Everything went great. He is very reliable and professional.

We'll likely have them come back and move a few ducts slightly, but most everything was handled just as we had hoped. The repairs to the existing duct work have also improved the overall functionality of the system. Kuhn also recommended a good electrician for the relocation of the unit. Although not a perfect experience, we are satisfied with the results and found Mr. Kuhn to be anxious to please and trustworthy. This significant investment in our home was made with confidence - a job well done by Kuhn Air Conditioning.

Our 12 year-old heat pump failed on a cold Wed. night in mid-February. I got an estimate from Lee Co. (an absurdly high one) and then called Ed Kuhn. He assessed the situation quickly, offered a couple of very affordable options and we had our new heat pump installed within 48 hours. We were warm as toast by Friday afternoon. What a guy!

Ed did not try to "sell" me, just assessed and discussed our needs and gave me an estimate. He and his crew were prompt and professional and cleaned up after themselves. He even replaced my doorbell which went out while they were here!

Renters called stating no heat in house. Found Mr. Kuhn on Angie's list and called. He answered and said he was on another job and would be available in approximately an hour. He called when he was on his way to house and I met him there. Discovered problem and fixed. Also did annual maintenance on air conditioning unit. Charged $95.00 but gave me $20 discount since I mentioned Angie's list (but didn't have a printer available to print coupon). Renters are happy, I'm happy and have scheduled Mr. Kuhn to come to my house for annual air conditioning maintenance later this month.

He found the problem and resolved it quickly. He was probably in and out within 30 minutes, and that includes the time it took us to clean out the attic so he could get to the unit AND to look up the installation instructions online so he could show me what I'd done wrong with the thermostat settings.

Ed works on Saturdays and we called him first thing in the morning. He came out a few hours later. He "hates for people to be cold." Unfortunately, he did not have the part needed to repair the furnace and we had to wait until Monday for the repair. But he came back first thing and took care of everything Monday morning, offering us words of advice for future actions and maintenance.

They come whenever I call them. They are very good, reliable and honest. They are professional and come in a timely manner. They don't just find things to put in to charge me. They are good all across the board.

Very good experience overall but I went with another company. Mr Kuhn quotes on the work himself and is very knowledgable and informed. He was very easy to work with and gave me a detailed estimate. I would have felt confident using him to replace our heating and cooling system.

Called Mr. Kuhn from Angies list. He is a VERY cordial, honest and patient man. He came to the house exactly when he said he would. He spent much time getting all the information he needed and was able to give me 3 estimates on 3 different packages I could choose from. Mr. Kuhn could have told me I needed the most expensive package but he was honest enough to tell me the pros and cons of each package and I ended up going with the less expensive package that he said would work just fine. He ordered the unit, showed up again exactly when he said he would and him and his guys went to work. It is very hard to find someone you can trust to do honest work and not take you to the cleaners to benefit themselves, but I'm DELIGHTED to say, Mr. Kuhn is one of those rare people!!! I'm a 45 year old mom of 4 sons and he gave me plenty of time to weigh my options and took my calls when needed. He was very patient with me!! I just wish he did other work as well as HVAC! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MR. KUHN AND I WILL USE NOBODY ELSE IN THE FUTURE FOR MY HVAC NEEDS!!! Thanks to you Mr. Kuhn and your crew for your honesty and teriffic service! God Bless you!

We chose Ed Kuhn and his team because they were the only ones who said they could run ductwork to all the rooms in our upstairs (3 rooms and a bathroom) and for the same price as the other guys who would only run it to 2 rooms. The house is an old 1938 craftsman style so it's really only 1.5 stories which translates to lots of sloped ceilings and very little overhead space. In fact, they were the ones to discover just how little room there was in the ceiling. The whole ductwork layout had to be reconfigured on the fly but in the end it came together very nicely, didn't cause any significant delays and the best part, no change to the cost of the project! On day 2 we had 7 people in the house working on the ac and electrical which seemed a little daunting (it's our first big home renovation project) but they were very efficient and we were glad that it got done so quickly. The group was polite, accommodating (per my request, they placed the unit and cement pad outside on several inches of gravel since it's located close to a downspout) and made sure to clean up all their trash when they left. Since we weren't home when they finished, Ed was came by the house the following night and talk with us about the installation and answer any questions. He's a very nice man and we were glad that he was overseeing the project himself; he was the one calling us if anything came up (i.e. moving the ductwork) and keeping us informed of the project's progress which we appreciated. We have an older ac on the 1st floor and if does need to be replaced while we own this home we will definitely call Ed.

We needed to replace an a/c (heat pump) unit that was continually non-functioning. We live in Nevada, the rental property with the a/c problem is in Nashville, TN. We called Mr. Ed Kuhn. He agreed to go to the location to get an idea of the area and type of unit we needed to replace. Mr. Kuhn called us with an estimate of the cost and a date certain that he could remove the old unit and install a new one. Mr. Kuhn called the night before to confirm the next morning time. Mr. Kuhn and his associates were very professional. They had the old unit out and the new unit in, in under 4 hours. It was nothing short of miraculous! The unit was exactly what we wanted and was installed efficiently and professionally. If you need a company for a/c, you need to get this guy! He is the best we have ever dealt with!

He was professional, did the job and showed up when he said he would. He was very knowledgeable and did great check up work.

Showed up on time as scheduled - completed the service in a professional manner - when I scheduled the service I did not ask for a price however the price was fair and he gave us the Angie's list discount with asking I did not meet the tech - my wife did - and she was impressed - she said he explained what he was doing and answered her questions - I will use his services in the future

Was going out the door on Sat. afternoon when I noticed that the thermostat was blank and, while the a/c unit was on, no air was coming through the vents. Called Ed and he said he could be out within an hour. He showed up on time, rewired the fan so the cool air would blow through the vents and made an appointment to come back on Weds. to replace the computer board for a permanent fix. On Weds., he once again arrived on the dot, fixed the problem, found that there was a faulty thermostat and reduced the price because he failed to find the problem on the previous Sat.! What a gem!

Called Ed on Saturday around 1pm. He returned my call within minutes and asked about my problem (unit not cooling properly and drying the air). He was on a call and called me back when he was finished and asked my address. Was on site in 20 minutes. Checked out my system, did a thorough cleaning and solved the problem. Took the time to explain the everything he did, how I could improve my air filtration and maximize the performance of my system. He is on my A+ list for any HVAC repair or installation .

I have been very happy with the service. He has been very reasonable. He is very honest with you about what he can and can't do.

Ed was responsive, professional and punctual (you couldn't ask for more really). Our cooling unit was dead and I called him and he came out the same day to diagnose the problem. He indicated that the compressor was shorted and I told him that the previous guy that had looked at the until had informed me that it had a crack in the heat exchange (Ed told me that the unit should have been shut off if it had a crack in the heat exchange because of the risk of carbon monoxide coming into the house). He offered two solutions and gave me two prices to either fix the compressor or replace the unit. We decided to replace the unit because we knew that the until was on it's last leg. He told us that we could purchase a 13 Seer unit for $5595 or we could purchase a 14 Seer unit for $5995 (and then apply for the $1500 govt. tax credit, thereby making the unit less expensive in the end......around $4495). I appreciated him offering this solution as it saved us some money (we will get that $1500 back when we do our taxes in January 2010). All that to say, he worked to get us a unit and have it installed within 4 days (diagnosed problem on Friday and installed unit on Tuesday...not bad considering we just had flooding in this area and he was very busy). His workers were courteous, helpful and they had integrity. I immediately liked Ed (probably because he is a Northener from Pittsburch; many of the Northerners that I have hired have had a good work ethic). He was straightforward, and never tried to sell us anything that was unnecessary. He has integrity in the way that he works with his customers. I will definitely use him again. He will receive my repeat business for maintenance and repair and I will tell others about him. Our final price for the 14 Seer unit was $5895 ($5995 - $100 coupon). Ed even refunded us the diagnostic fee that we paid him on Friday because we bought the unit from him.

At 8 a.m. the ductwork cleaning crew arrived to prepare to clean our ductwork and shortly, thereafter, the Kuhn workmen arrived and disconnected the old unit and moved it away from the house so the ductwork people could begin their work. It took about 4 hours for the ductwork cleaning to be done. At 12:30 Kuhn's men returned to begin work on installing the new unit. The work was all completed & our new unit up & running by about 4:30p.m. The workmen were polite and Mr. Kuhn was very pleasant & appreciative of our business.

They connected to the existing gas line and duct work. They did an excellent job. The price was reasonable, they arrived promptly and left the area neat. I would definitely call them for service in the future. I have been using it for 10 days and am very happy with the unit as well as with the service provided by Kuhn.

Mr. Kuhn was prompt when I initially called him and gave me an estimate right away. He and his crew installed the unit the next day. It was much cheaper than the previous estimate I received from Hiller's. I'm sure Hillers would have done a good job but this was cheaper and so far, so good. Mr. Kuhn was very courteous and professional. On a personal note, he was nice to my dogs even though they were annoying. At this point, I highly recommend Kuhn's Air Conditioning.

Dave answered the phone right away. Promised to show up in 45 minutes and did. He spent about a half hour to 45 minutes diagnosing the issue, got the emergency heat working and told me what was wrong with my heater (an expensive repair) and that if I had a Home Warranty (due to the cost) I should work through them. I was very impressed with his professionalism, courtesy and fairness.

We were having problems with our heat. Ed came to the house on a Sunday and got us up and running again. A motor needed to be replaced but there was a quick fix he could do and show us how to do until it went completely out. I appreciated Ed's effort to save us some money, at least for the time being. A couple of months later, the motor started acting up again and we called Ed . He came the next day and did the work within about 15 minutes. Both times we had to call him, he called us back that night to check to see if everything was okay. We so appreciated his customer service and his honesty. We will definitely call him for future jobs.

Ed was very responsive to my inquiry, scheduled an appointment promptly, arrived on time and finished the job in the time frame discussed. He was thorough and professional.
