Two Maids & A Mop

These 3 maids show up and hr. early and divide cleaning areas. The girl that cleaned master bedroom never cleaned or mopped floor or never touched bathroom. The maid that did next bedroom shut door and never did anything else. My hardwood floors had streaks and areas missed completely. The kitchen maid clearly didn't know how to clean stainless steel appliances. My fee was 415.00 for a job not even half done. When photos sent in to Supervisor she said, one maid was in training. I believe their AD states trained maids. This company is a rip off and their quality of work is lousy. Think twice. They lied to me about what services they would do for deep clean. I had to redo myself. Sorry company that doesn't care.

I paid $455 for a deep clean. The staff came while I was at work (which is what I arranged) so I am unsure of the total amount of time that was spent at my home. When I got home, it was late in the evening and I just did a quick spot check to see that they did everything they were supposed to. The next day, I quickly realized that they had missed some things that were to be a part of the deep clean. The windows and blinds were supposed to have been cleaned but were not touched. Also, they used stainless steel cleaner to clean my stainless steel kitchen trashcan. It looked as if the product was put on the trash can but never wiped off. Then to my surprise, my wood table and one of the chairs in the kitchen also had the same product on it that the trashcan had. I called the company and explained what I had found. They asked for me to send photos, which I did and they recognized that their staff had also used the stainless steel cleaner on my wood table. They have offered to have my table and chairs refinished, which I have sent them an invoice for and am waiting on them to take care of it. They also came back out the next day and completed the deep cleaning by cleaning the windows and blinds. A few days later, I noticed that they had used cleaner in my self cleaning oven. I only realized this when I went to turn the oven on and my kitchen quickly became very smoking from the oven burning off that cleaner. I alerted the company about this as well and told them that a self cleaning oven (at least mine) does not require any cleaner to be used. Overall, I feel that the staff who came out did a rush job. Their cleaning was ok but really not up to my standards. For a deep cleaning service, I expected a spotless home but was disappointed that I did not receive that. The company has been good to work with regarding my table thus far but I am looking forward to having that behind me. The company also offered to come back out and take care of areas that I did not feel were up to standard but by that point I was just over the whole situation and was not interested.

The first day they showed up and supposedly did the cleaning. It was the worst excuse for a cleaning I have ever seen. They came back the next day and re cleaned, It was better this time, but not anything I would call a move in deep clean. They do not move large objects which I knew, so I moved the refrigerator and stove out and they did clean behind them for me which was good. They were also supposed to clean in and out of cabinets, which they did after I moved the cleaning supplies that were under the sink. I get not moving large appliances, but not moving small cleaning supplies....come on. The tops of the showers were not cleaned and I had to point that out to them so they would clean them when they came back. They say they don't climb to clean, but they send tiny girls with a 2 foot stool, so anything above 6 ft was pretty much left uncleaned. No ceiling fans were cleaned, no light fixtures, none of the trim above the doors, virtually the top half of the house was left uncleaned. This "move in cleaning" is a joke, what good does it do to pay for a good cleaning before you move in, if half the house is untouched. To top it off, whatever was used to clean my laminate floors, caused them to curl up at the edges of a lot of boards. There is no way I can possibly prove they caused it, but I have many people who have helped remodel that couldn't believe what happened only 2 days after they were there the first time. I am sure I won't get a return phone call to the message I left for them. We spent 2 more days cleaning what they didn't so it was a complete waste of money. All in all, if you need a good cleaning, DO NOT USE 2 MAIDS.

Overall I was pleased with the service. A few things surprised me including that they didn't appear to move some smaller items to get all the pet hair and that they didn't vacuum under the couch which is pretty easy to get to. I had to do some spot cleaning after I got home, which I wouldn't expect with a deep clean. I also noticed the curtains were still pretty dusty. Otherwise the tables, blinds, stairs, mirrors and kitchen looked great. These are all things I hate to clean so seeing them nice and clean was refreshing. I look forward to seeing how they do with cleanings in the future.

I have been using your service for about 6 months now and I can't tell enough people how pleased I am with the results. Our cleaning team (for this visit, it was Melanie and Sheri) does a wonderful job - it's always so nice to come home to such a clean house, especially since they take care of little things that I wasn't even expecting. If I have any dishes by the sink, those are washed and dried, the towels hanging up are always folded with some sort of flair, and the beds always look so nice with all the pillows and blankets arranged nicely.

Overall, the cleaning was adequate. There was quite a bit of dust left over right after the cleaning. The major problem was that my office desk was ruined with some cleaning product that left a stain which looked like and oily stain. After numerous emails and sending pictures, this is still unresolved. The company is stating that they did cause the stain but it was noticed after I got back from my trip. I am in the process of getting an estimate to repair or replace my office desk. Also, the company charged my credit card for two amounts that were not a part of the contracted amounts. I would not recommend them.

This service is so wholly unacceptable, unprofessional and a complete waste of money and time. I used them for approximately 3 months and "NEVER" in that 2 1/2 months did they do a thorough job on the house. Each time a number of things were left undone or done so poorly, a 5 year old could have done a better job. The girls were young, inexperienced, inattentive, disstracted much of the time with personal things and never completed the jobs. Actually had to clean things after they supposedly cleaned. I even contacted the owner of the franchise at one time, who said she will work on it and make sure they paid more attention. But, it only seemed to get worse after that. Additionally, they never had a set time, it was all over the board so we could never really plan things around it. Additionally, they just failed to call and let me know one week if they were coming at all. I had no idea and had to leave a message to see if we were even on the schedule. Examples of things left undone over the 3 months: --ALWAYS left crumbs, dust bunnies etc on floors; always had to ask them to redo and still there were things. I don't expect perfect, but you would think they would see the crumbs on the floor by the cabinets and they never moved a single piece of furniture so cobwebs galore underneath. --frequently, left things undone in the bathroom, different each time, sometimes did not clean floor around toilet, sometimes left black water marks on shower; rarely did they wipe out the sink after they emptied the water so always had soap film on sink drain. --often forgot to empty one of the trash cans; different rooms, not always the same one; and would forget to empty shredder which we asked for; when they did empty, they created a huge mess on the floor because they were careless and shreds went everywhere. Then, when they vacuumed, they failed to get all the pieces. So frustrating having to clean after they "cleaned." --Rarely did they get everything on the floors when vacuuming. Wow, Really! --OFTEN, when one of the girls was here, she spent the "ENTIRE" and I do mean the entire time on her cell phone handling personal things or talking with someone. DO YOUR PERSONAL STUFF ON "YOUR" TIME NOT MY PAID TIME! Really this one was frustrating and really ticked me off, because I'm paying her to clean and she's focused on her own stuff. REALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. And you could always tell which areas she cleaned. WOW!!! Finally, I had enough and talking with the owner made no difference. So, I contacted them by email to inform them that we were discontinuing service and why. But, they never once, responded in any way to say they were sorry, or ask about further details so they could improve. NOTHING. Honestly, I've had various services over the years as we've lived in 8 different states and by far they are the WORST! Period. They are 100% a complete waste of money and it was clear they did not care at all about me as a customer.

I was contacted the day before they came with the exact timeframe of their arrival. The day of I was contacted by my cleaning lady and she endured that she had he correct house and also asked if there was anything I needed. She cleaned everything. I am so thrilled with the care that she took with my home. I left sheets out and she made the bed for me. I am extremely pleased with the service I was provided.

In three months, there was only one cleaning that was acceptable. We purchased the bi-weekly "premium" cleaning. The maids routinely failed to do all of the things listed on that cleaning. The fans and blinds were rarely (if ever) dusted. The sink of dishes they were supposed to wash were not washed, they were rinsed and put in the dishwasher (which contained clean dishes). The floors were often either not vaccuumed or they were sloppily done. Each week we had new/additional issues. The last cleaning was so bad we requested a refund, but that request was denied, although they did offer to reperform the services for that week to make it right. Given the history of the past cleanings, we are going to decline that offer and look for a different provider.

After a week worth of "researching" here on Angie's list for the right cleaning service I settled on Two maids and a mop. They were great to work with. Very professional on the phone, answered all my questions, gave me straight up pricing with set limitations for my needs. Scheduled a date and time that fit with my schedule and called the day before to confirm our time frame. The morning of a team of 2 women showed up with all supplies, a smile and a very professional manner. I showed them the house, the spaces to clean and they got to work. As they were cleaning and I was supervising completed areas anything that was not done to my satisfaction was taken care of right then and there with no complaints. Overall they did a great job and I will use them again. I was very pleased with my very first Angie's List Provider, it was well worth the annual membership fee.

At the beginning, things started off rocky. The first day, the maids left with our trash in tow! Worried about the potential for identity theft, we contacted the manager, Andrea. She explained that the maids are instructed to take the trash in their car if they are unable to find the trash can. Well, we were here and we also live in the city of Nashville. So, they could have asked where the trash bin was located, though it is by the alley like most trash cans in the city. Apologies were accepted and we moved on. The next week, the trash was stacked on the back porch, and the third week the trash was put in the recycle bin because it was closer. We called again, and were assured it would not happen again. Now a couple of months into "second" chances with the trash, we moved on to giving some feedback on our preferences. Don't use furniture polish on the expensive bed side tables. That worked for a while. Please be sure to dust - and to get the cobwebs from the corners of the ceiling. No luck - the cobwebs continued to build until we cleaned them. Please be sure to polish the stainless steel island - no problem, we were told. Fortunately, we have video and could see that there was a quick spray with a general cleaner and then streaks abound, move on the to next client. We then began noticing that our own supplies began to be used, which is odd when you're paying a premium price to a company. The price is supposed to include cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc. But the final straw was this week when we wrote the word "dust" on the range hood (it is stainless steel and very easy to see). We did this the night before the maids arrived. When we returned home the evening after the "cleaning" - you guessed it, the word was still there. We wrote to Andrea to tell her and to cancel our service. We're still waiting for an acknowledgment. They say to please rate them and they need a "10," but apparently if you can't give them a 10, you're on your own. This was the most expensive of the companies we called about or ever used, but by far was the worst from a value perspective since there was very little attention to any details. We would never recommend them to anyone.

The two girls arrived on time and went straight to work. They changed the bed linens, cleaned the bathrooms, dusted everything including the blinds, vacuumed the carpet and moped the wood floors. They do an outstanding job every time and we will continue using them.

The girls were on time. Very pleasent and they did a wonderful job. I would highly recomend them. Best of all they loved my dog! T.

They were early for the service, quick, thorough, and called for check on completion. They have always done a great job.

Very well. Anna and Laurie were very pleasant and I enjoyed having them in my home. I look forward to seeing them again in 2 weeks. Plus my dog loved them!!

We have used Two Maids and a Mop for about 5 months now and the service has been excellent. It does not matter which team they send to clean they all do an excellent job. Everyone has been friendly, courteous and very professional and all have left the house looking great. They come in and start cleaning immediately, they have everything they need when they come into the house so there is no running to the car for supplies. We are extremely pleased with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone needing a cleaning service.

Excellent service. They arrived early in the one-hour promised window and did an excellent job. They even had a little extra time to spruce over the cleaning service that the sellers used for move-out broom cleaning. As far as price, 2 Maids was about %75 percent of that of other providers (including Angie's List) when broken down to dollars per person per hour of cleaning for a move-in cleaning. Would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again in the future.

I left 2 messages requesting a callback to set up monthly cleanings. I never received any reply or response which is why I have given an "F" for responsiveness and professionalism.

What more can I say? I was moving into this house but it really needed scrubbing before I would set down my clothes. It's out in the woods so it's not unusual that a mouse or two had been in a couple of the drawers in the kitchen. I had to work in the shop while 2 maids and a mop cleaned up the new house. They did, it was great, and I am now moving clothes, food, and all the essentials into my new place. I hate to stop the kind of work that I love to do that kind of work so thank God that this wonderful person that came seemed to like what she was doing. I was happy to pay her so I could do my work. It was a win/win.

Not well. This was a tough job: dog hair, grime etc. and I was concerned before asking them for the work that it might be too hard. So I asked the woman on the phone if it would be ok and she said no worries, the women we have will really work hard. So I booked them in and anticipated a whirlwind crew of two would sweep through the two rooms in no time and have the job done. 1.5 hours later they were still in the kitchen, so I thought ok, let's see if they can at least finish this room. So I moved fridge and cooker and asked if they would make sure the stains were clean under these. I almost fell off my chair when one of the women said, and I quite: we do not move anything that weighs more than 50 pounds and we do not get on our hands and knees to clean the floor! By this time I am thinking to myself why didn't I just do this myself, but anyway, they carried on. Then the supervisor came over and sensed that I was disappointed and said the women would work for an extra 30 minutes for free. Ok, great I thought. Well then did clean the floor in the kitsch and worked in the bathroom. But here is the thing: in the kitsch they did not clean any of the cupboards, they did not wash a segment of the floor (which was actually the most dirty, where the dogs used to eat) and do not clean inside the fridge, and in the bathroom, well, you get the general idea. The funniest think was, after I gave them a good tip (apparently we are expected to do this) one of the women told me I could set up a contract with them to have my new house cleaned on a regular basis! I said I would have to think about that one. Let me think about it: no!

I still use them and I like them very much. It's not the bottom rate service and I pay $118 a week. They do floors, dusting, wash dishes, changes sheets in my bed, dust even along the walls and window sills, mop floors if need mopping, and pet my dogs. They didn't wash dishes but they put them on the dishwasher so that's the same thing. I've got a pretty big house but they don't do the entire house because some of it is closed off and I don't always have people here but I'm extremely happy with them.

As usual two ladies showed up on time and went straight to work. Their work ethics are some of the best I have seen in years. They start cleaning in the master bath and clean everything from there to the other end of the house. The last thing they do is mop themselves out the front door. They also change the linens on the master bed and I think if they had any with them there would be a mint on the pillows! They have a duster they run over the top of every door, window, picture frame and the ceiling fan and blades. We are extremely pleased with them no matter which team comes to clean. If you need someone to clean, you can not do better than Two Maids and A Mop in Nashville.
