Horrible customer service!

They gave an accurate estimate and showed up on time every day. The guys doing the work are very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. It took them 2 days to perform all the work but it was quite a bit of work to begin with so that was expected. When they were finished the electric panel was completely labeled (each breaker had a detailed label of what it was connected to) and plenty of room to upgrade in the future. Also they installed an outside box (unexpected but very nice) so that there was a main shutoff switch outside and room for 7 breakers in case we needed outside wiring like outside lights or sprinkler system. All in all they did a solid job and I am having additional work done by them for re-wiring my work/tool room which I would like on arc-fault protection with grounded circuits as well. I also recommended them to my brother and sister in law where they also replaced the electric panel and weather main because they had sustained significant damage due to a storm that passed through. They were also both very happy with the end result of the job.

I called to get an estimate on a major renovation project in my home, and a minor one in my office. I never got a call back, so can't say how good they might have been. All I know is they never returned my call or sent someone to give me an estimate. Disappointing.

In June, a tree fell in our neighbor's yard, taking out the transformer for our neighborhood and literally ripping the power and cable lines from our house. However, I didn't realize how extensive the damage was on our end until mid-July. I immediately called several electric companies, of which Helton was the only one that responded. Our area was still recovering from the April tornadoes, so not hearing back from busy contractors was entirely too common, yet understandable. Helton got back to us within a day, and arranged a time within the next couple of days to stop by the house and give us a free estimate. We were so impressed with their thoroughness and professionalism that, after clearing the charges with our insurance, we decided to use their services. On the day of the service, they arrived at 7:30 AM as they said they would, and the work went very smoothly. They looked and acted professionally, and were done by about 2:30 PM. I had to go to work right before the job was completed, and they called me on my cell phone to update me a couple of times on the progress. They cleaned up after themselves as well. All in all, my husband and I were very pleased with the work, and would definitely consider using them again in the future. The only reason they did not receive an "A" on price was that, despite trying, we did not get any other quotes. Our insurance did not object to the price on the repair, and what research I was able to conduct indicated their pricing was in line, possibly a little high, but not out of the norm. It was definitely worth it given the level of service we received!

When they first came in they gave me an estimate that was the amount of the charge, and they offered to paint the exposed area that was damaged by smoke.

If it were not for him, I wouldn't have known what needed to be done, I was very pleased with him. There were a few things that he could do and he did all that. He went and talked to my neighbor and found out that they were having the same problem. He found out what the problem was for everybody on the block. He could have come out and made it my problem, but he didn't and he was honest. All he charged me was for making the trip. He walked me through what I needed to do to get the problem corrected and what to do with the power company. He helped us get the problem fixed.

They do good work. They asked if there was anything more for them to do to fill the time limit which I thought was nice. They have a really good company, they seem to be honest people, and they knew exactly what they were doing.

They were very very good. I think their price is very reasonable.

They had a higher bid and I cannot afford for anybody else to do the work right now. The experience was okay. They got back to me right away after I called them.

The technicians that handled the panel replacement were very courteous, and professional. They did very well in cleaning up after themselves, as well. We were very impressed with their work. Our only concern was with the quote process, and the length of time it took to hear back. Of course, the recent storms and having to wait for information to come back from EPB had everything to do with that. An update call would have been nice while waiting.

It went well with few problems. They had to install a new switch for the attic lights which added a bit of time and expense.

They were really nice, punctual and in and out. They charge by the hour and they were done in less than an hour, they did what we asked them to do. They were very professional and very good.

The electrician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Since the company charges by the hour, he asked if there was anything else he could do for me, since he hadn't used up the whole hour. I didn't need anything else, but I was impressed that he asked. He could have just taken the check and gone to have breakfast or something. I really like this company. They are professional, very nice, punctual, and skilled. I will always use them when I need electrical work.
