Description of Work: The A/C went out on a weekend. I left a message with the answering service and the technician called within 15 minutes. He came out, accessed the problem, and had it repaired and running within 30 minutes. He was also very accommodating to explain what exactly he was doing, and why the repair (part replacement) was necessary by explaining the function of the part.

Description of Work: In 2011 we had them service our heating/ac unit. We were told by the technician that they had to "condemn" our unit because it would leak carbon monoxide if turned on. That week the weather was predicted to be extremely cold. We were pressured by the sales person into buying a new Carrier unit. Fast forward to June 2014 and the blower on that unit failed. Although it was under warranty we still had to pay for the service call. Several weeks ago this blower unit begins making a very loud noise. Service technician tells us it is a sheet metal vibration that he fixed by tightening screws. A week later the unit is still making a loud noise. Now we are told it is the blower fan and we are out another service payment. Our second unit was not cooling in 2013 and this same company came out and said it needed to be replaced because the coils were damaged. I asked to see the damage and technician pulls out his phone and shows me a picture. I asked to see the inside of the unit and this technician does not even have a flashlight--we ended up having another company add refrigerant to this system. We eventually replaced the system but used another company. Based on our experience I do not recommend this company and once the blower is fixed I will use another company

After spotting the problem he researched the options for us and called his manager to come meet with us. We opted to go with a new, more efficient unit. The next day we had our unit installed. The installers were cordial, considerate, and steady at their task. We were happily satisfied with their services. | |"

Description of Work: Installed new heating and air replacing original unit. Major problem at first because installer (we found out later) had evidently dropped the unit and damaged an internal part before installlation. This resulted in water going outside catch pan and damaging flooring and insulation in attic as well as ceiling below in living room. They did correct the situaiton. It is my understanding this installer is no longer with them. Then, the unit they installed was too small for the house. They replaced this at an additional cost for the difference in the 2 units. End result was good.

Description of Work: Called them and the after hours service took my call - I told the lady that my a/c was out and I wanted a free estimate . She then took my info and had a tech call me right away . The tech asked where I was located and what was the problem and would be by in the morning. He stopped by and right away started diagnosing the unit . Then told me what the problem was , I asked if all of this was part of the free estimate I had requested ? He said that the service fee for coming out was 90.00 and to fix unit was another 270.00 - and that the company would be contacting me to claim the service fee ? I am not at all happy and told him I just wanted free estimate - I will not be using there services - scam ! The answering service or tech should have told me that it was overtime weekend charge

Description of Work: I was scheduled for work to begin on my unit and waited 2 days for my appointment date. Two hours before they were due to show up they called to say they would not be doing my job. The reason another company had installed my unit last year and the owner stated, "I will not follow up on work 1st Call Mechanical has started." I told him way did it take 2 days for you to let me know this, I could have had someone else out that wanted to work. He had no comment and we parted ways, all this happened during the recent heat wave. Caution when using this company....They can not be counted on!

Description of Work: Last year I had to have a reversing valve replaced that costed about $800. Latter last year a fuse went out and that was $100. This year I had to get a new compressor. The worker, Mark, was great. He found out the compressor I had was still under warranty and saved me about $1300. He has done all my work on all the jobs. He has come to the house at least 5 or 6 times in the past year since I bought this old house and while it is a lot of money, the prices were fair, too.
