Music City Maid Service

The office staff and maids were always very polite and professional acting. They always accommodated my schedule for day and time changes. However, the maids did not ever perform a clean to the level I expected unless we walked the house and I pointed out items they missed such as dusting, vacuuming, and sometimes even entire rooms were missed. A team of two or three maids came each week to clean. One of the individuals was typically the same. I expected him to learn the house so a good clean was possible. My impression was that he generally lacked the motivation to put much work into the house. I have since found an individual to clean and am much more satisfied. MSM is quite a bit cheaper than other providers but you'll sacrifice quality.

Cleaner arrived on time, with good attitude, performed professionally, and did good job. A few days later we had a major spill in one of the bedrooms, called the company, and our same guy came promptly out and took care of our problem. :-)

The company who cleaned the carpets also did our 'move out clean', please see the additional review on that one. The house cleaners were still there when the carpet cleaners arrived - carpet guy arrived early. I pointed out trouble areas to him and he said he would see what he could do for them. The carpet cleaning was mediocre at best - but the best part of the whole thing was -- get this, when I talked with the housekeepers and gave each of those five ladies a $10 tip each, they must have passed this knowledge along to the guy cleaning the carpet. Before he left, he made sure to come find me - which in itself is normal, but he kept hanging around, like he knew I gave the others a tip and expected one for himself. I kept loading last minute items into my van hoping he'd get the hint, but he kept hanging around. I finally gave him the tip and poof he was gone.... Now, for the carpet cleaning -- since the carpets were wet and it was later in the day, I could not get upstairs to inspect any of the cleaning of the carpet. I went back to the house first thing next morning, and it smelled as if someone had dumped sewage into the house! I went upstairs, and the problem spots were not gone, nor were the high traffic areas downstairs really clean. I looked in the closets, and not only did the house cleaners not vacuum up a handful of sunflower seeds that were along the wall, but the carpet cleaning company didn't get them either. Looks like they didn't even touch the carpeting in the upstairs hall closet. I ended up calling a company called CSSI, they came out that same day, and the cleaning by CSSI was fantastic! If CSSI is on this site, I would give them a 10 THUMBS UP review for the service I got from them. For this company - not so much.

I contracted to have our 2600 sq foot rental house cleaned for our walk-through. Three young ladies arrived and started cleaning the upstairs while I was out working in the back yard and garage moving last minute items into the back of my van. The company said it would be done in two hours, so since I had purchased a carpet cleaning through them as well, they scheduled their carpet cleaning for just two hours after the house cleaning. The carpet cleaner showed up a half hour early, and the ladies had not even finished the upstairs yet. They started rushing around trying to get the cleaning done so the carpet guy could go ahead and clean the upstairs carpeting. They ended up calling in two additional house cleaners (for a total of five women working on my house) who then rushed through the job in an additional 45 minutes. As soon as they finished the downstairs cleaning, the carpet guy came immediately behind them. I was unable to get upstairs or around in the house to do any inspection of the cleaning before they left. I went in the next afternoon after I made sure the carpets were dry and was not pleased with the work. I ended up having to clean on July 2nd and part of the morning of the third so we could do our walk through that weekend. I had to purchase a new mop because I had already moved everything to our new house in Fairview, so when I mopped my bathroom floor, the water was filthy! I mop the master bathroom weekly, and the ONLY way it would be that filthy is if they wiped down all the baseboards first and then took the dirty rags and wiped down the bathroom floor. I also didn't notice a mop in their arsenal of tools that they brought into the house. The two closets downstairs were not even touched. The upstairs carpeting had sunflower seed shells still present, so it is like they only took a moment to run the vacuum over the middle of the floors - I guess they figured the carpet cleaners would pick it up (THAT is another review in itself!!!!) The kitchen cabinets were not wiped out at all and the kitchen floor was not mopped. The other bathroom upstairs still had a little glob of toothpaste in front of the vanity, so that tells me they didn't mop it either. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. One would think that with five women cleaning a house that it would turn out better than that. I will give them credit for the baseboard dusting and window cleaning, but anything else was severely lacking.

They were thorough and I am very pleased with the services they provided. I will let my friends and family know and would use them again. Thanks for an awesome job.

I would never use them again. They didn't show up on time. It was just a fiasco from get go. They ruined my kitchen floors. I have wooden floors and it was sticky for a week. The first time around, two people came out. The second time around there were different ones and they were much, much better. They came in for a couple of hours. They didn't have cleaning supplies. They wanted to use our cleaning supplies. It was a fiasco. I called back the owner after the first ladies came, and talked to him. He sent out another crew the next.

Services were not performed at all on first run. Looked like they took about 45 minutes just hitting a few areas. No carpet work. Had to call management who acted very surprised. They agreed to send another crew immediately. Carpet was clean in areas, no spot cleaning, no call to discuss if there were trouble areas that need remediation. Surfaces were cleaner but still many areas where dust remained, dirty areas, no counter top cleaning that we could tell, or the kitchen sink. Will have to have another service come in and redo. I guess deep cleaning is a subjective term. Management also wanted to up-charge significantly because house is listed on Zillow at 4020 sq. feet (approximate) and they took this as gospel rather than measuring themselves. this was 20 square feet over the coupon amount.

Lolita and Pamela came out this past Friday and did a remarkable job. We have used various maid services over the years in both Atlanta and Nashville. Lolita and Pamela provided the most thorough cleaning we have ever experienced. Scheduling the service was easy and they were very good about working with our schedule. We had parents coming into town on short notice so we had a time crunch. I would highly recommend them and we will be using them on a regular basis.

I was amazed at how good the carpets looked! These were two carpets in a home I have just purchased. The previous owner had three dogs and it showed. I really didn't think the carpets could be made to look decent, but they cleaned up really good.

Both ladies arrived right on schedule and got to work on our upstairs. They worked their way down to our 1st floor and did everything on the house deep clean certificate. My wife and I are very clean people and "neat freaks" and we agreed that our house has never been this clean in the 7 years we've lived in it. Outstanding job! We plan to have the company clean our carpets and begin doing monthly cleanings.

I was very happy with the work done, and Pamela and Clara were hardworking and thorough. They are friendly, have a great disposition and showed up on time, ready to work. I look forward to using this company for several weeks.

They arrived slightly ahead of the appointed time which was a great sign to me. They began in the kitchen where one cleaned the oven and the other started on the counters. They had some special challenges as it had snowed and it turned out my children were home and underfoot. Both women were very sweet and patient with the children. The ladies were very professional and did a great jpb cleaning. They went from room to room cleaning. Each lady seemed to have her task in mind in each room. I would not hesitate to have them back in my home. I highly recommend them!!!!

We were extremely pleased with Music City Maid Service. The three cleaners (Samantha, Kenya, and one other whose name we unfortunately can't recall) worked diligently for nearly four hours. We were concerned that they would be more focused on getting done within a set time vs a thorough cleaning, but that was not an issue at all. They showed up on time, had great attitudes, and worked hard the entire time they were here. We will use again and highly recommend.

I was expecting a deep clean of my home. We have hardwood floors throughout with a few rugs thrown in . The rugs were not vacuumed. The floors were swept, but the mops were not cleaned or shaken out often enough so large dustballs and miscellaneous dirt were left in every room. The picture frames were not dusted, not were the blinds, the sculpture or the baseboards. I spent three hours after they left finishing their work (with my broken arm and broken foot). I called to complain today and was told that they would send two people over to finish the job. Unfortunately I had already finished it in anticipation of my guests arriving today. The Management did listen to my complaints, apologized and refunded $100.00 to my credit card. I appreciated the gesture. Next time I would rather have my house deep-cleaned.

Kristi and Clara arrived a little early, as I was coming home from taking my cats to the vet. They asked if it was too early, and if I wanted them to wait. The timing was good, and they came in and got started. They changed the sheets in my guest room, as I asked them to, cleaned the bathrooms and all other rooms. They were willing to do anything else I asked them to do before they left. Both young ladies were polite and friendly, and focused on the job that needed to be completed. A pet peeve of mine has been when someone is hired to clean, and they leave the house without emptying the trash cans! I also had experiences before with someone who repeatedly left something on the floor that clearly did not belong on the floor. I appreciated Kristi and Clara, and the job they did. ,

Very well- the ladies were quick and efficient. They really seemed to love cleaning home and both cared about the quality of their work.

Company missed first appointment but subsequent appointment was met. Cleaning seemed fine until carpet dried and some spots reappeared. Not overly impressed but maybe it was an off day.

Staff were on time, friendly & thorough. Jasmine & Sam were there about 4 hours & did a deep clean on our entire house. They did a great job & I would love to continue the service.

Maids were very congenial and very fast, perhaps too much so. Results were not what I expected, but probably normal for the industry. They used a cleaner/polish on my tile and laminates that is still somewhat tacky after 24 hours. I am a shy person and find it difficult to ask for do-overs, so am looking for a service that will be more concerned with quality than speed. I do not fault their responsiveness - that is my own problem. I imagine they would be quite good for a more assertive client.

They really did a deep clean, from shaking out the drapes to washing down the kitchen and bathroom floors. I found a few missed spots after they left, but overall they did a great job and I will have them back anytime if they are a available. Well worth the money.

There seems to be a lack of communication at the administrative level. I purchased the service and reached out immediately after. Waited a week with no response until finally sending another email. Received a vague email that they were away with family (which I can totally understand) and that somebody would reach out. They did via email and we set up a time and date. It took the office more than three days to confirm that they were coming and received my information. The morning of the service, the ladies were late due to traffic from a wreck caused earlier that morning - totally understand, but was bummed that I had to call to find out what was going on versus the office just giving me a heads up. I ended up missing a meeting.

The young man that came to do the work was a friendly, hard-working young man. He was very professional and thorough in his task and my carpets look cleaner and smell very nice. I will definitely use Music City Carpet Cleaning again.

I purchased a "deep cleaning" special through Angie's List. This was my first purchase after I signed up. The team of two polite and pleasant people arrived promptly and worked for 3 hours. At the end of that time, they announced that they were finished and asked if I saw anything else that needed to be done. I was recovering from surgery, and not really able to do much of an inspection, so I assumed that the job was well done, and sent them on their way. Later that day, my husband and I were able to take a closer look and found that the job was not particularly well done. We also discovered a list they had left with many things checked off that had not been done at all. I called the office and explained that we were not satisfied with the work and was told that someone would come back out and do a 2 hour re-do. It took over a week for that to happen. The new team of two arrived promptly as well. We went over the list of "undone" things and incomplete things from the first visit. Again, two very friendly and pleasant young ladies went to work for about 1.5 hours, not the 2 hours I was told. Again, I assumed the list had been completed. After they left, I found several of the same issues had still not been addressed, even after we specifically went over the list. So this company had 2 chances to complete this "deep cleaning" job, and both times failed to deliver. I will not be contacting them again, nor using their services. I'm disappointed that my first Angie's List effort was no better than a dart tossed at the yellow pages. After the first visit, I gave them an ok review before I actually saw what they left undone. This a revised review.
