryer actually vented to the outside of my house and figure out another vent that the builder had never even connected creating an entrance for any type of creature to enter my home, he noticed that I had a plumbing leak that I didn't know about and will be using Angie's list to get that problem fixed ASAP. My reasons for joining Angie's list was to find an environment that I could locate reputable people to do work that I don't have the skill to perform. Finding someone that you know at the end of the day that you can trust creates loyalty. Integrity should be added as a category to rate providers on .... Chris would get an A+

Chris is an outstanding provider. He is very knowledgeable, skilled, and explains all work in great detail. He arrived on time, and spent the majority of the day working. I was very impressed with his ability to locate and address needed repairs. I plan to use his services again. I enthusiastically endorse this company to anyone needing duct cleaning and sanitation.

It went well. They did a real nice and thorough job. They weren't the cheapest for price but it was okay.

The service turned out good. We paid an additional amount, and then we bought a filter for which we paid an additional amount. We have used them in the past. They were prompt, efficient, and reasonable.

We wanted our vent cleaned within 24 hours before the new dryer arrived and Chris scheduled us promptly and showed up just when he said he would. Not only did he provide quick and efficient service, but he told me things about our particular vent that I did not know, such as its length and that it had two more bends than I had thought. That's good to know for future work. Throughout Chris's visit, he was friendly and professional. He did not try to talk us into buying extra services. There was no pressure, just courteous and thorough work. I would not hesitate to use his company again.

Chris contacted me on Monday and meet me on Tuesday. He did a very good job as there was lent and dead bird and birds nest blocking the vent. He installed a cover over the vent to keep the bird out, it was not part of the service call but added it as part of the service. Also clean up after work was done. I highly recommend Vent Masters and plan on using them in the future. Thanks Chris for a outstanding job.

The provider explained what he was going to do and how each step would help to clean and deodorize the vents. The Angies list price was $200 but the provider performed two additional functions that were each half price. When he was finished he cleaned up any mess that he had made, gathered up all of his tools, I paid him and he left. The whole operation took about two hours. He was very knowledgeable about allergies and clean air and told me about things that I could do to make the air quality in my home much better. Without being extremely critical, he let me know where things could be done better and what that would mean to me. I would recommend him to anyone who needs their vents cleaned and the air cleaned. He told me there were only two companies that did only vents and he was one of them. The others do things like cleaning carpets also.

Chris did a great job! He was very friendly and explained everything he was doing to me. I had never had our vents cleaned before, much less the condenser thingy in the basement, and he showed me what he was cleaning, how the unit worked, etc. He was here for probably 3 hours working on our system. He even pointed out areas where our duct system was not properly insulated and opportunities for efficiency improvement. I would definitely use him again.

I wasn't able to have him out due to scheduling issues with another provider who was refinishing my hardwood floors. I did have him out for an estimate once and I felt that he was just trying to upsell me the whole time he was out and trying to use scare tactics to get me to do the other proposed work.
