 + 0 moreOverall, we are very happy with the work performed. However, some of the wood used does not seem to bewhat I would consider 'A' grade, particularly the post at the very front of the steps leading up to the deck. The initial scheduled start date was cancelled on short notice and then rescheduled for later in the week due to weather delays, but after that, there were no other major issues. The fence is very nicely stepped down to acommodate the slope of the yard and matches the other portion of fence that was partially installed by another contractor and finished by my husband. We did have to ask that the fence posts be trimmed to a consistant height before the contractor left, but it was only a couple of minutes to complete and didn't seem like an issue.
Description of Work: Installed a 10'x12' deck purchased as a 'Angie's Deal' with additional rails, extra steps, and approximately 60' of fence with two gates.

I wanted to enclose an entry to make a mudroom and needed some help with getting materials and doing the construction part. Jason was great, purchasing the materials needed for me since I had no way to get them. He knew I had limited to time to get it done and even worked on a Saturday to finish the job. It turned out great!

 + 0 moreI only had gutters cleaned but I have a really high and steep roof which I'm unable to reach. I was impressed with the fast communication and the price. The person who came was very nice, informative and helpful. I showed him a particular area I was worried with and he listened and reported back to me. He did work fast and when I need to get work done in the future I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

 + -1 moreCommunication may have been the break down here. I cannot fault their work or their work ethic. I was not told that the 8 hours were man hours, and was not told until way after the point of no return. I fault myself for not asking, but I fault them for not being up front with me after the time had run out. Jason is a smooth talker and writes eloquent emails and responses. I am sure he will set the record straight, and as we all know, there are 3 sides to every story. My story, his story and the real story. :-)

 + 1 moreCall on a monday, they said they would come out on Thursday to perform the job. Contacted me early Wednesday morning to let me know that he would be out that day. Came out on a Wednesday to pressure wash the deck, which took about an hour or so. Then he said that the deck would need to dry before he could seal it. We agreed that he would come back on Monday of the next week to complete the job. Didn't hear from him on Monday, so I shot him a message on Tuesday morning. He came out on Tuesday afternoon and apparently sealed the deck in about 30 minutes. He called me that afternoon to let me know the job had been done.

 + 2 moreI was totally impressed with the work that Jason did, from Arrow Roofing and Solar, to my deck. He was professional and even took care with the bluebird and swallow houses that had been on the deck railings! He was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and was extremely efficient. He listened to my needs and was very helpful and kind in his follow-through of work. The deck looks even better than it did when I purchased the new home over a decade ago. The original home workmanship (from the original builder) was not the best, and Jason corrected the flaws. I also had him assess the roof while he was here and he gave me an honest analysis. I would highly recommend Arrow Roofing and Solar for any associated home care needs. Jason was reliable, knowledgeable, honest and efficient. He returned or answered my calls about the project quickly. His work was professional. These are all qualities I prefer in any company I work with. I plan to have him back for roofing care in the near future.

Description of Work: They installed the gutter guards for 50 feet and did maintenance and cleaning as part of the original deal. Then convinced me I needed to install 110 feet more for $300 dollars to be covered. I agreed but asked that they repair a corner where it had been leaking. Jason said they would, but did not while on the job that day. When it rained again I realized it had not been repaired as promised. I called and Jason said they would be here the following Friday to caulk it. They never showed up ! It was a small request that only required a little caulking, I felt I had been taken advantage of with the extended gutter guard coverage. Since I cannot get up on the roof to check to see just what they did for the extra $300, after they did not come back for such a small repair, I am wondering if they really gave me the gutter guard coverage I paid for.I have not been able to get someone to check on their work to date but I hope to soon. I could not recommend them to anyone. This was my first experience with Angie's List. I hope future ones will turn out better.

 + 1 moreJason, the owner of the company was excellent in his communications with me. He got to our job fast and in fact a day earlier than expected and we were delighted with this! Jason and Josiah arrived on time that day in a nice truck with professional signage on the sides. They were dressed professionally in nice company polo shirts. They were polite and respectful, did the job fast and right and cleaned up after themselves. The length of our gutters exceeded the length specified in the deal and Jason let me know beforehand hat it would cost more to do the complete cleaning. I am very happy with the job and their professionalism exceeded my expectations. Thanks Guys!

As our deck had been previously stained, there was an additional cost of $40 for the stain. Two guys came out and did a fantastic job. My wife is extremely happy with the results of this job.

I used them probably about six months I guess. I actually did some extra service with them as well. They ended up redoing the gutters on the house so they did a great job and again their services were very reasonable.
