Description of Work: Chaz was a pleasure throughout the whole experience. Very patient and hard working. He hung 3 chandeliers, 1 ceiling fan for us and hung/secured some large artwork to the wall. Would definitely use him again

Description of Work: Chaz and Shelia came out a month ago and gave me an estimate for the work I needed done. We decided it was best to break the work down into separate projects, with the deck and fence repairs being the first phase. Shelia did a wonderful job staying in contact and making sure we were getting the right materials for the job. Chaz showed up on time on April 29 and proceeded to work on the deck removing some rotted wood and replacing them with new boards. The job ended up being harder than we expected, but Chaz did a great job getting all the old wood out and replacing six 16 foot boards with brand new boards. Chaz then moved to the fence and replaced some fence boards that needed replaced and fixed up my sagging gates. He then took the time to fix all the week points on the top of fence where the fence was not put together correctly or the cap and trim was falling off. This is the first phase of the work, with Chaz coming back at the end of the month to finish up the other half of the fence, powerwash and strip my deck, and then stain the deck.. While doing the first phase of this work, Chaz worked very hard and was very focused on getting the job done right. I look forward to his return.

Description of Work: Had a "laundry" list of small items to do including doors that wouldn't latch,hanging items,installing closet hooks and clothes rods,etc.

Description of Work: I needed to replace the flapper valve cover on the outlet of a bathroom exhaust vent (similar to the outdoor cover on a dryer vent). The cover was about 15-20 feet above ground and required the use of an extension ladder. Chaz used a vacuum to clean any debris in the exhaust tube, mounted a new cover and sealed the rim with caulk. A first rate job.

Description of Work: I wanted new flooring in my Master bathroom...since I had carpeting previously. And a panel of my house siding had come off during a storm...and I needed it replaced.

Description of Work: Chaz reattached a gutter that had some loose and replaced the weather stripping around my garage door.

Description of Work: Stair railing install, dryer outside vent and bathroom outside vent install, adjusted window and screen door.

Description of Work: Company has a 2 hour minimum and trip charge. Our work took about 2 1/2 hours and in that time Chaz reattached our second story downspout and strapped in place, installed a floor outlet in our living room, aimed a second story security light, and measured our back door for a storm door.

Description of Work: Removal and installation of drapery rods for two windows, installation of 7 new drapery rods, installation of a new light kit & fixture in hall, troubleshooting for and installation of 5 hard-wired smoke detectors, fixing a loose lock on front door, installation of landscape bulb where pin had broken off and lodged in receptacle, resetting timer for landscape lighting, installation of bulbs inside & outside on upper or high levels difficult to reach, caulking around countertop in bathroom, pick up of large piece of plywood at Home Depot for another project, hanging of a large, heavy mirror.

Description of Work: I needed to have a handicap ramp built for my aging mother. Multitask came and measured and spoke with us about building the ramp to ADA specifications out of decking materials that would connect to the deck we already had in place..

Description of Work: One of our toilets was leaking and as a result, the hardwood floor was damaged and needed replacement. Initially, I thought the toilet seal needed replacement and then the part of the floor. I called several handyman services and found Multitask could accommodate me in a short notice. There were other companies (outside of Angie's List) that I called but they were not reasonable in my opinion. In any case, Chaz came right on time, was very courteous and immediately started working. Once he removed the toilet, he discovered that the flange was broken. He told me that it was beyond his expertise to replace a broken flange and I needed to call dedicated plumbing service. I did and Chaz also talked to the Plumbing Company to clearly explain the problem. To cut a long story short, Chaz removed the rotten wood floor on his first day of the job and then left. The plumbing folks came and worked on the toilet in the following day. Then Chaz came back promptly and installed the wood floor. He was very meticulous and perfectionist. The floor looks new. We are very happy with the quality of work.

Description of Work: We have a 2000 sq ft 2 story house. Chaz cleaned all the gutters including the downspouts.

Description of Work: We had an outlet that kept blowing a fuse and we couldn't find the cause. Chaz started by replacing the switch, then replacing the outlet and checking to be sure that the problem had been fixed. He also replaced the fuse box cover for us which involved removiing and adapting an adjacent switchplate.

Description of Work: Chaz and Sheila came over for the estimate and spent time discussing what needed to be done how the best way to go about it. I like that they suggested ways to we could lower the cost of their time by purchasing products on our own and having things ready for Chaz when he came to install the ceiling fans and work on some light switches. They provided an estimate that was pretty much spot on. Chaz showed up on the day, on time, and went right to work. He installed 4ceiling fans and switched two light switchesaround. and even put some graphite on the sticking door. We would hire them again in a minute for any type of handyman work needed around the house.

Description of Work: Assembly of a large piece of in-home exercise equipment, connection of a DVD player to a TV, and connection of a remote control lift device to a lift chair.

Description of Work: Contacted Chas and Sheila to quote for a mixture of maintenance and refurbishment jobs we had been putting off. these included: Pressure wash and seal the driveway and path (approx 2300 sq ft) Repair and stain the elevated deck running length of rear of property Replace vinyl dryer exhaust vent with metal Clean guttering all round and clean siding to dormer windows Replace bulbs for exterior security halogen lamps Chas and Sheila provided a detailed quote indicating that Chas would supply all labor and equipment including hire where appropriate, and asking us to purchase the materials to be used. Chas pointed out several options to us to replace rotted or twisted spindles on the deck railing and identified that where nails had been used to put the boards in place they had been insufficient to stand the twisting of the wood over time and screws should be used to replace them. He identified several options with regard to finish on the deck and reccomended a textured product called Deck Restore. He explained this was more costly and would involve more labor but gave a very good explanation of the benefits. We agreed on the price they quoted overall and the scheduled time to come with us to Home Depot to purchase the materials. Chas and Sheila were very charming during thir time with us at HomeDepot ging over the materials they were reccomending. At no time did we feel pressured to purchasing one thing or another. When it came time to pay Chas offered us the use of his Veterans discount to allow us to secure a 10% discount on the purchase which was an added benefit we had not expected. We trasnported the items back to store in our garage to and Chase reminded us to keep the receipt as if anything was unused we could return it to Home Depot for a refund. In fact we did return several items which he did not use and did in fact receive a refund of over $100. I found this whole process, although a little time consuming, extremely useful to know what was being used and was heartily encouraged at Chas' open book apporach. We agreed that he would start work in around 2 weeks from that initial trip.

Description of Work: Chaz and Sheila organized our garage after the flood. Great affordable ideas and ways to make use of every space. Listened to what I wanted and did the work in a timely manner.
