HonorGuard Pest Management Services - Nashville

Description of Work: I have had a termite contract with Plantation Pest Control for years, they were recently sold to HonorGuard and since that time the service has been horrible. I had to call them when it was time for my annual inspection and then they never sent a bill. THEN they sent someone back out fo the house about 2 months later without an appointment and THEN sent me a bill for that service when the techinician wasn't even about to access the areas that should have been inspected. Then about 2 weeks ago I get this mysterious note on my front door from them asking me to call them. I call the person named Sam back and he didn't even seem to know why he asked me to call him. The whole conversation was ridiculous, he finally decided that it was time for my contract to renew and started rattling off figures to me. Most reputable companies would send a customer a letter with some kind of detail nor send someone skulking around their house uninvited. I eventually told Sam that I was not interested and that he would need to let the office know. He told me that he as not able to do that, what? So the following day I sent the company a rather long email explaining how dissatisfied I was with the way they run their company and have yet to receive a reply.

Description of Work: I used Honorguard Pest Management from the time I moved into my house in May 2007. Everything was OK until I realized we had a Brown Recluse problem. I caught one on the bedroom floor in the Sept of 2011. Honorguard suggested we put sticky traps around the house to monitor the situation, which we did for several months. We caught an average of one BR per month, and in March I decided we needed further assistance. They sent a consultant out to our house. He suggested we fog the crawl space and attic, and dust the walls, which required removing all face plates and spraying dust in the crevices. I've since learned that for the fogging to be effective, it has to be below 50 degrees. Our service was done in March, and it was too warm to be effective, but we still paid $500 for the service. The new "Brown Recluse" service contract we had to sign was significantly more expensive every month, but the actual service remained the same. According to our agreement, the technician was supposed to come inside and check the traps every month, but all he has done is spray the perimeter when I'm not home.I called the service manager. He did not call back.I emailed the consultant, who got back to me and told me to write an email about the problem. Sfter that, I got a response from the service manager, James, who said he'd call me the next day and come out with a tech to assess the problem I waited 20 days and never heard a word from him. I'm shopping for a new company now.
