DO NOT HIRE JOHN. I REPEAT... DO NOT HIRE JOHN. If I could, I would give him negative stars. My mother paid him in full and deck started peeling a week later. I called him and he said he would come to fix it the next day. Never showed. Now he will not answer the phone calls. I guess she is going to have to take him to court.

John did a fantastic job.. I would highly recommend him.

Did not do the work properly. Would not respond back to calls, to solve problems. We hired him to clean and seal our pavers, it looked like he sprayed it with water instead of sealant. We had to purchase sealant and apply it ourselves to finish job.

Spraying fence or flat surface ok but porch should been done by hand not spray missed alot. Wife opinion. I done it again with brush

Mr John Townsley was very nice and professional. He did a very good job cleaning and staining my small patio deck. He also agreed to stain some exposed unfinished wood studs in my screened porch. The only thing is I think it was a bit pricey, even with my senior and cash discounts... ($675). But very happy with the work.

I agree with those who say John is a great guy. He told me that he had been doing a lot of driveway jobs and I would imagine (and the comments suggest) that he does this well. But I hired him to remove stubborn old stain on a wood deck and replace it. I was hesitant to do the power washing myself because I know people who dont know what they're doing can gouge the wood. He said he was experienced and knew what he was doing. He not only gouged the wood at a few places but didn't prep the sides of the house and stripped paint off the siding on the house while spray washing. He patched this with a color a few shades too light and said he wouldnt charge extra for the work or paint. Overall he did a good job on the deck itself and I was satisfied with much of his work. He did miss a couple of places on painting the deck. He never returned my calls about spots he did not coat. (Others have also said they had this problem with him.) I was busy with work and did not supervise him well. I suspect he might do a good job for you if you oversee him. I cant comment on value for the money. His bid seemed reasonable and I did not bicker.

He was accessible via cell to respond to questions that i posed. I give him high commendations for this job.

Showed up on time. Listened to what I wanted. Did the job himself. Beautiful professional job.My neighbor across the street gave me a thumbs up. I was very happy with the finished product. Would definitely call him again. Already recommended him to a friend.

Arrived on time each day, did good work and made deck and ramps much more sturdy. A bit messy after finished, picked up larger pieces of wood and piled up out of the way, but left a lot of small pieces with nails and screws sticking out of wood. Left sawdust which could have been swept or blown away.

Was able to paint our old house in a couple days at a very reasonable price (after a top-rated company I'd hired 4 months before never got the job done!) Very pleased with his work. He's going to do our decks and fix a leaky roof as well.

John was easy to communicate with, did good work for a good price. Hard working and honest.
