+ -1 moreHeck it only took about 10 minutes. He removed the heavy buildup from about 4 feet of drain in the shower and then snaked it to make sure that it was fully clear. He also informed me on what to do to prevent the buildup and what needed to be fixed in the shower basin to prevent buildup from going into the drain and building up in the pipe. I got the real impression they would rather have me informed than have to call them back all the time. I realy appreciate that.
Description of Work: Unclogged a drain that I could not no matter what I used. Very professional and informative.

Description of Work: Plumber arrived on time and was very professional. He fixed a leak in one faucet and put a washer in another faucet and also put a valve in toilet that was leaking. Charged me $130.00, the parts were 22.00 and the rest was labor. I thought he did a good job.

The price on my receipt did not reflect the 10% discount for being a member of Angie's List but they said the price quoted already reflected the discount when I asked about it. I am happy they fixed my problem.

+ -1 moreThe plumber corrected all the problems to our satisfaction. He arrived at the promised time, was polite and neat, even answering some questions I had regarding a possible future project. I even used an Angie's coupon for a percentage off the cost.
Description of Work: The master bath shower diverter was leaking and the shower head needed cleaning out. Also, the drain stoppers in two lavatories had become detached.

+ 0 moreOverall - BUYER BEWARE of their pricing. While I am sure this plumber does great work, the three other estimates I received were all at least a $1000 less that Ray E Baker. And no roofer was required.
Description of Work: Due to luke warm water in the house the plumber was called out to inspect the water heaters. One water heater was not working and due to the age of the other water heater the plumber recommended replacing both. The plumber gave an estimate of $3000. They also recommended a roofer to patch any work done to the vent pipe.

Description of Work: I called to have a slow draining bathtub with leaky handles fixed. Asked about having a running toilet fixed while plumber was here. Bob fixed the leaky handles, got out a huge clog I couldn't reach with my own tools from the tub, and fixed my running toilet, too.

+ -1 moreIt went great. He worked non-stop for three hours. I was fearing the bill could be three times what it was. I will definitely call Ray Baker again for any plumbing issue I may ever have. I immediately began to sing their praises to my friends & family.
Description of Work: I had all kinds of issues with the plumbing in my kitchen - with the water line, the drain, the leaking sink drain, etc. Michael with Ray Baker was incredible. He worked at a running pace the whole time in an effort to save me money. He could not have been more professional & conscientious. Considering all he had to do I know he saved me a lot of money by my just observing his pace.

It took longer than it should have but the weather was bad and the owner was not able to get his trucks on the road I do wish that we were better advised on turning on the water. I think the teants left it on for the entire 3 days until the plumber could show up. This resulted in flooding. We are out of town landlords and could not actively manage the situation. Even so, I feel the company is well managed and although we paid a bit more, their pricing for the job was not excessive
Description of Work: My tenants complained of low water pressure on a Sunday afternoon. Ray E Baker answering service got me in touch with the owner. Unfortunately the company was not able to provide emergency services. That was stated in the Angies List profile but I missed it. Also unfortunate was the advice that the lines might be frozen and to turn the taps on in several locations so it "might break free" So the tenants turned on the water and we waited two days for service due to major ice and snow. When Ray E Baker got out to the house, they found a broken line and too much flooding to properly fix it. They did a temporary repair for abbot $110 (I was given 10% off for being an Angies list member.) Unfortunately since they couldn't do the full repair due to flooding and as such, I could have gotten a Bigger discount and would not have had to pay for two service calls. Probably wouldn't have had the flooding if we weren't advised to turn on the taps...... Thet were supposed to come back in a week but the paperwork got misfiled. I called to find out what was going on with the permanent repair. They then scheduled the repair and worked the tenants directly for an appointment. The repair was completed for another 350

+ -1 moreThe man was fine. He came and did what he had to do. Everything is fixed fine. I have had them do work on my tub before. He did not make a big mess. The only thing that irritated me was that I think the man fell on the toilet seat and broke it and did not tell me. He said it was already broken. They show up when they are supposed to and they do not leave a mess. I will use them again but I will request another gentleman to do the work.
Description of Work: Ray E Baker fixed a leak in a toilet and issues with the lever, as well as checking my other 2 toilets as well to make sure they were running right.

Description of Work: Bob was great. wonderful experience. He made my garbage disposal fit underneath my new deep kitchen sink and I had another guy tell he would have to re-do the plumbing and it could get costly. He was there to fix a leak and figured that out quickly and it was not expensive. I also asked him to install a soap dispenser even though that was not on his list of things to do. He did it without attitude and was very pleasant the entire time and professional. He was able to fix the leak, move my garbage disposal and place the soap dispenser(which he had to drill a hole) and all for $170.00. Will definitely call again if more plumbing needs arise. Thanks for a great experience.

+ 1 more1. Extraordinarily well. Very good, efficient, polite, honest, and professional. Would use them again without hesitation, and would recommend them to anyone! 2. Again, wonderfully well. Wouldn't use anyone else. They completely redid all the plumbing in our guest bath, installed all the fixtures we bought, and exceeded our expectations in every way. The end result was so good, our bathroom remodel made the local newspaper!

+ -1 moreWhen I called in the morning to schedule an appointment I was told it would be the afternoon, and it was. The plumber came in the afternoon and was very professional and got all the jobs done. The clogged bathtub was the big challenge and most time consuming, but he was able to unstop it. The two leaky faucets were fixed quickly. For the price we were able to get three things fixed, that is very reasonable. I would use them again. I had not used them before.
Description of Work: We had a bathtub with a stubborn clog. Water was backing up into the tub from the sink. REB Plumbing removed the clog. While they were here we also had them fix two leaky faucets.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I have lived for over thirty years in a house built in 1905. So, as you can imagine, we?ve had a few plumbing problems. And when one occurs. we call Ray Baker. The plumbers they send are always friendly, competent and aware that they have to be careful around rugs and furniture. Recently we had an old problem resurface, leaking water lines in the dining room ceiling, where copper lines for an upstairs bathroom were soldered to old lead pipes. This marriage is never a secure one and no one can say how long a successful repair might last. After much difficulty, the repair was made and the leaks stopped. Rather than just leave after the fix, the men Ray Baker sent, went into the basement, found the feed for the troublesome lines, and installed shut-off valves so that if and when this happens again, those lines can be closed without shutting off water in the whole house. They also devised a plan whereby if we ever want to run completely new lines to circumvent the old lead, it could be done through a closet, thereby avoiding damage to exposed walls some of which are wallpapered. It?s this kind of thoughtful involvement in their work that keeps me coming back to Ray Baker.
Description of Work: Fixed two leaking water lines in the dining room ceiling where copper lines for an upstairs bathroom had been joined to old lead lines many years ago.

+ -1 moreI had water coming out of one of my walls. It was the day after Thanksgiving. I called at 9:00am in the morning and the guy was at my house at 11:00am. He spent about an hour and a half going in and out of my attic several times. He finally found a pin hole leak in one of the pipes and was able to repair it. It apparently had been leaking for awhile. He looked at the wooden support structure and drywall and told me he thought everything was OK and that it would dry out and it did. The costs was only $98.00!!

+ -1 moreThey were good. The faucets were all outdoors and we had a big freeze here in January or February. I think there were about 5 faucets outside for all the hoses. They didn't replace the faucets. They just put washers in them all. It was great.
