The repairmen, Will and Terry, arrived on time and diagnosed the issue quickly. They had the part in their truck and completed the repair. They replaced the surface igniter, checked and cleaned the flame sensor and pressure switch. They were friendly and worked professionally.

I’ve been a loyal Ray Baker customer for several years and use them yearly to do the backflow valve checks on my sprinkler system. So when the valve ruptured due to cold weather I obviously called them. They told me they were very busy due to the cold. I asked if they could just have someone come turn off the valve, I could wait until a later date to have them fix it. They agreed. The plumber arrived later in the afternoon and took 2mins to turn off the valve. I was then given a bill for $65 and told they gave me a discount. The plumber also said they would have usually waived the fee but since they were busy.....well, they won’t need to service my house any more. I can’t believe I was charged that much to turn off a valve they knew I would hire them to fix. I will find someone else to fix it and do the yearly backflow checks. Very disappointed they felt the need to charge so much to a loyal customer for simply turning off a valve.

They are excellent. I use them a lot.

Two plumbers were dispatched. They arrived on time and worked about 3 hours. They were professional, polite, and neat in their work. They had given me an estimate for the work before they started. And the final invoice was what they had estimated. I've used Ray Baker several times, since I have a 60 year old house, and have always been happy with their work. And I'm sure I will have to use them again.

We have had no further issues with the pilot light going out.

Plumber was less than knowledgeable. I got a replacement piece, and he and a coworker came over to install. In the process they broke a pipe to my shower and then, hoping I wouldn't notice they'd broken the system beyond repair, they told me I needed to buy a whole new shower kit ($400+) because my replacement piece wouldn't fit (I screwed it in without issue after they left). When I confronted the company, they said they would not pay for a new system, despite admitting to breaking it. I would pursue legal action, but I'll let karma work its magic on these fools.

They installed a new garbage disposal.

I had tried to install a faucet myself and had to call them to come in and fix it. They discovered my plumbing under the kitchen sink was hooked up all wrong. He even went to Home Depot to get a part that wasn't in the packaging for the faucet on his own time. They are good and have been around for a long time and they are local.

Excellent. If there was an A+ category, I would rate them A+ for everything. Bob was extremely knowledgable, most customer-friendly, and took care of the problems. This was also an after-hours job starting around 730PM and ending around 9PM - as we found a large faucet leak upon returning home after being away for 3 days. Thank YOU!

Vern did an excellent job of diagnosing and repairing the line, then ran the dishwasher to make sure there leak was gone, which it was.

When the hot water heater quit working on Saturday morning I called Ray E. Baker. They sent a service man out in about 2 hours. He went to the attic and diagnosed the problem quickly. The service man had the part needed on his truck and completed the repair in less than an hour. He was polite and quiet. I called the office on Monday and paid by credit card. It has been two weeks now and the repair job is holding. I've used Ray E. Baker several times before for heating, air conditioning, and plumbing. They have always been great and I will use them again.

Bob was really nice and professional. He fixed the problem and went above and beyond my expectations.

It went very well. They arrived on time, were very professional, completed the job in one day and cleaned up after themselves. I have used Ray Baker many times over the past 15 years and will continue to call on them for my plumbing needs.

They are wonderful. My experience with them was wonderful. They do what they say they are going to do. I have been using them for 15 years. With regard to price, I had gotten bids up to about $1300 for the same thing from other companies.

For quite a long time, I had to deal with my washing machine leaking, but they did not charge me at all. Their policy is if they can't fix it or if there's something that they're unable to do, they do not charge you. I think that's phenomenal. I would definitely use them again.

Terry arrived on time identified the leak from the shut-off valve close to the heating unit and replaced it. He also found that the igniter installed was the wrong one and replaced it. He then serviced the heater unit in older part of the house and then the one in the newer part of the house. He was very professional, efficient and knowledgeable. I was looking for a company to do business with that I could trust for my heating and A/C needs and Ray Baker will fit that bill nicely. Very satisfied with the scheduling of the appointment, the time of arrival and the manner in which the work was done. I will definitely use them again.

Called to check water mark on the roof. Associate came and said it was roof leak and collected $95. Its a two minute work and ninety five dollars was too steep . Mentioned Angies's list but no help. Reluctantly paid high amount for nothing. Just want to share with other customers. Caveat Emptor.

This is the third time I have used Ray Baker after finding them on Angie's list. Just bought a new house and have needed both plumbing and heating repairs done. Honest, affordable, and know what they are doing. Been on time every time and completed the jobs quickly; everybody that has come seems like they have been at it for a while.

Bob arrived and fixed a list of issues. He was very skilled and talented and was able to quickly fix the problems. He was honest and did not try to over charge me or propose expensive solutions. I actually thought a link under my sink could be a serious issue but Bob let me know that it was simply a lose part that he fixed. I would highly recommend this company, and the plumber who came to my house.

I left work on short notice to meet the rep at his request. He arrived 45 minutes later than he said he would. He mumbled about measurements and gas meter calculations. I even mentioned that I wondered if I would need to upgrade meter. I was ready to do so. He then said that someone would call me on Monday ( this was Friday morning) No call. When I finally did call I was told" oh I am surprised that he didn't tell you then that the meter could' handle the additional load. I don't know why someone didn't call" Guess what Ray Baker: I would have upgraded the meter wth MLGW and give you the job. Not now. I will make sure to tell the next business contractor to thank you for the job you threw away.

I thought I had a clogged condensation drain so I turned off a/c and called home warranty company. They sent an a/c company whose tech spent forever in my attic and then told me that the clog was in the main drain so he would have to call a plumber but that he had broken the pipe trying to clear the clog so he would have to come back the next day to replace it before calling the plumber. He returned the next day and told me he replaced the pipe. When the plumber came, he said there was no clog but the pipe had frozen in the winter and burst and replacing it would not be covered by my home warranty but he would be happy to do it for $575! I told him that seemed like a ridiculous price to replace a very short piece of PVC pipe and sent him on his way. I called a plumbing company recommended by a friend and they said the repair should be no more than $200 and they would have someone call me to schedule an appointment for later that week. I never heard back from them so I went to Angie's List to find a highly rated company and found that Ray Baker was near the top of the list. (Coincidentally, I went to college with Ray Baker's grandchildren). I called and shared my tale of woe. They had a very nice tech (Adam) at my house the next morning and he had my problem solved quickly for $129!

Fantastic, would definitely use again! Very pleased in all aspects of service from initial call to completion of service. I had a bathroom sink that kept backing up and I thought it was something worse than just gunk building up in my drain lines, but that's all that it was and there was no attempt to up sell, rather I got great advice on preventing it from happening in the future. I wanted to fix it myself, but when I went to turn off the water, both shut off valves started leaking (spraying!) and I know from experience, it's time to call a plumber. No joke, every thing was done in less than an hour, I was back to work within my lunch hour. I think the technician (#10) spent more time writing up the ticket than the work (not really, but very impressed with skill and knowledge). I thought the price was very fair which included a relief valve on my hot water heater that I had not noticed leaking, and he also taught me a bit about my plumbing which I didn't know before as well. I chose this provider based on reputation and average price seemed much lower than competitors and I was not disappointed.

The excellent service began with the call to schedule the service. The person answering the phone and booking appointments was attentive, responsive and efficient. I was able to choose a time that worked well with my schedule. The service man arrived early in the 4 hour time span I was given, proceeded about the work in a straightforward and efficient manner, did a thorough job, and answered all my questions all the way. I felt that he did an excellent job and I will be pleased to have them back for the fall service. I have been using Ray Baker off an on since the 1970's and I have never been disappointed. I won't stray again!
