They had to order a new motor, they said they had something in the office, he had to check with his boss. They offered a maintenance package and I accepted. They came out to replace the motor. I felt like I should have only been paying for the labor because the motor still had a warranty. I felt I needed a better explanation of the warranty. They did fix it and it works great. They have come out to do one service call since then.

The cost is part of the come-in-the-summer and come-in-the-winter service kind of thing. They are very responsive when you have an issue. They come right out or get somebody out here.

Donelson Air Service Experts helped us out when our Contractor (Elan Home Services LLC, see our review on Angie's List on this contractor) did not complete the contract (they walked off the job) of rebuilding our home after the August 2013 flooding of Madison Tn leaving us with our newly installed HVAC system inoperable to due non-payment to sub-contractor Bratcher Heating and Air. The service technician Mr Bowman inspected the entire HVAC system to ensure it was installed correctly before adding needed refrigerant before starting the system up for the first time. After starting the system he made a full systems check to ensure everything was working properly. Unfortunately the system blew a fuse that he did not carry on his truck at the time, it was on a Saturday. The following Monday he returned with a new fuse and installed it and restarted the system again. Everything worked as it should and we now a working HVAC system. Mr Bowmans professionalism, courtesy, respect and knowledge shows that Donelson Air Service Experts more than lived up to their reputation. We will be hiring them again to service our HVAC system on a yearly bases.

My current system was a common 10SEER that was old and tired. I solicited quotes from three large companies and all responded as scheduled. Donelson secured my business by offering top of the line system at a competitive rate. Agreed to installation next day. When they checked the supplier, they found the gas furnace unit was not available for next day installation so they upgraded to a 98% efficient unit at no charge to me. The installers arrived as scheduled the following morning. The team asked me about details as to where to locate lines and did some additional modifications to the duct work to install the system. Again, no additional charge to me. They called in a second crew in order to finish by 6:30 in the evening. They worked straight through without stopping for lunch. Very courteous and D efficient team. I received an email the following day from Lennox asking about my satisfaction and letting me know that Donelson had registered my system and applied for a Lennox rebate.

Could not be more dissapointed with the experience Donelson provided around estimating a replacement HVAC system. Especially since I have utilized maintenance service in the past with no issues. The associate that came to the house was polite and on time; however, these were the only good marks that I could give. Upon arriving and after looking at the system for about 10 minutes the associate was clearly pressed to provided pricing for various systems. Not once did they ask what they could do, what was wrong, performed any manual J analysis for heat load or inspected ductwork. The associate also bad mouthed products that the company clearly services and sells, not very professional for any buisness. The pricing for three systems, based upon efficiency from low to high, were proposed. The estimate included no line items describing what would be included for each price point and no information about the Vendor or model of the equipment. How any recommendations for a HVAC system without performing or offering a Manual J calculation is beyond reproach. The whole time in home was approxiamtely 30 minutes and the experience was more closely likened to buying a used car from a unscrupoluous dealer.

They were professional, laid down thick cardboard to protect my floors. I was impressed with their work and the salesman (Kevin Hennessy ) came by to check on them and talk to me about how it went. I felt as if he really cared and it was important to have 100% satisfaction. I would recommend them to all and I will use them from now on.

I use Donelson Air for a spring and fall tune-up on the HVAC unit and they always do a great job. On the recent spring tune-up I asked them to look at a small but frustrating issue with one air duct in the crawlspace (slightly detached duct so air to that room smelled like the crawlspace...Yuck!). Even though this was outside the scope of the tune up and it required a separate trip by another technician, they fixed the issue as part of the tune up contract. It seems impossible to find vendors that are willing to get in a dirty cramped crawlspace unless it is for a big ticket job so I am very very thankful to Donelson Air for their help and service.

Did the maintenance check as per contract

Vinny came to my home on 05/21/14 to take a look at my unit. It was in such bad condition that he had to call a supervisor to come out. After much discussion, and physically showing & explaining the issues to me, (**and after I called a knowledgable outside person myself to confirm) it was decided that the complete unit needed to be replaced rather than just patch work. I appreciated his honesty & professionalism during this process. I knew that my previous unit had gone long past the life expectancy and was glad that I chose Donelson Air Service Experts to do the job. They have done work for my father as well and he was extremely pleased also. *The day after installation I noticed a small leak coming from the attic right underneath where the new unit had been installed. I contacted Donelson Air and they sent someone out to correct the error within a couple of hours. They were to also have their drywall connection give me a call to correct my wall and I am waiting to hear from that person. Overall I would absolutely recommend them to others.

I had a great experience with them. I got three estimates and their price was fair.

Have used this company for several years. (Before it changed to Service Experts from Donalson Heating and Air) Even after the change, I have always had prompt and courteous service. The initial time I used service was when I had a problem with my a/c several years ago. The problem was fixed and was covered by manufacture warranty at that time. I purchased the "maintenance package" they offered then and have renewed it every year now for approx. 99.00 each time. This past visit, I received an extra 6 month tune-up visit free (this visit no cost. 99.00 for 2 more 6 month visits). The technician tested the efficiency and cleaned out the coils. We have had this unit for over 8 years and it is a "contractor grade" unit--not the best quality. The regular maintenance has been worth it. We have had no repairs since the initial one. This unit is getting old and is now pulling more amps than it should, so I am considering a new purchase in the near future. The service technician, "Jeff", took time to answer all my questions and gave me his card, along with the current deal that Service Experts is offering. He recommended I call him directly if I was interested in getting an estimate and he would personally contact someone he trusted to my home to give me an estimate. Plan to do this (no cost for this) and then price compare.

They came out to clean my heating unit and then I was told that it was broken heat and exchange, and then I found out it was not. I was on a yearly plan with them and so after this incident I dropped the plan. They charged me to come out and service the unit. I had a coupon on it too. They came out and serviced it and then when I paid them the money and the coupon they told me that I had a broken heat and exchange. So, this other company was called out before they got the manufacturer to replace my unit. This other company found out that there was no broken heat and exchange and Donelson had to pay this other company just for coming out.

Our A/C died on 8/14/2013. Called Donelson on 8/15 to have someone come out to fix the A/C. It was going to cost almost $3500 to fix. I wasn't going to spend that kind of money on a 9 year old system. Mike from Donelson came over (that afternoon)and gave me several options. We decided to replace the whole system (A/C and furnace). The next day at 9am 2 installers from Donelson (Jason & Eric) were ripping out my old system and replaced it with a new Lennox 4 ton 17 seer unit. Eric and Jason were very friendly, knowledgeable, and neat. By 1:30 they had the new unit installed and cooling the house. They were great. We had used Donelson before and we are glad we went with them again. Everyone we dealt with has been very professional, knowledgeable and polite. We have had zero problems with Donelson and will continue to use them in the future.

I happened to be home from work (I travel a great deal), called this morning, July 26, and spoke with a scheduler who said that they could have someone come out today, later in the afternoon! Excellent! I was given a window of 2 - 4 PM for someone to come out. As promised, I was called approx. 20 minutes prior to the technician arriving. He came shortly thereafter, was very well-mannered and professional in manner and appearance. Knew what he was there to do (well prepped by dispatch), and was very careful to wear shoe protectors anytime he was in the house. He had to access interior units in the third-floor attic and in the crawl space, as well as the two outside. He went about his business, checking that all was operating fine. No coolant problems, all drainage was working. Maybe took about 2 hours. He checked out the non-functioning register - when he was in the crawl space, he found the run to that room (master bath), and noted that it was a single run, but there were two registers in the bathroom, one worked and one didn't. Said that that was a common way of installing - nothing really unusual there. However,when we went back to the bathroom, he was able to see that while there was a single feed into the floor beneath the bathroom cabinets, the cabinets had not been opened such that the air could flow into both registers! So even if it were opened, I'd have the same amount of air coming in, since it's the single feed from the main unit. So I knew why things worked as they did - apparently the one register had never worked! And it wouldn't make much difference if I had someone muck with the cabinet to open it up. And for this detective work, he charged me NOTHING! Thank you! When it came time to pay, I was offered the amount I was quoted, $59/unit - but I was also offered a more expensive option, $99/unit, that would get me two more maintenance visits, one for the upcoming winter and one for next summer, for one flat price! So I opted to pay $99/unit, for a total of $198. I felt they were professional and did good work, so I thought it in my interest to make that commitment. I would save money in the long run. It was not a pressure sell - I'm in sales, so I thought he was simply looking to make more business for his company, and it was very professionally handled. Well done! I would indeed recommend Donelson/Service Experts if you have HVAC service needs. Any questions...

Always good. Always prompt. They come when they say they will and call ahead of time. Very reliable.

I called the local telephone number, which is answered by a call center located in Florida, I think. The earliest date available was about 4 weeks. The service appointment was set for October 30 between Noon and 2 PM. About 1:15 I called to inquire as to when to expect arrival. About 1:35, the service tech called to say it would be about 45 minutes before he could be at my house because he was in another city and the job ran longer than expected. The tech arrived about 2:30. After checking the inside unit electric heat strips and air handler, he went outside and checked the outside condensing unit . There were no problems found. Altogether, it was about an hour or less before he was finished. I was satisfied with the service, except that the tech could have called sooner to say he would be late.

AC stopped cooling. Called for service. Compressor died on 13 year old unit. Asked for a quote on new HVAC unit, and company rep arrived within an hour. Quote was fair compared to two other local companies. Service Experts had the best warranty and could install next day which was Saturday. Arrive on time and installed unit in a professional way before noon. Very happy with job!

Every thing went very badly. The area manager sent me $42.00 for the service call the first "service expert" charged and then refused to do anything else at all. Calls to the Texas headquarters were refered back to the area manager. DO NOT EVER CALL THESE PEOPLE FOR ANYTHING

My problem was resolved by going to Lee Company and then hiring someone to repair the damage to my ceiling caused by the drain.

Great service, and they back up their work.

I have used them for several years and they have always done quality work.

They are good and the cost was reasonable.

They drive me crazy. They call me all the time trying to sell me their services, not even knowing that I am already a customer. We had a problem with the unit making a lot of noise and they told us that "that's just the way it is." When it got louder and louder, I called them back and they only semi-fixed the problem. Right now the system is under warranty so we are stuck with them but once the warranty is up, we will switch.
