He has done a really great job. They were prompt, personable and did the repair right away. He was reasonable in his pricing and I can?t say enough about him.

Very nice man, punctual. Did not like the opening line stating age of unit, but was not pushy on selling new units. Fielded a couple of phone calls during repair, was there slightly over an hour which translated to 126.00 and was really taken aback by the 65.00 diagnostic charge. If I was being charged by the hour, perhaps the two phone calls would have pared the time down to an hour. Overall he did what I asked him to do.

I would definitely use them again. He was wonderful. He was very personable and he took the time to answer all of our questions. He even offered some very specific information about our filters and where we could get materials. He clearly knew what he was talking about. He was very approachable and helpful. I was pleased that he let us use an online coupon and an Angie's List coupon. I give Kuhn Air Conditioning all A's for their servicing.

Before consulting Angie's List,we contacted another company and they sent out a technician who cleaned the unit and put a small amount of refrigerant in. The next day, when the unit still wouldn't shut off, we called them back. Another representative was sent. He spent a couple of hours testing and looking at the unit, then said repairs would run $1200 to $1500 (leaks, bad welds, a filter inside the unit that needed to be replaced, etc.). I asked if it could be the thermostat but was told that although the thermostat wasn't the correct kind for a heat pump system, the problem wasn't with the thermostat. Since this unit was installed less that five years ago, we decided to get a second opinion. Based on Angie's List reviews, we called Kuhn Air Conditioning for that opinion. Ed Kuhn was out of town, but another "Ed" who works with the company came out the next day. After testing the unit, he said he could find nothing wrong with the unit. The problem, he said, was that the thermostat, although it was the right kind for a heat pump system, was not working properly, that it wasn't recognizing when the inside air temperature reached the thermost AC setting. He installed a new thermostat, and the unit has been working fine since that time. Not only did Kuhn Air Conditioning solve the problem, they saved us at least $1200 -- probably a lot more. We have two AC systems at our house plus AC systems at three rental properties we own. We'll definitely use Kuhn Air Conditioning again!

They did a great job. They were pleasant to deal with, and were very punctual. They provided good explanations for what they were doing and why they were doing things a certain way. I had to call them back about a problem I was having, and they were extremely prompt and came out that day to fix it. I dealt with Ed Kuhn, and he was excellent. He did exactly what he said he was going to do, he charged exactly what he said he was going to charge, and he came exactly when he said he was going to come. It was very refreshing to work with him, and they were extraordinarily careful not to track in dirt and not to make a mess. He had the best price of the four estimates I received, and I was extremely happy with every aspect of their service.

Ed was friendly and professional from beginning to end. I appreciated that he took the time to teach us some things we can do to improve our maintaining of the units.

I found Kuhn AC on Angie's list on Monday night and emailed Ed. He emailed me back that night to say he would call in the morning to schedule a time. He called me first thing Tuesday morning and said he could be here in couple hours. He came, gave us a quote and we scheduled the work for Thursday. It went great! My husband let them in and I never saw them. It was hard to tell they had been here, except that it was so COOL when I got home. Thanks Ed!

My heat pump is at least 17 years old. It stopped puting out cool air, and I really thought it was dead and that I needed a new unit. I called Kuhn Air and he came out. He was on time, looked at the problem and called me to inform me of the status of my unit. He told me that a breaker switch was the only problem! I did not need a new unit at this time! I was thrilled. He will be the one I call when the time finally does arrive!

Our first floor A/C stopped delivering cool air. After reviewing Angie's List, I decided to given Kuhn Air Conditioning a call. Ed Kuhn came out at our convenience and arrived on time. After discussing the potential problem and possible solutions, Ed performed an inspection of the system. He recharged the refrigerant in our A/C unit and inspected the entire A/C system and furnace, including crawling into our crawlspace to re-attach a duct that had come loose. Ed is extremely thorough and his prices are reasonable. I will definitely use Kuhn Air Conditioning in the future for our HVAC needs.

This was an excellent experience. My air conditioner stopped blowing cool air. After reviewing this list, I called Ed Kuhn. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and in an hour or so fixed the problem. He was extremely courteous, friendly and didn't give me the run around. He also give me some information about the age of my unit and quoted a price for a new unit should I need it in the future. Extremely good service!

I found Kuhn AC on Angie's list. I sent them an email through a link on their website on a Sunday and my email was replied to on Monday. Mr. Kuhn also followed up via phone. We arranged a time to meet and he was very prompt. He had a very helpful manner and he was very professional. I thought the thermostats sounded expensive on the quote but I'm very pleased with them - they are very high quality and have digital screens and advanced programming options - a big improvement over my manual thermostat where you could never tell whether it was set to 65 or 80. The quality of the work was great and he came in under his estimate. I'm very pleased with the results. I'll definitely call Ed in the fall when I start heating my home.

Ed's service was so far beyond expectations, I do not know how to describe it. He was friendly and prompt. Would recommend Kuhn A/C to anyone.

After unsuccessful attempts to get estimates from other heating/AC companies for replacing our aging heat pump, we visited Angie's List and found good reviews for Kuhn Air Conditioning. We contacted Ed Kuhn, the proprieter, and soon had an appointment with him to look at our current system, including the layout of the house and our current ductwork, and give us an estimate. He recommended a heat pump slightly larger than the one we had to account for additions to the house. He did not give us an estimate right away, because he needed additional time to find out whether there were any systems appropriate for our home that would also entitle us to a big income-tax credit (unfortunately, there were not). He presented us with three options and pricing for each. He was patient with us as we mulled over this major purchase, and he was also willing to work around our hectic schedule, which made it difficult for us to meet with him to sign the contract and pay the deposit. When installation day rolled around last week, two very courteous and professional contractors arrived punctually, and Ed showed up a bit later with the new system. The contractors worked throughout the day and had the new system working by mid-afternoon. We have been very happy with the system so far. Ed gave us a credit for the amount we had earlier paid him for his on-site inspection and for our existing thermostat, which is programmable and compatible with the new system. We definitely would do business with Ed again. Unlike some of his competitors, Ed was unfailingly professional and punctual throughout the entire process.

It went great. He showed up before expected, said it was a simple fix. While he was here I had him service the other unit. He gave me the $20 off from Angie's List/his Website. Overall, we will use him again in the future.

He was prompt, reliable, and efficient. He has a good product and does excellent work. He was very attentive to the special needs of our older home.

Sourced several "A" list HVAC companies in the Hendersonville area off Angie's list. Did not hear back from one; one made contact after several days; Ed Kuhn gave same day response (with requested estimate for repair, and, for a replacement equivalent system cost). Contact made both by e-mail and telephone. Appointment set for repair, and confirmed the day before. On-time arrival, professional and timely in completion, and also did a check on a second system on my request. Also, after writing a check for the invoice, Ed had me tear it up and re-write one for $20 cheaper because he informed me he had a $20 coupon on his website. If Angie's List had an A+ category, there would be check marks all the way down.

I called him at 3:00 on a Saturday and he came by about 4:30. I appreciated the same day service, especially on a weekend! My unit is 16 years old so I was expecting the worse. The gentleman was very nice and didn't jump to the "well you need a new unit" sales pitch. He wasn't trying to convince me to buy a new unit and he told me to hang on with the old one a little longer. That was a nice surprise.

He was here when he said he would be and finished the work the same day. I would definitely use him again.

His prices were much lower than all but one of the companies I looked at going with. He was by far the best at explaining everything & making the best decision. He personally did the work along with an assistant. I also got a 10 year warranty on the unit. He gave me a time and he was there at that time. He was very professional and has been doing this type of work for a long time. He's even been back since the work was been done to check on the work.

He originally came over for a no obligation consultation after I found him in our local phone book. I originally called since we had the same last name (no relation) and found him to be great do deal with. He was very creative with solutions to my challenging duct design issues. His pricing was fair and reasonable. I was most impressed by his workmanship and attention to detail. He was able to cut new diffusers into walls and ceilings and have them look like they have always been there. He was very diligent about clean up.
