It went well, Brandon took the time to explain things as he went along, he didn't mind me being right there.

The bathtub faucet in the bathroom of our rental home was consistently, if slowly, leaking, and since the home was for sale we needed to get it fixed. I had purchased 2 hours of pre-paid plumbing services through Angie's List Big Deal and thought that would cover the repair. At first, the plumber said he needed to order some "special equipment" since it was an old bathtubs with parts no longer available. Then, when I declined, he changed the stripped washer, which fixed the leak. I still had to pay him about $150. which I found frustrating and misleading, given that I had already paid for "2 hours of plumbing repair".

We noticed a methane break near the attic furnace last weekend and Surfin' Plumbers immediately dispatched Tim. He was there within the hour and was very professional, assessed the issue, and gave us peace of mind that we had no cause for immediate fire concerns. We decided to use Tim and he fixed issue and went above and beyond securing and making sure the corrections were more permanent than what the last "plumber" had done (duct tape). I highly recommend Tim and Surfin' Plumbers.

The job took a lot longer than what I was told. I had to go back in and have them correct the second part of the job. They are currently correcting some problems. I can't complain as long as they are doing the job. I thought that I made a deal with one plumber and he took another guy on the job who was first day on the job and was left there by himself. So now I may have to go back and have another plumber inspect all his work to make sure it is fine.

I called SP at 8:30 AM with a leaky water heater an they arrived at 9:30. Tim was very professional and easy to work with. Work was done with ease.

for $ He diagnosed the problem immediately, went to a local supply store and purchased necessary parts, and repaired faucet. Works great after repairs. I had a coupon purchased thru Angie's list FOR $ 99. The normal fee for the repair would have been $ 189 that I think is a little high. Price paid using coupon was appropriate for work done. That's is why I gave a B rating for price.

I did not hire them to do those because I knew that I did not need some of the things that they were recommending and I just had all of the work done that they quoted me and that was just $1,800. So there was a big discrepancy in the cost, what they recommended and what I actually needed. So I'm not pleased with them. They didn't do what I paid for and they exaggerated on what needed to be done. They were very nice and professional in the demeanor and how they looked. They did come when they said they would.

He called before he arrived, arrived on-time, was dressed like a surfer (their uniform), and asked me what I needed. He took care of all of the work, and answered all of my questions about the other stuff in my house (like what size water heater I *really* need). He did a first-class job on the installation, and was very courteous.

They did fix the drip in the shower, but I thought it was a bit expensive. Tried to see me a very expensive hose for my washing machine saying it was dripping although it had never dripped before.

The plumber from the Surfin' Plumbers was fantastic. He was very friendly, yet I felt safe. He got the work done quickly, yet took the time to show me how to repair some of the problems myself if they occurred again. I highly recommend the Surfin' Plumbers.

I called early in the morning hoping to get a same day appointment as our house had no hot water, and they were able to schedule me for around noon. An earlier job caused a delay and they were proactive about calling me to let me know exactly when they thought they would arrive around 6 PM. They arrived as they said and had the pilot lit in about 10 minutes. The plumber was also very helpful and discussed some future remodeling work we have planned and how he would recommend arranging certain parts for the plumbing to go in easily.

I am just stunned. I cannot believe that unclogging a drain could cost this much. I had a shower that wouldn't drain and the toilet backed up too so I came to Angie's List to find a trustworthy plumber. I chose Surfin' Plumber because they were in Hendersonville and offered a coupon that was almost half price from $200. They were polite and eager to service me but were unable to work me in the same day I called them. They promised to be at my house at 7am the next morning. The repairman arrived at 7:10 and began to search for the problem. After looking at the situation in the bathroom he went under the house at 7:25. At 8:20 he told me that he was not able to solve the problem simply (I guess he meant with an auger) and that I would have to have a procedure that I think he called Aquajetting, or something like that. He told me the procedure would be around 1770. Over 250 dollars of that would be to fix my toilet from failing to refill. I was at the time about 20 minutes late for work and nervous about it and couldn't think through any other plan, so I authorized the work. They have an in-house financing company that is charging 17% interest, on top of that hard hit to my finances. The price I listed, the 1600, is after a 200 discount from the Angie's List coupon. Had I not been under the pressure to get to work asap I would have thought to have told him "thank you but no thank you", and paid him for his services to that point and done some more research and found another company or individual to do the work at a more reasonable price, say $400-600. I am basing that price on my knowledge of having a septic tank pumped for $500. I think the price charged was ridiculous....for that kind of money, they should have cleaned ALL my drains. As I have thought about it all day, I have been getting more and more unhappy and depressed about this-----from the thoughts of how overcharged it seems to me, to the worry of how I am going to pay for it. I am a teacher who is not paid over the summer, and this expense just took what I need to save to get through one month. I am just sick over it...especially the thought that I was charged $258 dollars to replace the refilling apparatus in my toilet. For that price I could have bought a brand new toilet! I am going in the morning to try to obtain alternate financing from my bank to pay for this. All I can say is: be better prepared than I have been. Think through and research what you would do if you had an emergency like this before it happens. I didn't research enough or think clearly enough, and I'm going to be paying for it for a looong time. Buyer Beware.

I had several plumbing issues, but I had a very limited budget. The plumber looked at everything, then wrote out all the pricing for each item to let me know ahead of time what costs and my options were. He assured me that Surfin' Plumbers does not charge by the hour like many other companies. I had paid $69 for $169 worth of service through a special Angie's List deal. I ended up opting for him to unclog one drain (bathroom sink) and wait on getting the other, lower priority things done. It took him about 15-20 minutes to get the clog out. I was charged about $205 for that job. Since I had gotten that deal, it only cost me around $36 more out of pocket. I felt okay about it at the time, because he was very thorough in explaining things and seemed trustworthy. However, after researching the cost of drain unclogging on the internet, it seems as though the more common cost is in the $100 range. I don't know if Surfin' Plumbers just charges more for this service, or if the price was somewhat inflated because I had used that deal. I was glad that it was only just over $100 out of pocket, at least, and my sink drain is running fine now.
