We had had Barnes Electric out to our house for quotes before but had never used them. I was so impressed by their professionalism on their first visit they were the first ones on my mind for the electrical work that I needed done in my basement. Some outlet boxes had rusted due to some moisture in the walls and before we closed the walls up again we wanted to replace them with plastic outlet boxes rather than metal ones. I called Barnes Electric and they sent someone over first thing the very next morning! He got here right on time and before he walked into the house put those little booties over his shoes to protect my floors. I really appreciate that. It just showed such appreciation for their clients' homes. He looked at our boxes and did not have the right size plastic outlet boxes in his truck so he actually went to hardware store to find some for us right then and there! He came back and replaced 3 outlet boxes and some of the damaged wiring in less than an hour! While he was here I also asked if he could help us install a light in our foyer that was too high for us to reach. He did that as well in a matter of minutes. That task would have taken my husband and myself hours and would not have been a fun experience so I was so glad that he was able to handle that for us. I would call Barnes Electric again and again. They aren't as close as some other companies but they are fantastic and are willing to drive to their customers. The are super professional and responsive! I would highly recommend to all!

James was extremely responsive. He arrived on the day I contacted him, was very professional and completed the job promptly and efficiently. Before each outlet and switch he replaced/fixed, he gave me the price up front and allowed me to make the decision as to whether to proceed with the work. As others have noted, James wore protective coverings over his shoes to not track dirt into the house, which was very appreciated. I certainly will call James again if the need arises. He is not only good at his job, but also is a very friendly and likeable guy.

Installation was fine and the people curteous.

They came and gave me an estimate. Came back 2 days later. They were up in the attic and down in the basement without making a racket. We were not disturbed at all while they were here. The work was completed that day. Very happy with the quality.

We contacted the company right after purchasing our Big Deal. Although we expected to have to wait for an appointment, he was able to schedule us the next day. He arrived promptly and did a very professional job. We appreciated his friendliness and would not hesitate to use this company again for future needs.

They were great! Very professional and helpful. Mr. Barnes took the time to carefully answer all of our questions and had smart ideas about improving the lighting in our house by using LEDs. We will definitely call him in the future and feel relieved to have finally found a great electrician.

There was an Angie's list deal going on with this company to install two prewired light fixtures for $99 so I thought I would check them out for that and a quote for a 110v circuit for a pump we were thinking of getting. When they showed up they looked very professional and even put booties over their shoes before they walked in the house! They gave me very reasonable quotes and even an additional discount just for being an Angie's list member! Gotta love that! We never got the pump so there was no need for the 110v circuit anymore but we are hanging onto their number for any electrical work in the future.

To expensive...contracted with another company

Barnes Electric came up on a Google search. I called for an estimate and James was out within a few days.. He priced out all the components i wanted and gave me price by email. The work was done about a week later and it looks and operates beautifully. The work is exactly as he promised and exactly what we wanted. James and an associate had the installation done in about 3 hours with no muss, no fuss. They took all their trash with them and ieft the area just as it had been. I was so impressed with their professionalism. They even put on paper booties over their shoes before coming into my home. Such attention to detail seems to be a habit with them. I am very pleased with the company and the work they did.
