it went well, we did have to call for a second visit to determine the reason for breaker continuing to trip. Had to disconnect the light and decide on further analysis and estimate of future repair.

I've used Barnes before to install some floodlights. On Saturday, they performed a complete house electrical inspection and got some outside lights working. They also fixed an exhaust fan in the attic. They showed up on time (7AM) and were done quickly. They are honest, hard working and dependable. The prices are very reasonable. I will definitely use them again!

James was on time, courteous and thorough when he came out to quote. When performing the work he and his crew were efficient and neat. They did an excellent job and we are extremely happy with the results. We highly recommend Barnes Electric.

We have used Barnes Electric in the past with great results. They are professional, courteous, and do a fantastic job. This time the job had a hitch (I forgot to get an extension for my ceiling fan) and the guys waited patiently while I ran to the store to get one. They are the best. Would definitely recommend them.

Called James in the morning in regard to having a 110 outlet installed to provide power for gas cooktop . James was able to come out within about 1 hour of me calling him. They were fantastic. They replied back quickly after we purchased the deal. They were always quick to respond. I was very pleased with their correspondence. The impression I get is that they go the extra mile for their customers. They go out of their way to understand any complaints and address them quickly. It was like we were speaking with a friend. It was very comfortable. Their responses were more than you would expect from someone you haven’t even met. When I'm ready to do this electrical job, they will be the first one we call!

Mr. Barnes and his crew (David) showed up on time and put the shoe covers on the shoes inside house. They were very professional and efficient. They were polite and pleasant. Mr. Barnes' answers to my questions about possible work in the future were very helpful.

It was truly an awesome experience. I went through angie's list to schedule an appointment. Within minutes, I got a response back on Angie's list that he would be calling me and then I actually got a call. He was in between appointments, so was at my house within 30 minutes and 30 minutes later my light was fixed. Best experience I have had with a contractor in Nashville to date. I would highly recommend calling if you have any electrical issues. You will be treated with respect and professionalism and will be very happy with the results.

Mr. Barnes and his team performed a very thorough inspection. The trucks were clearly lettered, the men wore uniforms, they were very professional, and courteous. We were pleased with their prompt service.

I needed an older home (1950s) to be rewired so it complies to current codes. Especially since I was ditching the old wall heaters and having a new central heat/ac unit installed. From coordinating with the AC guy to handling necessary permits, Barnes Electric went above and beyond my exceptions. There is just really not enough room to completely describe everything James Barnes and crew did for this house. All work was performed professionally and with an obvious well rounded knowledge and respect for their craft. The end result is a 65 year old house with ALL brand new wiring that includes ALL new ceiling fixture boxes, ALL new wall outlets, ALL new light switches, two new hardwired smoke detectors and a brand new breaker box. He even threw in a couple of exterior outlets!! I couldn't be more pleased.

Mr. Barnes and his two employees (Mario and another gentleman) arrived on time and performed their services perfectly, even after discovering the tile underneath the kitchen island. (That was one of those "unknown unknowns" that always seem to arise with new home ownership!) He also had one of his electricians properly ground another receptacle in our shed while he worked in the kitchen and crawl space. He even offered to give me a $100 discount just because he got a few tiny, imperceptible nicks on the island, which I did not think was necessary...he didn't nickel and dime me, so I wasn't going to do that to him, either. I'd definitely use them again!

Wonderful experience working with James and his team. Right from the start, he was responsive to my initial request, emailing me back early in the morning before I even went to work on my first inquiry (12/15). He was able to make our first appointment to provide an estimate within 3 days of initial contact and completed the work within my scheduled timeframe. He and his team were on time last Saturday (12/27), explained the options I had for arranging the lights and completed all the work the same day. He also was able to provide a reference to me to complete the sheetrock work. Definitely will use Barnes Electric in the future for all my electrical needs.

James responded promptly to an email late one evening -9-930 pm probably,when I requested an estimate. He came by within the next couple of days, letting me know when he was running a few minutes late. He gave me a discount because he was late, even though they kept me well informed. We scheduled the installation within a few days. He arrived promptly. James and crew took down the old, installed the new one, and then patiently put on all the crystals, using gloves so as to not stain them (he explained how important it was not to touch crystals with your bare hands). James and crew took their time, and the chandelier looks amazing. I am so pleased. I had called another electrician on Angie's List who didn't call me back. I know the really good ones are busy and hard to reach, so I try to be patient. I usually give it 2-3 tries. But, James emailed me back within a few minutes. He is a really nice, honest guy. Start to finish, PERFECT! I received a call back from my Angies List email within minutes, schedule the next available day! James and his crew were at my home promptly to tackle 3 jobs (2 were over two stories up!) and kind enough to call when they were on the way! They were prompt, discussed the pricing before starting any repairs and finished in a little over an hour! They made the process very easy on this stressed out lady who has many guests coming in a week! I will definitely use these gentleman again! Thanks Barnes Electric!

I rarely write bad reviews. We are all human and make mistakes. I'm doing this so the company can take this advice and make it better for others. I had a list of 5 items, I had to wait a week for the service call. Upon arrival, I was told only one of the 5 items could be accomplished today because of lack of parts and scheduling issues, I was told I had to wait another week. I noticed another review in which that person had Sunday service, I was never given that option and was told no work is performed on the weekend. I had to request time away from work and basically wasted an entire afternoon.

They were very prompt in returning my call - very impressive. Workers showed up the next day on time and used shoe covers to protect our floors. Very professional and got the job done. These are professionals that I will call on next time I need electrical help. Great job!
