I had no personal interaction with the serviceman other that the telephone - it was a small issue, but he handled it knowledgeably and at a good price. I would call them again.

Good price, especially when Home Depot quoted double for the same system. We also bought the 3 year Roscoe Brown warranty, which would cover labor if something fails in the new system. The crew was very professional and I was happy with the work. So far the new system is working great, and Rosco Brown will come back next fall to check it out for the winter as part of their installation service.
Description of Work: Split heat and air units installed for the upstairs. New blower and heating element in the attic, new condenser outside. Removal of old equipment.

I couldn't be happier. From the service call to the actual work done, as well as the price, everything was great.
Description of Work: Bradley came out earlier than their appointed time and were extremely helpful. The gentleman located the leaking pipe under the house, repaired the leak, and was done in less than 45 minutes. I would use Bradley again every time.

They're punctual. They come when they say they're going to come. I think the prices are fairly reasonable. They replaced our central unit in 2007. I think their service technicians are knowledgeable and nice.
Description of Work: Roscoe Brown Heating & Cooling replaced a major part in our central heat & air. We're silver members so we get a winterizing and summerizing for $69. They come out and check the freon for the summer. We have a contract but we could break it at any time.

I called Bradley Plumbing and spoke with a very professional lady in the office and we setup a date for the repair work. The team fixed my problems and the only thing that wasn't perfect was the clump of debris left in my kitchen sink. I had to take a paper towel and clean the sink and dispose of the debris in the trash. The team also left me two tools for my trouble! Karma, I guess.
Description of Work: An old, rusted garbage disposal was removed and replaced with a normal sink drain. The sink drain was also clogged so it was cleaned. Finally, a bathroom shower drain was unclogged.

I have used them for 10 plus years and continue to use them because they've always given me really good service. I think they're fairly priced. Their technicians are always very courteous in that they put covers on their shoes and protect their tools. They move about the house carefully. They do a good job. They're reliable and timely. I've never had them put me at the back of the list.

Our local water company put up a new pumping station near our home. About a week prior to putting it online, we received a postcard to advise us they would be firing up the station and if we did not have pressure regulator in place, the increase in water pressure from the new station could cause damage to our pipes. We had a small window of time to find a plumber in our area that could tell us if we had an appropriate regulator and install one, if necessary. We came to Angie's list and found Bradley plumbing with overall great reviews and they scheduled an appointment within a day or two. The plumber was timely, knowledgeable and professional. We also had them install a pressure valve on the water heater to prevent pressure backup on the pop-off valve, and all the work was done at once for a reasonable price, even though the water heater work was not scheduled. i will definitely use Bradley plumbing again when I need a plumber and would hghly recommend them to anyone I know that is in need of plumbing services. Thank you, Angie's list!

These guys are great I will use them every time!!
Description of Work: I have used these guys multiple times. They are always very professional and prompt. They are also very quick. They charge by the hour so it's nice they fixed 4 leaky faucets in about 40 minutes. So you have to pay for parts, and if they are under any sort of warranty they will find it . I got parts for one of my sinks for free b/c they knew about the warranties, which was wonderful b/c I didn't even know and I'm the home owner...

Excellent job; timely, efficient, correctly done, no over-sell, tidy, priced just where it should be. Showed me the problem, didn't try to oversell me on which new one to get or how much work, got the old one out just fine (and took it away), and left the area immaculate afterwards. I've used Bradley for other plumbing work in the past, and I'll definitely use them again.

Had a leak under kitchen sink. Looked like the sprayer attachment. Called Bradley Plumbing; they were able to send someone out that day. Todd confirmed it was the sprayer attachment. I decided to replace the whole faucet assembly with a faucet that has the sprayer that comes out of the faucet itself. Todd had some flexibility in his schedule, and after I made a quick run to Lowe's for the new faucet, he was able to return later that day and install new faucet. I was impressed.

The job was performed efficiently and professionally. They have come to our house before on other plumbing issues and would definitely recommend them to anyone! I am very happy with their service and prices.
Description of Work: The problem was a leaking ice maker line. We were unaware of the small leak which caused considerable damage to the hardwood floor. He advised us to call our insurance company. And he replaced the old line with a much better one which I wish Home Depot had installed with the new refrigerator in 2006! Live and learn to say the least! He gave us some good advice and help and took care of the problem quickly.

I continue to be amazed by this company. I have used them several times since moving here in 2010 at my home and at a rental property. They always come same day, and my experiences have been within 30 minutes of calling, although I usually call first thing. They came out and handled my problem today and warrantied it at no charge. As a side note, my son just moved to Murfreesboro from Nashville buying an older home. He needed an icemaker line run and a dryer vent run outside through the brick. The plumber (I'm sorry that I forgot his name) came promptly and installed the icemaker line, and I asked if they knew anyone I could call to handle the dryer vent. He said they could do it and proceeded to have Shane there in 30 minutes. The icemaker line and dryer vent were handled professionally. He wishes all the people he has used so far on his repairs/remodeling were as dependable as Bradley.
Description of Work: Shane came out this morning as soon as I called just like they always have and fixed a problem I had with water backing up in my toilets and showers when the washing machine drained. They pulled some roots from the line near the clean-out plug. Everything then worked perfectly.

My AC went out during the hottest week so far this summer. After having a bad service/response from two other companies I found the number for Roscoe Brown. I called Saturday afternoon, and they had a technician (Craig Collins) to my house in 45 minutes. Less than 30 minutes later I had AC. Craig recognized the problem right off (it was the capacitor). Keep in mind that the first place I called had arbitrarily cancelled my appointment (which I had made a week in advance). And the second guy replaced my fan motor and put in a capacitor that could only run the fan (and not the condenser) and wouldn't call me back. Then I called Roscoe Brown and I had a technician out there working on my unit in about 45 minutes. You can't beat that. I know who I'll be calling for AC and Heating issues from now on.
Description of Work: Roscoe Brown replaced my AC unit's capacitor. Also checked my coolant levels, and fan motor. The technician (Craig Collins) arrived within 45 minutes of first call on a Saturday afternoon during the hottest week of the summer. He immediately recognized what the issue was and got me an new capacitor he had in the truck so that I wouldn't be without AC for the rest of the weekend. Then Monday he verified the exact capacitor for my unit and came back out installed that one without further charge. After a week of no AC I had cool air moving in my house in about an hour's time from first call.

We've lived in our new home, that we built, for 6 years and have never had our A/C unit serviced or had any check-ups. Our unit seemed to be working just fine, but the temps were extremely high outside for a 2 week period and we thought it'd be a good idea for a check-up. My husband called and asked the price for an A/C check-up, and explained that the unit was working properly but just wanted a tech to come out to do an inspection/check-up; was told that it would be $69.00. My husband had already cleaned the unit, and had looked to see if he could see any signs of obvious repair needed (yes, my husband is VERY handy) and found nothing. When the tech arrived, my husband explained that the unit works fine, that he had already cleaned the unit and did a self inspection; the tech proceeded with cleaning the unit, even though my husband explained that it wasn't necessary since he'd already done it, did his inspection and proclaimed the unit to be in fine working condition, but that two capacitors on the unit weren't bad, but were going bad, and that it would cost $249 for the parts and labor, in addition to $99.95 for the check-up service. My husband told the tech that he was quoted $69 over the phone, the tech said "Well, I've done a little more than inspection - I cleaned the unit". My husband reminded him that the unit was already cleaned when he arrived, and that he communicated this to him, and that we would ONLY be paying what we were quoted over the phone. My husband wrote a check for $69 and the tech didn't argue further. My husband also ordered the 2 capacitors online for $40.25 and replaced them himself, taking all of 5 minutes. Trying to scam my husband out of an additional $30 for proclaiming to "clean up our unit" let's us know not to call this service provider in the future as we feel that is dishonest, and not worthy of our trust.
Description of Work: Wanted a simple A/C unit check-up. Our unit works fine, but hadn't been inspected since it's purchase 6 years ago.

Bradley worked with me on time frame and cost, so that helped a LOT. I now have all new drains and a new sewer and will be calling them again soon to complete the plumbing for my new attic conversion. Great company to work with
Description of Work: It started as a small job - the drains were backing up, so I called Bradley because multiple people had recommended themThey were great - punctual, professional, and honored their work. It turned into a MUCH larger project, with my sewer line to the street needing to be replaced, and with the lines continuing to back up (b/c of the sewer line being old and damaged) I decided to go ahead and replace all the cast iron drains in the house.

I signed a contract for one year that includes a fall check up as well. No pay in advance, just 69.00 for each check up at time of services rendered.

Given that one the plumbers from Bradley Plumbing went under the house in August 2011 to troubleshoot for water pressure issues (no problems were found), shower backup and sewage smell issues (2 of the same issues I am dealing with now) I am a bit disturbed that these problems were not discover and corrected at that time. In between the troubleshooting services and work performed by Bradley Plumbing, but before the crawlspace plumbing issues were discovered by the roofer, I had Bradley Plumbing do a larger job on an investment property (a property that was vacant) in April 2012. When I received the bill on 5/4/2012 via mail, the bill total of $1,483.25 seemed outrageous. When I questioned the bill and the missed troubleshooting issues (now known and repaired by the roofer- I felt obligated to have the roofer repair the problems after he spent his time finding the problems) via email to Terry Bauer, he said he would look into the problems. On Monday 5/7/2012, Terry met with me at my house. He went into the crawlspace and saw where the strapping was installed by the roofer and where the powder room toilet had leaked. He had no explanation as to how these issues were missed by their plumber. Terry stated that he wished that I had contacted him to make the repairs since he viewed this as a warranty issue (see the ?warranty offer? parts later) as a result of Bradley Plumbing missing the problems. He said that they would have repaired the problems for free since they messed up. I told him that I paid the roofer $250.00 to fix the problems so I would like the investment property bill reduced by that amount. He said he wasn?t sure he could do that. I told him it would be cheaper than sending their plumbers out to my house for the 7-8 hours it took the roofer so it was actually a better solution for all. He said that I would have to speak with the owner, Brad Rayls. While Terry was at my house, he reviewed the investment property bill, spoke to my contractor (who was there when the plumber came out and purchased parts for the plumber) and spoke to the plumber. After 15 minutes or so Terry determined that I was overbilled by $160.00 for parts that were never used. My contractor still insists that he gave the plumber more parts and, as a result, I am still being billed for parts that the plumber did not provide. As a result of Terry already admitting that the bill was $160.00 too high, my continuing concern that the bill was still wrong and the undiscovered problems at my house along with Terry?s ?warranty offer?, Terry set up a day and time for me to meet with the owner of Bradley Plumbing, Brad Rayls, on Friday 5/11/2012 at 1601 Flat Rock Rd, Murfreesboro, TN 37130. I arrived at the meeting and after a few short minutes it became clear that this was not a meeting intended to make a customer happy. It was an assault on me. Brad?s position was that the ?warranty offer? that Terry gave me was not correct and that Bradley Plumbing would not have repaired the items for free. The best he would offer on that issue was to refund the $85.00 troubleshooting invoice I paid in August 2011 since the problems were not correctly identified. Regarding the investment property bill, Brad?s position was that the bill was now correct (after the $160.00 was taken off) and that I should be happy that the bill was correct. When I expressed my concern that the bill was still not correct he said it was correct. When I told him that if I had not brought up that the bill seemed too high I would have overpaid by at least $160.00 and that as a result of the inconvenience of receiving an incorrect bill and having to spend time with 2 meetings (with Terry and Brad) just to get the bill corrected that I deserved to have the bill reduced further. I brought up examples of other businesses who provide excellent customer service and bend over backwards to make customers happy when those businesses mess up. Brad did not want to hear it. Terry slammed his fist on the counter and told me that I was the problem with America because I wanted something for nothing. I took exception for this since all I wanted was a correct bill and by the admission of Brad and Terry the bill was not correct at first and I still thought it was not correct. I told them that I felt ripped off and that they should rectify that. Brad said that the bill was a mistake by their billing people, but not done intentionally. I told Brad and Terry that I did not think the bill was purposely inflated, but that I had no confidence that it was correct even after the $160.00 was taken off and that I should not ?be happy? that the bill was correct now. I told them that is was Bradley Plumbing?s duty to give me a correct bill, not something that I should be happy about. At that point Terry threatened to place a mechanics lien on the investment property if I did not pay the bill right then. Given that I only had the bill for 7 days at that point and have a legitimate reason to believe that it is not accurate, that statement made me very angry. However, due to having to sell the property (which Terry knew), I had no choice and paid the full bill less the $85.00 and $160.00. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied. No legitimate business would take such an attitude with a repeat customer who has legitimate concerns over the service quality and incorrect billing and threaten to lien their property when the bill had only been out for 7 days. I was treated poorly, and in my opinion, in bad faith by a business that I used to have high regard for. In summary, if you want to have troubleshooting issues missed, be over billed for work performed, be accused of what is wrong with America and then threatened with mechanics lien when engaged in legitimate billing dispute then use Bradley Plumbing. If not, call another plumber.
Description of Work: Due to a personal referral and good reviews on Angie's List, I used Bradley Plumbing several times for smaller troubleshooting jobs and repairs. Everything seemed fine with them and their work. The plumbers and Terry Bauer (their dispatch person) were always professional and I was always willing to work with them when they had to change scheduling or send out a different plumber. I was always happy with their service. However, over time it became clear that problems were missed that their plumbers should have found when they did their troubleshooting service. Later, Bradley Plumbing admitted to over billing for fairly substantial work performed on an investment property. See details below. 1st Missed Problem – The 1st missed problem was a master bathroom shower floor/drain leak that had damaged the garage ceiling below it. Since the house was a foreclosure and there was no seller to ask about the problem, I figured that I should hire a plumber to check the problem out and make sure that it was old water damage and not an active leak. In March 2011, the plumber came out, ran water through the said it was not leaking. He ran water down the shower drain and said everything was dry and as a result, I had another contractor re-tile the shower floor and repair the damage to the garage ceiling with the knowledge that the drain was fine. Unfortunately, it only took a few showers for the garage ceiling to clearly show water damage. I had that contractor tear up the shower floor (again), but this time we went all the way down to the drain and discovered that the builder had nailed the drain through the rubber shower seal. That contractor fixed the leak, but it cost me 2 shower floor tile jobs and 2 garage ceiling repairs as a result of the missed troubleshooting service by Bradley Plumbing. At the time, I gave Bradley Plumbing a pass on this missed troubleshooting service since it is possible that they did everything right and no one would have found the leak at the time they did the troubleshooting service. Also, they were always nice so I just let it go. 2nd Missed Problem – The 2nd missed problem occurred when I had Bradley Plumbing out to my house in early April/May 2011 to replace leaking washing machine hookup valves that I discovered shortly after moving into the house. When the plumber from Bradley Plumbing came out to look at the hookup he confirmed that the valves needed to be replaced. I told him to make any repairs necessary to prevent a future problem and when he was finished he hooked up the washing machine. After a few days of using the washing machine, the washing machine drain hose worked itself out of the drain hole and flooded the laundry room floor resulting in my kitchen ceiling being below being significantly damaged, carpet being soaked and the swelling of the next door closet door frame. When I had a contractor out to the house to fix the damage (after we dried everything out) and assess the washing machine hookup to determine how the hose worked itself out of the drain hole, he was shocked to find out that I had a plumber out to the house to replace the valves and he did not use a simple clamp to secure the washer drain hose. As a result of something that the plumber should have noted and suggested, it cost me $350 to fix the ceiling damage, plus I had to shampoo and dry the carpets and my closet door still has unrepaired damage. 3rd Missed Problem – The 3rd missed problem occurred in August 2011 when I had Bradley Plumbing out to my house to troubleshoot some possible plumbing problems at the house. My wife and I had noticed a sewer smell in our powder room, the master bathroom toilet clogged a lot and one time when the master bathroom was flushed there was a popping type of sound and sewage came out of the master bathroom shower. It was pretty nasty. Also, the water pressure in the house seemed weak on the 2nd floor especially when there was more than one faucet on. The plumber from Bradley Plumbing came out and after some testing determined that the water pressure was fine. That issue was resolved. For the issues with the powder room smell, master bathroom shower drain backup and master bathroom toilet clogging, the plumber flushed the toilets and went under the house in the crawl space and found no issues and no leaks. He said that the problem was probably due to the builder grade toilets in the house and recommended that we replace them. Due to his recommendation, I did replace the toilets (handled by another contractor). Unfortunately, this did not resolve the powder room smell and in April 2012, the guest bathroom tub drain backed up worse than the master bathroom shower did when the master bathroom toilet was flushed. Due to this same type of problem occurring again I called Bradley Plumbing and scheduled a day for them to come out and do a comprehensive troubleshooting service on 5/4/2012. I told the dispatcher that I wanted to have the roof checked out since I wanted to rule out the plumbing vents on the roof being clogged as a potential cause of the problem. He didn’t think that the roof vents had anything to do with the problem, but the popping sound that occurred just before the showers backed up made me think that a pressure issue might be the cause of the backups. As a result, I scheduled for a roofer to come out to my house to check the roof vents in the afternoon of 5/3/2012 (the day before my schedule appointment with Bradley Plumbing). I called Bradley Plumbing at around 3:15 PM to confirm my appointment for the next morning, but the owner answered and said he was not in the office and did not have access to the calendar and could only say that if Terry (the dispatcher) scheduled it then we were still on. I was having unrelated work done on my house and that contractor was taking longer than expected, which messed up my afternoon schedule thus pushing work that I had planned to the next day. At the same time, the roofer informed me that he was running a few hours behind and he would not be able to come by until after 6:30 PM at the earliest, if at all. Due to my concern of my schedule being changed for the next day (5/4) as a result of having to stay at my house much later than planned and concern that the roofer might not make it all, I promptly emailed Terry at 3:34 PM that I would need to reschedule our appointment for another day. I really wanted to rule out the roof vents as an issue before I paid Bradley Plumbing $85/hour to root around my house. As it turns out, the roofer did eventually make it out to my house at around 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, when he got here he figured out that he did not have a ladder long enough to make it up on my roof. Since he was already at my house and he does other non-roofing work, he offered to go into the house crawlspace to look for any plumbing problems. It took him about 30 minutes to find 2 plumbing problems. The 1st problem, which he found in less than 2 minutes, was a long run of drain pipe that exited the house that was clearly sagging in the middle resulting in it not having a proper run. He determined that the sag was probably due to insufficient strapping since that run has pipes all the way from the 2nd floor draining into it and the weight of those pipes caused the sag. He stated that he was very surprised that Bradley Plumbing did not notice this problem when they completed their troubleshooting service at my house and went into the crawlspace. The 2nd problem, which took longer to find, was the powder room plumbing under the sink. He thought that the toilet flange was never properly installed by the builder. Further troubleshooting the next day led to the discovery that the builder had installed the flange on the plywood subflooring and then later installed real sand and stain hardwood flooring, which is about 1” think, resulting in a gap between the toilet drain and the flange. This caused sewage to leak out around the flange and sewer gas to escape, thus explaining the issues in the powder room.

Regarding the letter/complaint from the former customer it makes more sense to talk about the truths rather than the untruths because there are so many untruths. The truth is we have worked for this gentleman a total of five times in the course of the last year and a half…the truth is we never had one complaint in that time…the truth is he was overbilled by our bookkeeper. We took full responsibility and gave him his $160 back because he had it coming…the truth is the gentleman demanded $250 off of his current bill in addition to us correcting our mistake using the analogy that he always gets free stuff when he complains…“everybody does that” he said and went on to name all of the different companies to whom he had done that in the past. We will not be fleeced. The truth is I didn’t threaten a mechanics lien I promised a mechanics lien…The truth is he chose to pay the bill rather than explain to a judge he was trying to fleece us out of $250.00. As a consumer I would never pay a bill that I didn’t owe, would you? I think not.

Had to have a new water heater put in for my daughter after purchasing a hud home. The date of closing kept changing and they were very nice about changing the install date. Finally had the closing and they were out there on time and kept in contact with me when they were on their way. Installed the water heater and turned the water on. Forgot to tell my son in law he was turning it on and the sink faucet was left on by and inspector and they didn't know it. Bradley Plumber guy went into the bathroom to check the water and the sink was clogged and was flooding the bathroom. LOL. My son in law went back out and turned off the water and had a real mess to clean up. Plumber was out.... But all in all a good experience. OH don't forget to use the coupon. He said we were the only ones that even used it. Save $20. $20 is $20 right?

Now they cannot schedule and arrange mere estimates or due dates because something seriously wrong with their dispatch and the owner defends this guy !!!!! Got real rude with me on the phone. They lost me forever because of this. I forgave them from years ago not sealing a pipe correctly with a guy that would make the moves on every woman of any house!!! But this was years ago. Just, really, I don't think they check their guys out. Thought maybe they were getting better because they seemed to be good for a few years, but now with whoever Brad has in dispatch, it is the worst possible arrangement ever !!! IF YOU ACTUALLY GET THEM TO DO THE WORK, THEY ARE OK, just be warned about inconveniences to your work schedule and round and round phonecalls! ** In response to the below via Brad Rayls. I used them since 1998 and they have no records? The guy that used to flirt with all the women no longer works there, but believe me, I do notice how inappropriate that is and I do not make stuff up. There was a guy that sealed a pipe once that was by the meter. It leaked. Bradley resealed, and that same line again, it leaked, they resealed again, and then it busted 8 yrs later. Being this was so many years later, it would be hard to determine if it broke in another place than which Bradley re-sealed it. All was done in same approx. place in meter box.. I used Bradley to fix the meter box line bust in 2008 and they did an emergency fix. Their pricing was the best and I figured they still have good people working, minus that one bad guy. Anyway, as far as emails sent and round and round, I AM NOT AN UNDECISIVE person, nor did I have problems with dispatch prior to this incident which cost Bradley a customer of 14 yrs.
Description of Work: Used them for years. They were good. Now cannot even get an estimate and setup due dates !!! IF you can actually get them out, they probably are ok, just my experience was seriously negative.

I find this complaint puzzling. After a review of our records, we found that we had worked for this customer one time in 2008. There were no complaints made after we did the work in 2008, and no record of a pipe being sealed incorrectly. Warranty calls take top priority in our daily schedule, so if there was a problem in 2008, it would have been promptly taken care of. Also, after being in business for almost 30 years, I have never had a customer make any statement that even remotely suggests that my employees would “make the moves on every woman of any house.” My employees are put through the most rigorous background check in the business, and we aren’t talking about a cheap internet investigation here either. We use a well respected investigation company that leaves no stone unturned. It’s expensive but we believe it is worth every penny. A large part of the customer’s complaint is that we have difficulty scheduling estimates and showing up. We admit that, this time in particular, we had scheduled an estimate between 2:30-3:00 and at 3:05 she called checking on our arrival time. My office manager apologized and explained that we didn’t have any service techs in the area yet and offered to drop what he was doing and head right out to her house. She seemed okay with that but then flew off the handle when she was told that we were two weeks out on digging jobs at that time. She canceled everything and said she would get somebody else. Approximately one month later she called back and said she had made no progress on her project and asked if we would still give her an estimate. We agreed and promptly did just that, but she demanded that we email her a written quote that laid out in detail the scope of the project. All things considered we thought that was a great idea because of our previous difficulty in dealing with her and sent an email four days prior to the dig date and requested that she formally accept the job via email. The company email was checked every day, and on the morning of the scheduled job, there was still no reply so we considered the job to be cancelled, especially considering how indecisive she had been from the start. In conclusion, I’m not sure why the customer didn't call to complain in 2008. It is very rare for a customer to have a warranty problem and not call us immediately to fix it. It is even rarer for a customer to have a bad experience and then come back for more. I’m wondering if she has us confused with another plumbing company, especially since she said she had “used them for years” and we have no records to show that this was the case.

Every time they come out they are very friendly, and I thought they were on par with the normal. I have been thrilled with the work they have done in the past.

The two plumbers who came arrived on time, they were clean and professional. , They laid a cloth down, they removed our existing toilets, and installed the new ones. They the went under the house to run a pipe, drill a hole in the brick, and install the new spicket.
Description of Work: My husband and I have used Bradley plumbing for our plumbing needs for approximately 15 years and we have always received excellent service. The last experience in May 2011 was the same. They changed two toilets for us and they ran a pipe and installed a new spicket on the back of our house.
