Two Maids & A Mop

Work included the bathroom, guest bedroom, kitchen, formal dining, great room, stairs and foyer.

This is the third cleaning service I've tried off of Angies list. I had bad experiences with the other two and was hestiant to even try another company. Two maids and a mop was great! They were very thorough in scheduling my appointment and made sure I understood all of the terms of the agreement. They also made sure they understood exactly what I needed. They were able to clean the day after I called them, which made me happy. They showed up early! I was thrilled! They were about 5 minutes early. After other companies didn't show or call, or showed up over an hour late, I was so impressed that they were early. The maids spoke English, so I was able to communicate easily. They were friendly. They walked through the house and made sure they understood my expectations. After cleaning, they did another walk through with me and made sure I was happy and nothing was missed. Overall, it was a great experience! Their price was a couple dollars cheaper than any other company and very competitive. I'm very happy with what I received and would suggest them to anyone. I will definitely use them again.

They arrived on time and introduced themselves and after I gave them a brief tour of the house they started cleaning. They were very professional and personable along with being excellent cleaners. I was impressed with the total job but I knew my Wife would be the best inspector when she got home. My wife was not sure she wanted strangers in the house cleaning but after she saw the job they did she was very pleased. She just kept finding little things they did that made the job A-1, she said this morning that they even cleaned our dog door. Needless to say we look forward to a long term relationship with Two Maids and a Mop, it is so refreshing to find a company that actually lives up to there advertising and in my opinion exceeded it. Overall a good result. But I had to monitor progress and point out things that were missed. But that said, the crew was very responsive and courteous, and anything I pointed out was quickly remedied/addressed.

Went well although my husband and I were confused about the type of service we scheduled. I should have printed that off before they came. They were very cooperative and we got through the confusion.

Arrived at promised time, went to work and did a very good job in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks for a good job well done! The apartment had not been cleaned in quite some time.

The 2 ladies arrived and after a short walk through of the house they started right to work. One started in the kitchen and the other upstairs to the master. They were pleasant and very professional. They were quiet...I hardly knew they were there and my cats were not alarmed by them. They took a short break--maybe 10 minutes at the most. They were very respectful of all of our belongings. I was thrilled with the results and we will start a regular service!

They do a good job and are prompt, reliable and professional. I've had them in my home now 4-5 times. I highly recommend this company.

Our home is 2700 square feet and we have two cats, two dogs, and a previous housekeeper who barely skimmed the surface at best. Two Maids and a Mop did a fantastic job and we are going to hire them to come every other week from now on. When I came home from work and saw and smelled the house I was amazed. I bet it has not been this clean in years (if ever).

But overall the team does a good job and with a positive, comfortable attitude. Which I completely appreciate.

My disabled sister lives with my wife and I, my wife is also disabled and sometimes the house gets ahead of us. This was right before the holidays and we needed some help. I checked out all the house cleaning companies on Angies list and chose "Two Maids and a Mop" I went to their website and downloaded the (2) two list of cleaning duties and talked with a rep at the company. I found out they did not do laundry, so I know this up front, however they were to change the bed clothes and clean one bedroom, den, kitchen and one bath, the other two bedrooms and bath they were no to do. They pulled the sheets off the one bed and did not put on the clean set . They swept the den floor but did not sweep or dust under the TV stand which is 6 - 8 inches off the floor and you can see the dust under there. I told them I would move the couches when they were ready so they could do the entire floor they never asked and just swept around them. None of the kitchen counters or appliances were wiped off as they were to be, the sliding glass door to the patio was not cleaned (also on the list). We have a small 24" ceiling fan in the kitchen and a larger one in the den. These were to be dusted and were never touched. I complained to the company, they apologized and there was no charge.

I have been using Two Maids & A Mop for a few months now, on a weekly basis, and I have to say I am totally satisfied with them. Although the same two people don't come every week, I like all the ones I have met. They are friendly and efficient. I recommend the company highly!

This is the second day I have had Two Maids in to clean. Different people came the second day from the first, but all were extremely professional, and did a wonderful job! I have four big dogs and a very messy house, and I know it wasn't easy for them!

I've been using this service for about 5 months now and they have always done an excellent job. Setting up service was incredibly easy. Anytime I have had to call to ask a question, the person on the other end was knowledgeable and friendly.

Lynn and Anna arrived a few minutes early with all of their gear. After confirming with me what rooms were to be cleaned and how, they started in the back of the house and worked their way up to the kitchen and basement. The bed was made, (I had told them the sheets did not need to be changed) furniture dusted and bathroom off the main bedroom was scrubbed. The bedroom and hall were swept and vacuumed. The basement was swept then they moved to the kitchen. The counters were wiped down and the floor swept and mopped. They finished off by mopping their way through the den to the door. Not only was the cleaning first rate, but Lynn and Anna were great to deal with. They were professional and very nice too. I got to talk with them several times and hope they return again!

Overall the ladies were very polite and friendly. The bathrooms were cleaned first then the bedroom. They made the bed up and straightened things, including dusting. All floors were swept & mopped including the kitchen. They finished up cleaning the den, dusting all flat surfaces and mopped their way out. All in all, an excellent job.

They did a great job. They are very thorogh and ask exactly what you need. I've used them twice in the past and they show me where they've scrubbed.

The service has never been great but in the past it was acceptable. The most recent team who came to clean the house did a rotten job. They were asked specifically to dust the bookshelves in the master bedroom which were untouched. The bathrooms were not particularly clean. Even though I pay extra for "vertical" cleaning, the window sills, cabinets, glass doors, blinds, etc. were completely ignored. The stainless steel refrigerator was "cleaned" but streaks were left all over the front (I had to clean it twice to remove all the streaks). I will not be using two maids and a mop again and I would not recommend them to anyone.

They arrived on time, then they had do get past my dog - a very protective Australian Shepherd - but after an ears scratching session,he seemed to warm to the them so, hopefully he didn't get in the way. They both seemed to start in the bedroom, making up the bed, and then moved to the small half bathroom in the master bedroom. Then one (I wished I had made a huge difference remembered their names) moved to the kitchen and started working in the kitchen. Then they started sweeping the upstairs and down.On my walk through, I noticed that they,had done more actually cleaning, such as wiping down the walls with a long duster, that made a huge difference in the bath. Again this was the best cleaning we'd had since the deep cleaning.I have been so happy with this service, I recommended them to my parents, who have hired them to work at their house!!

I had approximately 6 cleanings that are biweekly. The housecleaning is good, although there is not continuity in cleaners. In the six cleanings that I have had, I have never had the same two cleaners. Two Maids and a Mop Review Update: The quality of service began to wane after several cleanings were performed. I never, not even once, had continuity in my cleaners. I believe this is an extremely important aspect of cleaning homes. It is important to develop a trusting relationship with your cleaners, because these people are entering your sanctuary every two weeks. Two weeks or so before I committed to terminating the service, I came home and smelled gas. The cleaning service notified me when they initially arrived at my home, although I wasn't present at the time. So, when I smelled gas, I knew that it had to have been about 1-2 hours since the cleaners had most likely left my house. I freaked out!!! The cleaners had either bumped my gas stove knob or something, because when I came in the house, the propane smell was overpowering. I immediately looked at the stove, one the knobs was turned all the way up to high, except for the fact that the burner was not lit. So, propane gas was dispersed into the air. I opened all of the windows, phoned my husband, and then I immediately called management. I explained that this was a very, very serious occurrence and could have caused serious harm. I stated that my husband and I were gone, so there was no other explanation. I explained that it had to be the cleaning service incidentally turning on the gas stove. I ensured management that I understood how this could absolutely be an accident, but that this didn't excuse the magnitude this incident... not by any means. I insisted that the manager call a meeting with her entire staff to explain the safety risk that this posed to my family and insisted she should educate her staff about the proper handling of gas stoves. I encouraged her to educate her staff to always validate that the knobs of gas stoves (if the client has a gas stove) are in the OFF position after cleaning the kitchen and immediately prior to exiting the home when cleaning is completed. Management did give me feedback about a week later and ensured me that a meeting was called, conducted, and that her staff was educated on this occurrence. Management was very apologetic about the circumstances. The cleaning performance began to get worse and there was never continuity, even though I explicitly expressed this desire to the management team several times. I had had enough when the company sent in a woman who was dressed very unprofessionally. She appeared very disheveled, had uncovered tattoos, and her behavior was rather speculative. Don't get me wrong, I am not against tattoos, as I have them as well, but I do believe if you are entering someone's home you should look as professional as possible. You don't want a client to automatically get a stereotypical first impression of your staff due to uncovered tattoos, unkempt appearance, and unprofessional behavior. I contacted the home office in Nashville and asked for my services to be discontinued. The management was very nice, thoughtful, and approachable over the phone. The manager was very apologetic and understood my concerns. She stated that she had just taken the job as the new manager and that they were in the middle of "revamping" the team. She pleaded for me to just wait for the change (that she promised was coming) and give them another chance. As I had already voiced my concerns continually to the management team and as how most had gone unaddressed, I decided to terminate services.The manager was truly trying to convince me to stay, although, surprisingly, she never gave me any incentive. She didn't offer a discount, a free cleaning, and she never could guarantee continuity of staff on a bi-weekly basis. The one thing that I did thoroughly enjoy about their service was that after each cleaning, you would receive an e-mail rating your cleaning experience for that week. They were very good about contacting you if you have any negative comments. Although, what good is the rating system, if your concerns and complaints continually go unaddressed?

Very well. Some minor things are missed on occasion (dust behind T.V., microwave oven, spots on the hardwood, etc.).

after they arrived, they started at the front of the house and worked back as usual. I tried to stay out of the their way by doing laundry and ironing in the end part of the house and took my dog back there with me so he wouldn't bark and stay out from under foot. They did the usual cleaing services, sweeping & mopping the floors in the kitchen and den, then moved to the full bath down the hall, making way mopping down the hall, then cleaning the masterbedroom and the small bath off of it.while one finished the upstairs, the other girl went downstairs and swept and mopped the basement, which pretty much is all it needed,since that is where we feed the cats and keep the litter boxes.After a few minutes they called me up the see if everything was to my liking, but they has already packed up most of the cleaning supplies so I just let it go. I had asked tem to pay special attention to an area around the doorjamb where the dog rubs up agaist it and the walls on either side. They only cleaned a small area directly on the jamb, but ignored the obviously dirty spots on the door and walls. I hope this doesn't come off as nitpicking, but it's the first time I've ever had to grade any less than straight A's. I still look forward to having them come in every week and do the excellent job I've gotten used to.

I found the service and people to be as excellent as it was last time.
