Description of Work: Davey's cut down a large dead white pine. We were out of town when they cut it down, but it was cleaned up and gone when we got home. No damage to our landscape or the neighbors, so "So all's well that ends well"

Description of Work: When they got around to it, it was done pretty well, although on particular tree overhanging the house's side was missed and I had to call them back to do it. It was frustrating that their responses to email and telephone were way longer than appropriate. I speculate Davey has too few people handling that part of the business.

Description of Work: They were very prompt, knowledgeable, and do the work on scheduling on budget and when she quoted. The trimming the trees was reasonable in cost. The highest cost that I had was securing one of the larger branches. That cost us more money than I expected.

Description of Work: I recently bought an old home with many huge old trees right near the house, and I wasn't sure whether they needed pruning, removal or what. I called Davey's and essentially gave them free reign to come out and tell me what needed to be done. Everett came right out and did an inspection of all my trees. Surprisingly, he was extremely honest and told me they were all in great shape and didn't need anything! Since I don't know anything about trees, he could have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge, but he didn't. He told me what problems to look for in the future, and recommended I have them come out every 3-4 years to check for any problems. I will only use them in the future, and will make sure to ask for Everett!

+ -1 moreThe service was fine. The problem is with the billing department in OHIO (headquarters). They kept over-billing us by double and triple. When we called them they would then say they would fix the billing and for two weeks we would receive collection mail. We are still receiving threatening letters and just now they have finally got the amount correct. We have canceled service and are happy to pay the final correct bill. The local company has been nice so we thought we could pay them directly when the service was performed but the "salesman" does not care to have our business! We have lots of other companies to choose from and in this economy cannot think the phones are ringing off the hook for lawn care. Good people stuck with a nightmare franchise! Watch your bill if you do business with them!!!

+ -1 moreDavey Tree did an excellent job with the trees. They were efficient and very nice. I did have an issue with the bill being twice as much as the estimate, but they fixed that as soon as I brought it to their attention. That was very professional of them.
Description of Work: I had a huge Mimosa tree cut down. Davey Tree also trimmed other trees by the driveway.
