Binswanger Glass

It did not go. How many times are you going to send me back something I must correct? They did not show up for an estimate. That is all there is to it.

They were professional and polite and went out of their way to help.

When I purchased my house it was because I loved the glass ceiling in my breakfast room. It made my house distinctly different from any I had seen before. Soon the charm of the ceiling became a nightmare of leaks. I contacted a local contractor, Vern Oatman. We decided to not only replace the breakfast room ceiling but extent it out to cover my patio thereby adding an additional sunroom. What had been an 8 panel ceiling became a 20 panel ceiling. After about a year the seals of the double paned glass panels began to become unsealed. I contacted Binswanger and was told the panels had only a 1 year warranty. My contractor took no responsibility. When he had me pay Binswanger directly I thought I was so I would have recourse in case of a problem. Presently the seals are only viable in 7 of the 20 panels. Water pours in when it rains. There is no insulation. I am faced with having to have the job done again but I will not hire a contractor and I will choose another company.

This is the Binswanger Glass #53 of Lilburn, GA that did the work. On time, professional and good work. Would use again. There are other franchises. This franchise was very responsive with an estimate and the work. Another franchise did not return my call for two weeks.

Perfect job and great on site people

Called Binswanger Glass #088 (1818 Bingle, Houston, TX) that morning and was told window would be at their shop by 10am and would take 1 1/2 - 2 hours to replace. That is exactly what happened. I waited for them to fix the window in their clean, comfortable waiting area. Will definitely use them again if I need another car window replaced.

Binswanger was great! They were very accommodating with their schedule and the price quoted was way lower (by about $80) than other companies who weren't in town. The glass is tempered but not factory. Still, the work was done very professionally, quickly, and left me confident in the service. The technician was friendly and vacuumed the shards of broken glass from the seats and floor.

Quality of work was good, after complaints were made.

They were on time, did a great job, cleaned up after themselves.

I called the Houston store on Chimney Rock @ 59 for a quote and it was lower than several other places I had called. I was able to schedule a drop in time 1 hour out to have a new crack on my windshield repaired. The staff was very courteous and helpful. My vehicle was taken to the service area as soon as I arrived and I was out the door within 15 minutes. I can now barely see the spot where the crack was. I will use them again the next time I need glass work.

I called the 1-800 number and was quickly put through to the shop closest to my home in Houston. The person I spoke to took my number and said that someone else would call me back by the next day. When no-one did, a few days later, I tried again and got the same lack of response. Everyone I spoke to was courteous but as I could not get to speak to anyone who could help me or even to schedule an appointment, this is not a company that I could trust to show up or to do the work.

Previously we have contacted Binswanger and left message for call back. No one responds back. I really don't know what the problem was. They came highly referred by several people but I don't understand what their issue is. I am going to seek out another glass company. I am very disappointed with their service.

I guess their prices are reasonable. I've used them because they're a big company. My insurance company gave me three or four names to call. I knew them so I used them.

My experience was mixed. On one side they were courteous and had informed that the crack in glass might expand. But I didn't expect it to crack too much. The more they tried to fix it, the more it cracked. In 15 mts, it was beyond repair. It disappointed me. I had to change my windshield eventually.

Good job, fair price. Does take a week for glass to come in.

Binswager Glass completed the replacement as promised.

On both occasions they called when the glass was ready to be picked up and the pieces were cut exactly to my specifications. Perfect fit. Very pleased and will use them again.

The windshield looks nice, but the gasket is slightly off center on the passenger side

I have used Binswanger in the past and this review is the culmination of three interactions with the company. I had a broken window at my vacation home in Galveston and called them to take care of it, they said they would be out that day and would not need access to the home. As I lived in Houston I assumed the job was done and was not concerned. TWO WEEKS later I came down to the home and found my broken window was still there and the weather and elements had damaged my window sill and wood floors. I called again and made sure they came out that time. They did and prices were reasonable, technician was nice. No apologies for not showing up and the damages caused. Several months later, I had another broken window and decided to give them another chance. Told me they would come out that day (again). Never heard from them again. I have moved on and have another company taking care of my glass needs. Apparently Binswanger is too big to care or needs a new receptionist to fill out work orders. Very disappointed.

I called that morning for an estimate and they had the cost ready right then. They also had searched for the replacement glass while we were on the phone. While they were not the cheapest they were not the most expensive. The service was great and provided transportation to and from while they did the work.

It was an insurance covered repair so i cant answer price, but everything else was top notch! Great Service, Prompt, Professional, good job!

It's been 10 days since the first call. It didn't happen.

They were busy and couldn't get to the car right away and since it was supposed to rain most of the weekend I took it over there and they put in a temporary window so I could see and keep the rain out. They were very thoughtful in doiing this as they could have taped in platic that would have been more difficult to see out of. Then the following week they came out and replaced the windows and cleaned out the glass. They needed a part for the door window and had to come back but the whole job was done by Thursday. Very nice folks would definately use them agian.

Very prompt on returning call. Ordered parts and did repairs as promised. Will definitely use again as needed. Great to work with.

I received a quick response to my request for a quote. A technician surveyed the work and provided a quote. The work was scheduled and the installation went according to schedule and at the price quoted.
