Description of Work: They replaced my heat/air system. They arrived on time and work was completed by mid-afternoon. They gave me a briefing on how the new system worked and made sure I was familiar with the new system's controls. Very professional.

Description of Work: I got several estimates to replace my downstairs AC/gas furnace combination and upstairs AC/gas furnace combination with a downstairs Heat Pump and new upstairs AC - keeping the existing gas furnaces. Cooks COMFORT Systems (not plain Cooks) was the most professional and had a very competitive estimate for a Trane system (the brand I preferred). The office staff is friendly and efficient and the estimator very professional. The work was done properly. Unfortunately, I had problems with the Trane units themselves (turns out there are things that can stop a Trane - like bad parts). Cooks Comfort Systems was very responsive and went to bat for me with Trane to get repairs covered at no charge. After two episodes, I bought an extended service warranty to go with the existing extended parts warranty because it looked like the problems might persist. Because Cooks helped with this process, I got the warranty after the period of time that I normally would have been eligible to get it. I have nothing but good things to say about these folks. Trane, on other hand is a different story.

Description of Work: Service performed was part of purchase agreement. This was basic seasonal service on a Fujitsu wall mounted heat pump. Service has always been excellent. However, given a timeline of arrival of 10-12 PM service man did not arrive until 1:25 PM. Only notification was call at 12:50 PM that he was on his way. He arrived erroneously expecting to service a Rheem furnace. Service performed was done in proper, professional manner. Please note that this vendor also appears on Angie's List as Cooks Comfort Svc and Cooks Air Conditioning. Multiple entries are confusing. Suggest that addresses be checked and duplicates eliminated.

+ -1 more2 The second job they repaired a unit on a rental house They sent an inexperienced tech to work on my equipment. He blew a transformer on my unit and was unable to repair it. So they sent out another tech to fix it and charged me for 2 trips plus I was charged for the transformer they burned up. 3 They did some warranty work on the 21 month old Trane unit I had purchased from them. I called them after hours on a Friday and spoke with the tech on call. I described the problem and I was told my fan was broke and needed replacing. He told me that he could not get a fan till Monday and took my model number so he could pick up a fan and repair it. On Monday when I called Cooks Comfort I ask what time to expect a repairman and told them he had told me on the phone on Friday the fan was bad and he needed to bring a fan. When they came they did not bring a fan, I was told they had to come out and diagnose it. It cost $75 for them to come and tell me my fan was bad and another $125 to install
Description of Work: 1 The first job they did was install a new heat and air unit. 2 The second job was repair a unit. The LAST job they have done is warranty work.
